Karcher K2.080 pressure washer – Like any product that is purchased there's always good one's and bad, I purchased my Karcher in 2009 from Supercheap and it's been going like a dream, normal uses are cleaning concrete, the deck, windows & guttering, the mother in law's home and the car every 2weeks no complaints from me. Show details

Don’t expect it to last for more than a few years – I bought this for $99 to do my deck, I got 2 good uses out of it over the years, the second time a few years later to redo the deck. I unpacked it from storage to clean a balcony and the unit overhead and began smoking. If you want something durable don’t by one of these.  Show details

Great unit but suction hose not ideal – Love Karcher products. Great little unit. Hose to use from buckets etc doesn't always work as expected. I keep open end submerged and back fill some water down hose but this hose addition doesn't work as advertised and at nearly $50 is half the cost of the unit Cheers Craig  Show details

Six years on and is still working – I purchased my Karcher from Bunnings in Malaga six years ago for under $100. From previous experiences I have had with low cost pressure washers I have worked out that they do not last too long. My Karcher has lasted over six years and is still going strong. I may only pull it out a few times a year but when I do it gets a decent workout blasting… Read more

the algae off my pavement, washing my BBQ as well as cleaning the engine bay and the underbody of my car. I have never used detergent suction hose but I'm happy it has one just in case I ever decide to use it.

After six years I am happy with this product.

A perfect pressure washer for my bike – This little beauty has lasted me over three years now and goes just as hard as it did when I first bought it. Mind you my suds line has never worked but I've never needed it anyway. Spray bottle full of KENCO truck car bike wash does the trick. And a real score for under a hundred bucks!!! Very happy.

Great little pressure washer – I purchased this washer about 5 years ago to wash my dirt bike & cars. I figured If it lasts 10 washes its paid for it self. It has not only last the 10 washes its smashed it out of the park, It still works the pressure is still great & this little unit does not get treated very well. great for only 99 bucks at Bunnings... :-)

Amazing value for money – I paid $99 in October 2012. It just died now, while I'm sad to see it go it was used at least twice a week heavily for three years. Did amazing for the cost I didn't have a sweeping head or a thing fancy. But it did a truly amazing job and would definitely recommend one to a friend or family member. Will let you know how the $200 model goes in a few years.

Great little machine – I'm a Car Detailer and use this little pressure washer all the time and it hasn't missed a beat. As a Detailer it gets a good work out and I also use a foam gun off the same machine, it's so easy and light to move around and the pressure is perfect for what I use it for. I would buy another for sure!!!

Didnt last long ,about 3 years.Let down by plastic pump – Bought it at Bunnings for $99 with a deck cleaner. Unit was good initially , easy to assemble at the wand felt durable , seemed to be constructed well. The deck cleaner attachment was disappointing , it takes several sweeps before it covers the area.Used to do the car , bicyles , pavers , house etc,not stressed at all. Yesterday using it to clear… Read more

some moss from pavers and the unit started to drop pressure , looked around to see water leaking from housing and smoke pouring out. Out to the kerbside cleanup.

Bought a higher specked Gerni , hoping that last longer ,some Gernis have metal pumps.

Gear box shuttered – i have owned this model for just under 3 years, it started to leaked oil then in a sudden it won't pressurising. Have it opened, found all plastic gearing have shuttered into pieces. My previous cleaner was made my CHEAPO brand which I have given it to a friend after purchasing this decent brand. Unfortunately, this brand has died whilst my previous CHEAPO washer still kicking... Quite disappointed with this brand name.

Disappointing quality – I bought my unit at Bunnings in 2011 and have used it a few times - very good for cleaning paving and in general I have been happy with its cleaning ability. However, it has developed an oil leak which will cost about $85 to fix so it's just not worth getting the repair done. I'll probably have to dump it soon - I suppose for $99 you can't expect… Read more

too much but poor quality products just should not be marketed. Works well, except that the fittings are pretty fiddly to use. Obviuos poor quality if it's going to pack up after relatively little use.

