Spout overflows – Terrible spout design - water pours all over the place. Hard to see how this was not picked up before putting it on the market. Show details

Stylish looking kettle and quiet! – Great little kettle. Looks good - nice finish. Quieter than other kettles. Lid flips up almost 90 degrees so easy to fill with water. Boils pretty quickly compare to other kettles. Show details

Warning - Unsafe When It Comes To Cleaning The Kettle! – WARNING - Unsafe when it comes to cleaning the kettle! I've been using the kettle for just under 3 months. Recently I tried to clean the kettle per the instructions in the instructions booklet which relevantly states to fill the kettle until 2/3 full with 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water, bring to the boil and allow the stand overnight. I… Read more

followed the instructions – I filled the kettle with 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water, and that the kettle is only 2/3 full (so around 1.1L which is 2/3rds of the total capacity of the kettle of 1.7L). I brought it to the boil and then the hot, boiling contents overflowed, saturating the kitchen counter top and the power cord, and water got into under the power base and kettle base.

Obviously that was quite upsetting and scary. It could have caused severe burns/other injury and expensive damage to the house.

There was no warning anywhere that that could happen. I followed the instructions.

I tried calling Kambrook on their customer service multiple times. Each time I was greeted by a pre-recorded message stating that all service consultants are not available and to try the website.

If you are thinking of getting this kettle, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bear the above in mind. You don't want to injure yourself, your kids, or have your house and other goods damaged. Please also note that Kambrook don't appear to take customer service seriously as they fob off callers to their website.

Kambrook - can you please provide an explanation? Was that supposed to happen? There was no warning anywhere that that could happen. Would you recommend that I try to use the kettle again? Obviously since the incident I’ve been too scared to use the kettle again to boil water. As I said above, despite multiple tries I cannot contact you.

Heavy – This kettle is quite heavy compared to my previous plastic one. The water level indicator window starts at 700ml as minimum fill. My previous kettle was 500ml minimum fill which suited me better for 1 cup. The gold is lovely and looks very stylish. Have the gold toaster to match. Show details

Spills when fast pouring. Rust – I like Kambrook kettles as they are durable and work well. This kettle is the same but with one major design flaw. If you pour with any strength, the spout overflows and boiling water goes everywhere. I wanted to like this kettle as everything else is great but just be aware esp around children and elderly. After 10 months the area around the lid is starting to rust. Show details

Kambrook KKE630RSE2JAN1 – No reviews for this kettle but the same just rose gold. I really like the look of this kettle but only having had it 9 months and there is rust in the spout. Also it needs wiping over daily or it gets what I am guessing is calcium build up on the lid near the plastic handle. Show details

Good replacement – Got this after buying a kmart kettle which dies after 3 months. Structurally this kettle is pretty well made compared to others. I have previously used a Kambrook kettle for almost 6 years which was being replaced by Kmart's home brand kettle. However, there was a time where there wasn't any water in the kettle but the heating element just… Read more

started heating up without the switch being pressed. I am not sure if there is any design issue with it but it only happened once.

I do hope that Kambrook could investigate on this because it's a pretty serious issue and may burn down a house if not detected earlier.
