Ikea service is appalling – Purchased in Nov 23, failed in late Mar 24, raised service request with Ikea 2nd April and took a full month for a service tech to arrive on 2nd May, no spare parts or replacement on hand, just able to let me know the same thing I had told Ikea a month prior, its broken. The service agent received the job 48 hours prior to showing up so no issue there. Whether that was because I contacted Fair Trading the week before I cant be sure. For Ikea to take a month to get a job through the system for a cooktop is appalling. We were left using a portable camp stove - which Ikea knew. Do yourself a favor and pay a third of the price from a retailer that has a presence local to you.
