Impressed with value and performance – We were a bit hesitant on buying after reading a 3 star review but this induction top works with our existing Kmart pots works perfect and simple once you have used it a few times. Loving it
Purchased in for $249.
Functional yet mediocre performance – Looked great until it got used! Moderate amount of packaging, but presumably the glass induction top needed protecting that bit more. This product is an induction hob. It has finger tip touch buttons which illuminate bright red, informing you of each hob that is either off/on/cooling down. The on/off fingertip touch button is at times problematic. For no explicable reason, it fails to activate on occasion. (After going through problem solving ie. Surface is not 100% free of dirt or smearing, pot is positioned incorrectly, etc) Its tempermental behaviour can be frustrating at times! However, it does eventually spring-into-life and you can commence cooking.
The glass is ridiculously sensitive! To boil up a pot of water one has to set the temp to high. This setting 'ruins' the glass (see pic). For the price, I'm prepared to put up with it and can't be bothered to uninstall the product (it requires a qualified electrician to install).
It cooks evenly which is nice! Apart from the 'scratched like' surface, it also looks nice.
Like I say, for the price it's satisfactory.