Karcher K 2.080 – Our first Karcher lasted years and years. We purchased the $99 model from Bunnings, used it very little, only to wash the cars. Then the unit blew up and died completely. We wouldn't waste our money on another Karcher, which is a shame because they used to have a very good name. Poor quality

This whole thread sounds like you get what you pay for, $99 won't get a professional quality machine!

Excellent value for money & good manufacturer support – These are on special now for $80 at Masters, so I purchased one to supplement my other 13 year old Karcher, as the additional fittings I already own are interchangeable. This new machine was purchased solely to clean the cars, so it will have an easy life. From out of the box the supplied spray lance had a blockage which I couldn't solve. One… Read more ·  1

call to Karcher customer care and a new one arrived in the mail within 2 days!

This machine does not appear as robust as my old unit, as production has moved to China but I cannot fault the manufacturers support. Think about that before you buy an unknown brand with no after sales backup or parts available. Inexpensive, manufacturers support, backwards compatibility with accessories 3 metre hose too short, not up to the quality standard of older made in Germany machines

Good entry level cheap machine – For what I paid ($99) it works very well. The water pressure seems excellent, certainly adequate for cleaning mould/algae off the side of my house. It is awkward to assemble, move about and store - the wand hose is very stiff and doesn't roll up. The power cable is quite inadequate and needs an extension to be useful, which is dodgy considering… Read more

there's usually lots of water around the plugs!

It won't do your whole house but its handy for cleaning the windows. Cheap, does the job, Wand cable very awkward, power cord to short. Overheats after 15 - 20 min.

Didn't last long – Purchased from Bunnings maybe 3 years ago. Hasn't had a lot of use- maybe 12 times. On off switch died. Cheap $99 I think - Wouldn't buy another one. Worked well but didn't last. Needs to be more durable. Power connection not real robust. Think I'd buy a Gerni next time. Pretty disappointing Cleaning results ok if concrete has some preapplication of cleaning agent Bit clumsy & messy to use

Fantastic! – I never owned a high pressure water cleaner before but I really wanted one after we used a borrowed Karcher to clean our concrete driveway. I bought my Karcher from Masters & used it yesterday to clean our deck. It deserves an "excellent" rating because It cost less than $100 and works really well. It was also easy to use (minimal assembly). I … Read more

might even try it to dislodge bird droppings on my car (will turn pressure down). Price, easy to use, cleaned deck really well Needed an extension cord for power.

OK for small jobs and low users – In comparison to my previous larger Karcher which lasted over 16 years; this K 2.080 is a clumsy machine in manageability with a shorter high pressure hose, mains cable and no extendable handle. To date; I use a trolley to compensate my purchase error! Plus, what used to be made of metal is now replaced by plastic fittings; i.e. High Pressure… Read more

Connection. The spray width is narrower and with being that much smaller it can overheat!? Although the same principle in operation applies to both machines when you turn the water on; it controls the water pressure so that your garden hose does not burst!

From the time I purchased my Karcher at Bunnings Warehouse (2011); I had the unit completely replaced under warranty through a Karcher representative store in my area. This procedure took all of 1 month as repairs etc. are conducted in Melbourne, Victoria. (Dispatch 8 September – Pick up 14 October 2011)

Please note; there is no need to return it to Bunnings as they are the middle man in the scheme of things. Go directly to a Karcher representative if it fails you. Bunnings of course will exchange it within their own return policy time frame…

My usage;

For a base model pressure cleaner this little Karcher does my patio area 6 x 9mtr inside and out; floor, ceiling and roof. The driveway, house guttering and anything else that’s in my path… With bursts of 20 - 30 minute (as recommended) and intervals of 15+ minutes; I manage this project over a week-end to minimise overheating and excessive hand vibration.

As a recommendation to friends; I think it’s OK for small jobs and low users. When this one dies I’ll consider a heavy duty model again. Reason being; my jobs will always remain the same and need doing; therefore I may as well do it in half the time with a more efficient, durable Karcher model!? Better for small jobs... Warranty service is good & Karcher Reps are local
