Paying subscription in the hope of watching live cricket but stupid kayo showing advertisements instead of live international test cricket. Don’t know what sort of muppets work at kayo. Absolutely worst
One of the worst Sports apps Australia has ever had, they keep raising their prices for a terrible product & should be ashamed of themselves as it progressively keeps getting worse.
I moved overseas and forgot to cancel my subscription. It has taken 12 months of emails, being region blocked from the website, managing to get on to the website at random times and being kicked off before I am able to complete the EXTENSIVE cancellation process. I hope the company is satisfied with the additional 12 months subscription charge… Read more
they have stolen from me as I will NEVER use this or any other Hubbl service again and will ensure to advise the same to everyone with whom I interact in the future.

When you try to fast forward, the app comes up with ridiculous ads, making it impossible to fast forward. I already pay $46 a month for limited sports and a poorly designed app. Why am I now getting brutalised with more ads at the loss of user experience!?
The quality particularly on replays is not worth watching, completely pixelled out. This is on NBN and at 500mps and 50upload
Rating: -10/10 (yes, that's a negative 10) – Kayo - The Sports Streaming Service That's a Total Knockout (of your sanity) I've seen better-designed websites on a fridge, and I've experienced less lag on a 56k modem. Kayo, the sports streaming service that promises to deliver all the action, but instead delivers a masterclass in frustration. Imagine paying top dollar for a service that… Read more
freezes more often than a cryogenics lab. You'll be lucky if you get to watch an entire match without the screen turning into a still image, taunting you with its unresponsiveness. It's like they took all the excitement of live sports and replaced it with the thrill of watching paint dry.
And don't even get me started on the buffering wheel of doom. It's like they're trying to hypnotize you into submission, "You will wait, you will wait, you will wait..." No, Kayo, I won't wait! I'll go watch the game at my mate's place, at least his TV doesn't think it's a Commodore 64.
But hey, who needs a smooth streaming experience when you can pay top dollar for the privilege of shouting at your screen in frustration? It's like they're charging us per grey hair.
To the developers at Kayo, I say: get your act together, or get out of the game. We're not paying for a service that's more unreliable than a weather forecast.
In conclusion, Kayo is the sports streaming equivalent of a participation trophy - it shows up, but that's about it. Sort it out, Kayo, or we'll be forced to find our sports fix elsewhere.
P.S. If anyone from Kayo is reading this, please, for the love of all things good, optimize your service. My blood pressure (and my sanity) depend on it.
TERRIBLE service, No care – I don’t want to give you any stars but I have to. The streaming service is TERRIBLE! I can’t type what I really want to say in fear of censorship. The worse thing is, it seems the company / provider doesn’t care. Look at all the negative reviews. Again, your service is terrible. Before you say it’s my home internet. I call nonsense. I can watch Stan, Fox, YouTube and there’s no problem. Show details
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, All but unwatchable – I can watch Any other streaming service with not 1 stop but on kayo I try and watch an NFL game even on replay not necessarily live and every 30 seconds it stops and has to have a rest break to catch up. Makes this streaming service all but unwatchable, Recomend to anyone looking at this to not get kayo it is not worth the frustration or anywhere… Read more
near the massive price they charge for it.
I agree with most other reviews if I could give it 0 stars I would.
Impossible to rate this Absolute rubbish. One half of football I counted 15 drop outs. Just watching 360 and it completely stopped and jumped to the next program before we'd finished watching it. It's happened so many times. Same thing with F1. Watching footy on the ABC and no drop outs, same internet connection. What a joke... they say clearly… Read more
"watch every game live without ad breaks"... yet it drops out consistently and the quality of picture makes it impossible to watch...what's even worse is they're getting away with it. Why have they not been investigated by the ACCC for selling a product that doesn't meet the purpose they clearly advertise????
Scum bags, way over priced. They never make it easy to subscribe using coupons or vouchers and make it had to cancel....
Kayo app's behaviour when pausing live sport is completely unacceptable. Instead of freezing the current frame like every other competent streaming platform, their app cuts to a black screen. This makes it impossible to see the game, players, or any on-field context while paused — which defeats the entire purpose of pausing live sport. This is… Read more
not a minor inconvenience. It is a fundamental failure in basic functionality.
How has this made it through development and into a paid product? Do their teams actually use the app the way customers do? Sports fans pause to analyse plays, check players, or simply step away briefly without losing visual context. Your current design ignores all of that.
To make matters worse, this comes while prices continue to increase, yet the app quality remains substandard compared to every other major streaming service.
Fix this. At a minimum:
- Pausing should retain the live frame on screen - The black screen behaviour should be removed entirely - Provide a timeline for when this will be corrected
Right now, the product does not meet basic expectations for a premium service.
Cuts out every 10 minutes. Absolutely terrible service, a joke.

