I bought this K16261 today from Supercheap. Before buying I checked and compared the PSI pressure of that one with my 2 other pressure cleaners (which do still work): Gerni Classic 115.2: max. pressure 1668 PSI Karcher Winner 10: max. pressure 4000 PSI Apparently, those numbers do not account for much, as I would say that my 2 old pressure… Read more

cleaners do have about the same pressure output. When I saw that the Kincrome K16261 has 1740 PSI "allowable pressure", which I have to interpreted as "max. pressure" (confirmed: Kincrome calls it 1740psi max pressure on their web site), I was expecting about the same as my other 2 pressure cleaners. I was however very much confused in the shop by the additional info of rated pressure 1160 PSI printed on the box as well, of which I could not make any sense, and obviously there is no way in the shop to test the pressure cleaner... I have tested the K16261 now, and was quite disappointed - both my other pressure cleaners are way more powerful. Actually the K16261 is only a little bit better than a high quality non-powered metal-nozzle, which I have for my garden-hose... However, the K16261 outputs an even spray (-pattern) and currently I am thinking of keeping it because: 1.) It might actually be better, if I do not "shoot" high powered water beams onto the paint of my cars. 2.) I do not know, if it would be easily possible to swap the K16261 for the K16262, which is a Kincrome pressure cleaner, which officially has the "label" 1958 PSI, where the K16261 has the "label" 1740 PSI, whatever it is that those numbers are supposed to stand for (certainly for something else as on a Gerni pressure cleaner). Thus, a little bit more of expected "umpf" (12.5% more), for an extra $65 (as long as they are both on special ($135 vs $200). I'd actually recommend to have the K16261 discontinued and to sell the K16262 only, but for a lower price...

Update: Supercheap made it easy to swap this K16261 over for the bigger K16262, thus I paid for the price difference and I am happy now with the bigger K16262.

I attached a picture of the different results when cleaning my driveway with the 2 different models.
