Expensive Junk – I have the same problems as many other user with similar Karcher pressure washer models. It worked well for the first few months but then the plastic pump head split. Had it replaced and it worked for about 6 months then the same thing happened. There is obviously a design problem that none is willing to address. I am on my 3rd and last one now and will not buy Karcher products again. Very disappointed.

P.S. To their credit, Kaarcher have come back to me following my complaint and have suggested some things that might have been contributing to the failures (some of these things I was not doing, we will see how things go now I have rectified my ways). Their recommendations were:

• the length of the garden hose- Has to be at least 8m long to allow for back pressure once the trigger gun is released.

• using aqua stop fittings- Aqua stop fittings has a stop valve built into them, once they are disconnected from a male connector the water flow stops until re-connected, so once connected it restricts water flow to Karcher pumps, therefore starves pump of water.

• temperature of water- maximum water inlet temperature recommended for domestic pressure cleaners is 40 degrees, otherwise the polyfibre head will get soft, therefore stretch and crack, also in warmer months the garden hose heats up to extreme temperatures which gets sucked into pump, so running some cold water through hose before connecting is recommended

• length of time using the unit- roughly 30 min at a time and then let it cool down.

P.P.S Dec 2018. Since adopting the recommendations above I have had no problems with my Kaarcher.

Good – I was initially concerned about purchasing the Karcher after reading some poor reviews however have found this unit to be reliable and very capable. I have been using this unit for 6 months now and have no complaints with its performance. Good water pressure, have used to clean cars, patio, roof and other home type applications and this unit has performed well on all these tasks. Good high pressure hose length which is very convenient. Haven't found any yet.

Excellent – We have had this for about 2 years and it has exceeded our expectations, it cleans our entire verandah (concrete, about 40sq metres) about once a month, and my husband uses it to clean his tractors, quad bikes and cars quite often. It wasn't an expensive unit and we thought it would just get us through a few projects that we needed it for, but it just keeps going. Inexpensive, works well, we haven't ever had a problem with it. Nothing, it doesn't do huge jobs but we could have bought a bigger one and spent more money.

Had exactly the same problem as fatmat. Still in warranty, purchased Bunnings Lismore. No Invoice, no responsibility. Think I'll try a Gernie from a dealer not a hardware store.

Bunnings can retrace the docket using your credit card number. They did this for me in Darwin a few years back... surprisingly for the a similar thing.

This unit is temperamental, has one warranty repair after one major domestic use, cleaning outside home pavers.

Recently went to use again and seals leaking in both the spray power unit and within the casing.

Less than 3 years old.
