Jayco = junk – I purchased a new Jayco jayfeather in 2008. Almost immediately the rear plastic bumper cracked and the finish came off. I contacted Jayco and they replaced the bumper through their dealer. Within 6 months the bumper did the same thing. The cracking would start at the mounting holes and travel down the bumper. It became so bad it was unsafe to pull down the road as it could fall off in front of traffic. I have since bought two new bumpers as replacements at about $500.00 each. Jayco refuses to acknowledge the poor engineering of their product. Building a replacement out of metal is not an option because of the shape and contour of the bumper. I will not buy another Jayco product.

Jayco 16XRB trailer – Just used the camper twice, both times the beds got wet on the bottoms, condensation.I feel that you pay this kind of money for a top named camper, you wouldn't have this problem. Using fans and opening windows is not a fix. If I were told of this when I bought the camper, I wouldn't have. I had a regular Pop up for years and had no problem. So I guess now I have to spend money to remedy the problem. A design flaw. Very disappointed.

Stay away from Jayco – Back door rotted out after only 5 years, to replace it will cost another $850 to be shipped to Canada. Called Jayco and the service erson said warranty was past and they could not do any thing for me. I have since repaired the door myself for $20 for the wood. My problem is how much more of the trailer is rotted out, pay $20,000 for a unit and you would think it would last longer then a few years. no warranty!
