A Faulty and dangerous kettle – AS per the previous reviews after approx. 8 months the lid of my kettle would pop open when near boiling point therefore causing the kettle to boil continually. Very dangerous if you should leave the room and forget about it. I gave this a one start but this was too high. A nice looking kettle but a safety hazard ** please do not buy this kettle**

Badly made and leaks after 18 months – The lid catch failed after 12 months so the automatic boil shut-off does not work. Cheap plastic catch and rubbish engineering. At the 12 to 18 months of use, the kettle started leaking. I high recommend avoiding the Kambrook brand and this kettle in particular. They are clearly not interested in manufacturing products of even nominal quality.… Read more

This does not even compete with $15 kettle in my estimation. I personally will never buy another Kambrook product purely due the the outrageous lack of quality of this single product.

Lid keeps popping, even on replacement – After about 2 months the lid started opening randomly. Kettle replaced. Happened on the replacement too around the same time. Poor quality hinge, making it both unsafe and unusable as the open lid means the boil sensor never activates, boiling the kettle dry. Unfortunately I bought the matching toaster so will have to fork out for a new different… Read more

toaster if I want a matching pair. Another $5-$10 on a hinge that actually works would have been no issue for my budget. Kambrook, if you're reading, please do take note.

It looks good and boils the water But lid won't stay shut – Bought this to replace our old kettle and wanted . I love it. It looks good and boils the water very hot. It is also quite too. Well worth the little bit extra paid. 29/8/23 after 12 month the lid has failed. This was the second kettle where this has happened to us. The lid just will not stay shut anymore. Bit noisy too. Do not recommend. Avoid this one. Show details

Great looking kettle, reliable a little quick to wear though! – Taste of water and design is fantastic and exactly as advertised. However, Kettle is prone to scuffing and the inside of the kettle seems to be wearing within 12 months of purchasing Show details

Lid/Button Doesn't Always Work – Only had this kettle for about a month and there is already a fault with the lid/button mechanism where even if lid is closed, it may not engage the button release properly. This means that the button will jam and not open the lid even if you push the button down hard. Only work-around is to push/wiggle the lid a bit so that it engages the button's mechanism, which makes this a massive fault. Show details

Malfunction of lid – Every time we push the lid down to boil the kettle, while it’s boiling the lid pops back up. Takes a while to boil the water, the water does get hot when boiled though which is good Show details

Nice but noisy – Sick of expensive brand appliances that break after a few years, I've returned to Kambrook. Got a Scandi Chic electric kettle from Big W, $69, quite nice-looking dark grey with convincing fake wood trim. Good size, 1.7 litres. Fast to heat the water, too. But be warned, it is noisy! Especially when it gets going, it is actually not pleasant to be… Read more

near. If it lasts as long as classic Kambrook things I'll be happy, and certainly this kettle does not disgrace the look of the kitchen bench. But you might need to do things in another room while it's boiling your water.
