Poor quality – Non stick surface peeling off after 2 months and only ever used soft rubberised utensils...also power plug is difficult to remove on pan end Wouldn't buy again as is of very poor quality and a total waste of money Show details
Thermostat issues – The thermostat does not cycle well, when simmering it will go flat out for way too long. The general condition is OK, but our old Sunbeam frypan was far more accurate, great for pancakes or roasts Show details
Worked well for 2 months then – Pros - Large volume, heats up quickly and easy to clean with detachable power cord. Cons - Non stick coating around the area where the element touches the surface came off after about 2 months. Doesnt maintain temperature, you will have to constantly stir and adjust temperature dial to maintain the required temperature. Price & Durability -… Read more
Bought for $50 from JBHifi. Unusable after 4 months because food sticks to the bottom and also noticed the non stick coating coming off and contaminating the food.
Conclusion - Bad value for money. Good for only a couple of months because the non stick coating doesnt last very long.
Warranty not worth a cracker – Followed the instructions given in booklet to do a Roast leg of Lamb. Unfortunately the bone scratched the coating when I turned the meat over and this is not covered by the warranty. So now it's useless because I won't cook with a scratched surface because I believe it's dangerous. I will not buy a cheap fry pan again. Thankfully it was not expensive. Show details
Thermostat not working properly – I received this frypan as a present(around 2 years ago) and since the first day I have had nothing but trouble with the thermostat. I noticed that the heat goes and I have to turn up the heat until I get to the highest setting which is 10 and then I need to turn it off and wait 10 minutes and turn it back on. I always love the kambrook range but… Read more
I will think twice in buying this brand. Now I am looking for another frypan as I am frustrated in this frypan. Seems I am not the only person who has this issue.
Really like it – bought this one 3 months ago as I needed a smaller electric frypan and so far it has been great, temp goes up and down a bit but after owning a few electric frying pans over the years that is just what happens, the non stick is good I oiled it as recommended only use wood or plastic in it and clean with a soft cloth all food washes off easily with… Read more
the non stick - I have not had any problems have cooked crumbed chicken in it with a very small amount of oil it was fine, have cooked others meals and it has been fine, no food disasters.
I'm happy with it, it was inexpensive and I love the glass lid always handy to be able to see the food without lifting the lids and losing the heat
Issues with maintaining constant heat – I have been having ongoing issues with my Kambrook electric frypan KEF125. It does not keep a constant heat. Even when I've got it cranked all the way up to 10, at 8 or lower. About to take it back and get something cheaper in the hope the temperature is more reliable. Last one was a cheppy but then the surface didn't seem to last that long. Maybe it's just this pan.... Surface appears to be staying on and not showing any wear heating