If I could leave a 0 star for customer service I would. After going on their website and thinking I was signing up on the offer of $1 for 1 month for a premium subscription, I was advised that I signed up for a 7 day free trial and was charged $45.99 a week later. After emails and screenshots of what I thought I signed up to, went back and forth,… Read more
the only response I got was to cancel my subscription. (I only wanted my extra 3 weeks free that was on offer). I am a pensioner and not internet savy so thought I was doing the right thing when I was on their website page with this offer. I contacted them straight away on the day they charged me with my explanation, hoping they would understand. Boy was I wrong, no understanding, compassion or empathy what so ever. I can only assume that I was speaking with AI as the customer service people had no understanding or intention of solving this misunderstanding at all. So thank you Kayo for your heartfelt customer service… NOT!
Watching on the computer it’s fully pixilated and I can’t see anything. On mobile phone it works perfectly. was only purchased for this reason and the first time I use it it doesn’t work. 0/5.
It is a scam. They charge you more by misleading and than you have no one to talk to. Please stay away from these scammers
No spoilers has spoilers! Terrible service if you’re watching a replay. If you leave and return it always starts from the start no matter where you got up to. If you try and fast forward it often comes up with an error and jumps back to the start. This happens on all my TV apps. What’s worse, Went to watch a basketball game in replay have it… Read more
set to no spoilers but the banner that you select to watch the game has the final-score at the top see picture.
I only have a sign up for honeymoon and discounted deals and cancel as soon as my sporting season is over would gladly find a dodgy way to watch the sports or pay for another way anything but stream motion and Kayo.
So sick of paying for such a nonsense service, week in, week out, just to watch AFL. There needs to be a class action, as it's so bad. You can't honestly think you can keep charging people when you can't provide what you advertise. Constantly given "playback is u available right now, please try again shortly." This is every time we try to watch!
Middle of the club World Cup during gameplay and all I’m getting is ads Wth is this

Double charged tried to get someone to call me , unfortunately they aren’t set up for that ,obviously way too hard for them to have a phone system ? So after a couple hours on the phone typing messages, backwards and forwards,it was just easy to cancel that this subscription.very poor service
Follow-up · No resolution they didn’t really care I just canceled it
New adverts during play such as replays. Also a lovely add even when you pause. Kayo/Fox are just greedy charging $46.99 a month and then taking adverts DURING PLAY. If I could get it somewhere else I would pay more, but they are simply… Read more
greedy....money, money money. PARASITES.
Oh and why can I see scores from other games? I have spoiler alert off to prevent seeing scores, but you guessed it, that doesnt count.
KAYO:- Look at your rating you rip off artists and support those that HAVE TO support you. Ch7 is looking attactive or illegal sources.
Follow-up · Yes, they are sneaking them in the ticker section of the screen while live play. Adds appear about every 10 minutes. Yes they interupt my viewing pleasure.
Piece of trash service that has the audacity to charge customers $45 pm and constantly buffer freeze and load perpetually. I hate you kayo
Follow-up · It’s still very trash and I use my dads login now so I don’t have to pay for this trash

KAYO SPORTS IS GREAT FOR SPORT NUTS, "ONLY" – I just gave another Product Review for streaming services of a different company. I will practically say the same for Kayo Sports. I'm only a sports nut of a number of sports. The tabs for a number of sports, and shows. And your "REPLAYS" line for your sport is GREAT to remind yourself alot easier, if you missed the "LIVE" telecast. Like I said… Read more
earlier, "I'm a sports nut". I used to have FOXTEL. But with the cost of living nowadays, especially in 2024 and onwards. I got rid of Foxtel and subscribed to KAYO SPORTS. KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK YOU DO.
Much better consistency in program delivery – Update: July 2025 - because I love to watch the Suncorp Super Netball series and I'm not prepared to pay for Foxtel, I rejoined with Kayo and I am pleasantly surprised that there is way less buffering than there used to be, I can now watch the Suncorp Super Netball games without a glitch - there is the occasional issue but nothing like it was when… Read more
I wrote my review last year. This is definitely an improvement on what was occurring. The downside to Kayo is they've now upped their monthly subscription costs for one screen ($30 per month) and if you want to watch on two screens, it's an additional $20, so it stays at 1 screen and my housemate and I negotiate which sports are watched live and which are watched at a later time. It is not worth the additional $20 per month.
Previous review: Pathetic streaming, continuous buffering, funnily enough it happens rarely during ad breaks, but consistently during games. If the buffering is not an issue, then you're watching it pixelated, thought it might have been my area, but it happens to a number of people I know. Ridiculous when paying this kind of money just to be able to watch sport I love.
No major issues – Does as described, used it to get rid of Fox, as sport was the only thing I watched on fox, the TV app, AppleTV app & phone app isn’t the greatest with the menus being frustrating but it does the job. I’ve had matches drop out however if I go to the live channel feed, it seems to be far more stable. Plus by watching the live channel instead of the… Read more
events stream, it’s more of a seamless product for pre & post game, also means for the footy, I can just stream Fox Footy all day on Saturday or Sunday and get all the matches. Picture in Picture or side by side would be a great feature in the future.
Negative reviews
Been a subscriber, mainly for NRL, since the demise of Foxtel. This year, 2026, the glitches in the app were too much. I'm feeling sooo good that I'm now saving $550 a year and not wasting my time listening to second rate journalists trying to create a new beat up every week.
Terrible service. 10 days of poor picture quality emailed them and send them proof for picture quality. They said sorry and then cancelled my subscription before 1 week. When asked about compensation, nothing was done. Never again am I going through them.
Not good at all all three games of footy watched this weekend it just cuts out every single time with less than 2 minutes to go this is not on and I dont recommend kayo at all .Do Better for your subscribers !

Don’t use this service. They incorrectly charge and don’t offer refunds in any situation. And the app always buffers on live sport so your always minutes behind, even on the highest speed internet available. Customer service is rubbish also.
Absolute rip-off for an atrocious service that offers very little additional features. Video quality is extremely poor also together with occasional drop outs. Hate all the advertisements
