No Frills Kettle – This is a very basic kettle in every sense. It basically does the job of boiling water, that's it. I do find it to be very loud which is what I dislike the most about it, so I am looking at getting a different one for this reason, but it's ok for now. Yes the outside gets hot, so I make sure it always sits as far away from the edge as… Read more

possible to avoid any accidents, but I've never had any issues in that regard.

It has a decent capacity - 1.7 litres, and our lid is very easy to open and to re-fill.

It's not the best looking kettle and it doesn't boil water to different temperatures, so best for coffee drinkers. It's cheap and does the job. It's very loud and the outside gets very hot to touch.

Poor design and too slow – I only purchased this kettle a few weeks ago, and whilst at first I was reasonably happy with it, it soon became apparent that its design leaves a lot to be desired. Not only does it take ages to boil (the slowest I have ever had), but it is quite loud, it sometimes leaks, the lid is extremely (almost impossible) to open - but worst of all is that… Read more

it is very easy to burn yourself on this kettle. In short, I would not recommend it to anyone and am very disappointed in the product. Cheap. Looks good. Poor design. Dangerous. Lid too hard to open. Slow and noisy

Dangerous, threw it out after first use – My grandmother recently moved in with my mother, and as a result my grandmother's kettle (this one) came with her. She hadn't used it, and it was still new in box after being given to her for her birthday. I was visiting them both, making a cup of coffee, and when the jug had boiled I reached "blind" to pick up the jug, and proceeded to burn my… Read more

fingertips on the jug. The outside metal of the jug is not insulated from the inside.

With that in mind we threw it out and started using my mother's old one again, a plastic insulated kettle.

I would not recommend this jug in any way. Looks good. Dangerous

Excellent – Good price and quiet. Value for money and has similar features to those that are more expensive. Worth considering this kettlw when looking at cordless ones. I brought this kettle to replace my previous Russell Hobbs Kettle which was so noisy that it sounded like a jet engine taking off. The Kambrook kettle has the same features but is much… Read more

quieter and cheaper. Definitely worth the saving the money and buying this one. The filter is easy to remove and clean. The base about the same size as the Russell Hobbs so I did not notice it taking up more roomm.

OK – A sound, reliable kettle, budget priced kettle, but not quiet or quick enough for my liking. As soon as I can decide on a better brand I will bin this one, as the noise is very annoying. Nice shape, reliable, has outlasted another more expensive kettle. Very noisy, can't hear TV or people talking in adjoining room, takes quite a while to heat up water. Latch to open the lid can be a touch fiddly.

Good – Generally i think it is petty good. There were so many bad reviews of kettles that when my old one died I didn't know where to start. It is not perfect but I couldn't find any that were and wasn't prepared to pay a fortune for one that could be a lemon. It is pretty easy to use and turn on, a little hard to read the water gauge, not too noisy or… Read more

too steamy and good to look at. And it was a reasonable price (maybe cheaper on special)I think it waould make a great work kettle considering how warm it stays. It pours quite well with no drips. It has a hinged lid but you need two fingers to squeeze the catch. So you need to open it first and then pick it up if you have the other hand busy. Altogether we are quite happy with it . This kettle looks good and was a reasonable price for $47 dollars at Woolies. Saw it elsewhere for 20 dollars dearer. Whilst not whisper quiet it is not too noisy especially compared with my previous. Has a quick shut off so you dont have a kitchen full of steam. It does keep the water hot full a long time( a couple of hours) so is quick for a reboil. It is not super quick from cold to boil if that bothers you. Because the base is wider than the top you have to tip it over quite a way to pour if it is near empty but if it is half full it is fine.

SImple, elegant and does the job – Love this kettle. This may also be because its the most expensive one I've bought. Love the fact that you don't have to plug it in and you just chuck it on top of the base and press the switch. The switch is placed in a super logical location so you can press it when you hold the handle naturally. It takes some time to heat up but it is a lot… Read more

faster than my old kettles.

Highly recommend this as it's easy to use and affordable. Easy to use, efficient, cheap could heat water faster

Excellent – This is a great kettle. I have had it for over a month, there has been no leaks, and I can't fault anything about. And for the price ($40 at woolies or $30 when on special) you cannot fault it. I brought this kettle based on the above review and have not been disappointed. It is a fantastic kettle. I looked at more expensive brands and for $30 you… Read more

cannot go wrong. It's quiet, boils really quickly, has a removable filter and looks really good in the kitchen. The water level indicator is easy to read in indicates the level in both cups and litres which is handy. Has a broad base, but so what? Still looks good

Excellent – I recommend this kettle- there's no spluttering when it's boiling and it does a great job boiling water. I love this kettle- it looks great, it heats up pretty fast, it is not noisy , the water is "hot"and the element isn't in the kettle at all. It has a well designed spout so when pouring no spillage. Nothing- I even got it on special.
