on my lightweight bag won't fully extend. It consistently gets stuck halfway through my trips once I reach my destination, making it a struggle to wheel around. When I reached out to customer service about these malfunctions, they tried to blame me, saying the bag was 'packed' wrong. A suitcase is meant to be packed! If the hardware and attachments can't handle a full bag during a normal cross-country trip, it is a manufacturing defect, not user error. I no longer like or trust this luggage. I expected much better quality and support for the price. I’ll be looking for a brand that actually stands behind their 'lifetime' promise.

My suitcase's zip split open after 5yrs of use. I contacted them to get a new one under warranty and they almost immediately approved it. It only took them 24hrs and it was an easy and straight forward process. emailing earlier this week, sending an Instagram DM 24 hours ago, and leaving multiple comments on their posts, I have received zero response. July has deleted 3 of my 4 Instagram comments, along with other negative comments from customers reporting the same experience — ignored emails, untracked orders, and no communication for weeks.

Under Australian Consumer Law, failing to dispatch within their own stated timeframe is a breach of their policy. I am now lodging a complaint with NSW Fair Trading. If you need reliable delivery for a specific date, I would strongly caution against ordering online from July.

The customer service is appalling, using bullying and delaying tactics to try and wear the customer down. The bag is very shoddy made, scratches very easily, and the handle is just junk.

Hoping for a resolution, I promptly contacted the July team via email, providing them with detailed information and accompanying photos of the damaged cases. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer service proved to be highly disappointing. Despite engaging in numerous back-and-forth exchanges, the team continuously requested additional information, including more photos and videos showcasing the condition of the zippers and handles.

After enduring two extensive months of correspondence and diligently providing all the requested evidence, I was disheartened to receive a refund for only one of the damaged cases. This left me bewildered, as the representative in the refund email explicitly mentioned that "those," referring to the three cases, could not be resolved, and a refund under warranty would be processed. Such wording led me to believe that all three cases would be addressed. To my surprise, only one refund was issued.

Seeking clarity, I reached out to the representative, [Name Removed], once again, despite having already shared all the necessary information. [Name Removed] requested that I undergo the whole process of providing additional photos and information, causing further frustration and confusion.

Reluctantly, I complied with the request, only to receive another disappointing response. The other two cases were deemed to have cosmetic damage that allegedly did not affect their functionality, rendering them ineligible for a refund. This decision left me frustrated, as all three cases were genuinely damaged and thus unable to be repaired or used.

I feel compelled to caution others not to be deceived by the bright colors and impressive showroom presentations. What truly matters is the quality of the product, and unfortunately, July luggage failed to deliver on this front.

Overall, my experience with July has been highly unsatisfactory, characterized by a lack of effective communication and inconsistent adherence to warranty terms. I cannot recommend their products based on my own disappointing encounter.

can't generate revenue based on product quality.

I pre-ordered the Juliette work bag - I was after a larger size but called the store in Bondi junction where a salesperson advised they were not coming back in stock. She also guaranteed that the smaller size would work for me (I have a 15' inch laptop and the website clearly stated that the laptop sleeve could fit a 13'screen). We went back and forth a bit, but due to the free return I thought I'd give it a go. It obviously doesn't fit and I'm left feeling robbed.

It's incredibly hard to leave a review, they do not welcome you to do that upon purchasing the product and their google business profile is closed to keep ratings up - the absolute worst.

 Follow-up  · They changed the wording on the website excluding the word "FREE" (It now states 100 day returns). They have also emailed me offering a full refund in this occasion (after I had already shipped the bag back and selected the option of partial refund). Great costumer service from them, and refreshing to see a company taking feedback onboard and doing the right thing

compartments, smooth on the wheels. No trouble with the zips or build quality. I like the built in combination lock which I do use. The odd scratch, but hey... it's a working suitcase. It's going to get scuffed and knocked about a bit. I paired it with some good quality silicon luggage straps as extra insurance against rough handling at airports.

July were at fault and, lucky me, I got to repair the suitcase for them! The sent me out a spare part, the job was pain due to the flimsy construction but I got it done. Very disappointing purchase, no more July for me.

set of wheels but no refund. To be fair it was outside the 100day satisfaction guarantee. Wheels arrived within 2 business days and fairly easy to replace.

In summary, the July bag is not designed for regular frequent flyer use however if you take a trip a few times a year then it would be fine.

My wheel fell off on its third trip, when I tried to get it replaced, I was told I qualified to fix it myself with a wheel they will send in the mail. For the money just wait for the sales of a reputable company, and get a better quality. There’s suitcases in K- M$&T that are the same quality. Never again!!!

