Jasper Coffee

I recently brought 1kg of Ethiopian beans, as I remembered making some of the best coffee with those ~14 years ago. The bag came with no roasting date, and the beans were stale AF. Such a disappointment at this price ($65 on sale) when I can get great fresh beans for a lot less... Won't buy ever again.
Coffee coffee – The coffee is always great , the team are friendly as I work in the centre I will always come here for coffee . And a great selection of cakes !! Yum yum
- Store Location: Victoria Melbourne ( highpoint )
Outstanding – Was working at Chadstone last week so decided to drop into Jasper for the first time. All I could say is wow. The barista was very knowledgeable and friendly and that was one of the best flat whites I've ever had. So good I decided to order some beans for my home machine.

Whole Beans for home – I have been buying strong coffees since 1990, but since I moved out of Fitzroy North area, I found buying a great coffee hard, either the coffee was crap or the person making it was not experienced, my coffee is a double shot Espresso, no sugar. ( a good Barista needs 2 years to start making a good coffee, longer for a great coffee !). So I brought a great machine and grinder to go with it for home, then the hunt was on to find some great whole beans. Sounds easy, well no. I have tried heaps and even some of the best coffee shops around, buying their beans for home, paying big $$ for the great coffee at home. I knew of Jasper's from years earlier, and now I was working in central Queensland, (back in Melb now), so I ordered online, heaps of bean choices. I have tried around 10 different ones, but now have settled on 3, with the occasional Special Release, including Blue Mountain. Also, I am on their mailing list for special buys.
So, if you want a great choice and don't care if its over $50 a kilo to buy GREAT coffee this is the place, oh and it has a nice Fitzroy cafe with a little lane to a back courtyard, a real Fitzroy feel to it.
So great coffee for home buy here, remember you get what you pay for.
No longer worth the effort – Is it just me or have Jasper Coffee really dropped the ball. Not only do they no longer seem to be organic certified, the wait I had to endure at the Chadstone store recently made the quick take away pick me up a really poor experience. Well below the usual level I have come to expect. I also grabbed some beans while I was there and the flavour when I made the coffee at home was really flat. Stay away as there are lots of other roasters and cafes who are way better for service and quality.
Appalling service, poor quality coffee.