July bags can have flaws that are not covered under warranty – Word of warning. The last bag we purchased from July had a pronounced bow in the plastic around where the locks are located. This is considered acceptable by July and is not covered under warranty. The locking tabs work properly when the bag is empty. However filling the bag causes the plastic to bow even further downwards and the bag cannot be… Read more

locked. July know of this issue as they've a video of a work around where the zipper lip has to be pressed down to align the two plastic sides to allow the tabs to be inserted into the lock.

I'd consider this a fairly major design or production flaw if a packed new bag isn't able to be locked without being forced. I don't think any other brand would say this is acceptable. Certainly I've never had this issue with a new bag.

We contacted July support who were very prompt and helpful but said that this is not a warranty issue. The only other comment was that the bag should correct itself after use. There has been nothing else from July support since we replied back to their workaround that it shouldn't be acceptable to have a new bag in this condition.

We'd purchased three other July bags previously. All of which work perfectly. This last bag has turned us off. So please be aware of what you might be getting yourself into.

compartment, how much the tote could fit in and the quality is the cells. All was well until the tote started to wear really poorly, I reached out and after some back and forth I was given a credit.

I bought a large check in and a cover-so far so good.

My carry on pro (after 5 trios only, checked in and also on a road trip) charger stopped charging (you charge it for hours and it doesn’t hold power). The handle is also extremely wobbly which impacts being able to glide along with it. Reached out to customer service, initial email was they can’t do anything, then advised they don’t refund on items that are not faulty and send a video-sent a video of the wobbly handle and the charger blinking, and was told both was normal and they were not faulty. It has been two months of back and forth and I have been offered for it to be sent to be inspected but no refund (I am now asking a refund for both items as when paying premium price you want something that lasts and good follow up care.

I am so disappointed as I wanted to love this Australian company, the look and concept is great but in my experience the quality and customer service is not there. I hate having to argue and would rather buy a less aesthetically appealing brand like antler. They last.

battle, there is still no resolution, I still hold an ugly Charcoal case with Forest corners and July hold all my money.

My engagement with July has indicated they have poor advertising standards and ethics, poor customer service, poor environmental practices, poor accessibility options and overall questionable ethics.

Note: At the time of publishing this review July CX head of Operations has assured me collection of my case has been scheduled. However, I have zero confirmation or tangible information to believe this.

When I reached out to customer service to express how disappointing and unfair their offer was, they didn’t seem to care. There was no acknowledgment that I was even a customer. I ended up purchasing Delsey luggage instead, which is more stylish and is offering 50% off for Black Friday. I will never return to JULY.

time using it) and the exterior part hingeing both sides of the suitcase together is falling apart. The stitching is hanging on by a thread and the suitcase looks like it will break at any point in time. My friend's suitcase is fine however you can very clearly tell that it is incredibly poor quality. I would strongly suggest steering clear of July as it's really not worth taking the gamble and ending up with a suitcase that is falling apart. I'll likely have to buy a new bag as I don't trust this one at all to last the trip home. Such a shame and such a waste of money! This is literally Target / Kmart quality for over $240... Now I will have to spend ages trying to get a refund >:(

They were very prompt and supportive and replied within 1 business day. I was shocked a company finally honoured their warranty. I’ll always recommend July luggage and purchase from them after this wonderful experience!

Save your money – I am very disappointed with my carry on expandable bag. After its first use on a return domestic flight it has scuffs across it that look like shallow cuts so the colour and materials clearly aren’t fit for purpose! The extendable handle is wobbly and slips from position up or down and the case is too heavy for carry on. An expensive mistake I won’t be repeating. Back to Antler luggage. Show details

They told me the personalisation voids any ability to received a refund or exchange. That the sticker can’t be removed which is rediculous. This wasn’t made clear to me when the option for free personalisation flashed up on the screen at checkout. Seems pretty dodgy to me. Shame the sticker is such poor quality otherwise would have been fine.

swap over. Came in a few days to where I was staying! Made getting back to Australia much easier than trying to manage with only 3 wheels. I call that good service. The wheel warranty is good. My case had been worked hard - but they do warranty for life. Sure they are expensive cases, but the aftercare appears to be worth it. Its not a throwaway case.

applied equally across all items, regardless of their value. This makes no sense—discounts should be split by value, not equally across items.

To make matters worse, the customer service was abysmal. It took a whopping 45 minutes for the chat agent to respond to my queries, and even then, the issue remained unresolved. The entire experience was frustrating and a waste of time. I have screenshot proof of everything. I expected much better from a company like July. Would not recommend.

Too heavy to be used as carry on – The carry on pro is nice. But the advertised weight is an outright lie. It weighs over 4.5kg with nothing in it. That leaves only a couple of kilograms for clothes etc. which equates to one pair of pants, underwear for one day and one toiletries bag. I'm so disappointed. It's just going to sit in my cupboard until I need it as check-in baggage. Utterly useless as carry on baggage. Show details
