Do not buy kings recliners. Our king cloud 3 is 5 years old. We need a new motor controller. They have stopped making spare parts for it. So now it's a dud. Will never buy from kings futniture again. Constantly had to reset etc.
After sale service is a joke – We bought our king cloud V in Sept. 2023, the footrest fail after 3 months. Last updated given by King living was in Dec 26th, 2023., followed up again on the 8th Jan 2024,no update. After sale is non existence!! Shocking!! 30/1/2024 After multiple communications with AJ, our case finally got looked at. Thanks AJ. Now we are just waiting for… Read more · 1

6/2/2024 Technician came out today and replace the control module, all fix within 30 mins. Thanks AJ for organizing this to occur so quickly, this really take the stress out from us. Rating upgrade to 4 stars because of your attentiveness.
Don't buy from King – Have had a King Cloud V for 2 years. In that time it's had to be completely rebuilt, and now for a 3rd time the bases have collapsed. King doesn't respond to contact made and even their repairer couldn't believe the bad quality of these sofas. I'm having to escalate this to small claims court to recieve a refund under Australian consumer laws in… Read more

Brand new Cloud V and disappointed – An update of my review King Furniture have been exemplary in their handling of my complaint. I have received a replacement lounge. I was given the option of selecting a lounge to the same value and we chose to replace with the Jasper Lounge. We are extremely happy. It is with great regret that I’m writing this negative review for the King… Read more
Cloud V - their newest recliner. We have had Leather King couches before and been very happy with the quality of the product, and the way it stood the test of time and because of this we did not balk at the cost of these couches. The experience in the showroom was wonderful and the couch suited all of our needs. Unfortunately the couch that arrived has flaws that frankly we never could’ve anticipated from a King living couch. Having purchased a three seater recliner model and having it professionally installed and then to see that the stitching and joinery is glaringly irregular and unmatched, and the recliner leg extension has a design fault which is unsightly and grossly uncomfortable was a shock. To be clear there are only two of us living in the house and we’ve only had it for six months. King communicated with us through a pop up on Product Review as we were about to lodge our review back in June, 2 months after purchase. King arranged to send out a Furniture and Upholsterer as their representative. The representative advised us that King were aware of the design fault on the leg extension but have not had a "fix" from their designers. The representative was aware of multiple customers being affected by this fault and waiting for rectification. Is it not unacceptable to sell a lounge that you know has this problem??? The recommendation given to alleviate the irregular stitching and joinery was some "adjustment" ie pulling and tugging into shape after each use. This was a half hour job by the representative! Two requests to fix these issues have been forwarded to King. King's response to our first request was that they have ordered replacement leg extensions and that all other issues had been addressed when in fact they had not. One month after our second request we have yet to receive a reply. I highly doubt that we will receive one. I am sharing pictures that speak for themselves. This lounge is a shocker!

Worth the wait - love this couch – This is the best couch I've ever owned. Yes - there is a wait, due to COVID. But this is the same for every furniture company. It was very worth it. I needed support to fix a few minor issues, and the support team was extremely helpful. Big props to Elliot who was the salesperson who assisted me with this. Show details

Major design flaw – I love these sofas. They are comfortable and stylish. Quality is good for the seat and fabric. Unfortunately the sofa is plagued by a major design flaw. The touch controls on the sofas and hidden away on the right side of the actual seat. The mechanism used to attach the touch sensitive buttons are incredibly fragile. If you look at my attached… Read more
photos, these buttons are clipped onto the other side of the touch button. They are delicate and can be snapped very easily. If you have the spare part from king; it’s very easy to fix yourself. I asked the technician how it was done and he gave me some spares.
Steps.
1) isolate broken sofa. 2) turn off power 3) undo the Velcro holding the seat covering near the touch caps 4) underneath should be the touch unit and a pink foam 5) undo the buttons from the touch cap 6) disconnect the touch unit from the seat. You’ll need to reach around and inside. Follow cable. 7) connect the new unit. Attach the buttons to the touch caps. 8) reattach Velcro for seat covering
Not very good but other option is waiting for king to service it.

Not built to last – Unfortuneatly I bought a King Cloud III in 2017, for around $5500.00 Since then, the couches have had several issues and have need 4 callouts to fix with issues still persisting. King customer service is lack lustre at best and issues can take months to resolve. These don't last, save your money until they can improve the quality of their products. @King happy to accept a refund or replacement on the couches if you can fix the issue. Show details

Quality poor and Customer Service not existent – Purchased King Cloud III sofa late October 2020. The electrics broke down in December and we are still waiting to have this repaired 3 months later. Don’t get what you pay for – We bought King cloud 3 less than 12 months ago. We loved it in showroom and disappointed when we received it 6 months after order. Disappointed from go to woe from installation, to follow up service and to continually having issues with electric reclining mechanisms. Do not recommend this product to anyone you are better off at Amart ! Show details

Should have gone to Amart – We bought the king cloud III late last year and have been nothing but disappointed. For a lounge that cost so much you'd really expect a higher quality. The centre console, nor the side tables don't sit flat, they bragged about their charging tables that can barely charge my phone overnight.... The stitching is nowhere near even, the memory… Read more
positions just stop working (no loss of power required), the head rest gets stuck upright consistently on recline, the foot rest gets caught on non existent obstructions, yes we have carpet but the lounge was professionally installed. It has taken forever to get a response from king. For a premium store and product the whole experience has been absolutely horrendous.

Big on style - Short on substance – The couch is designed for very short people. The recliner has no extension on the foot rest which results in it only providing support to the top half your lower leg. This results in your feet dangling with no support which quickly becomes uncomfortable. We had to place another foot stool at the end of the recliner which given the high price is not acceptable. While the lounge looks and feels great it is not practical or comfortable.

Lovely, but flawed – My partner and I fell in love with the King Cloud III as soon as we sat on it in the showroom. It was by far the most comfortable sofa that we found when we were searching. fabric before the sofa is constructed. The other thing we liked is that the power cables are very well concealed (others we looked at had the cables sticking out at the back). The ownership experience has been strange. The sofa has lived up to its comfort level, however there are a few design flaws. As these sofas are modular they build the seat with the controls always on the right hand side. This means that when the pieces are joined together, there is a set of controls running down the centre between the left and right seats. Having the controls here means that they are frequently activated by accident when you are sharing the sofa with others or if you are sitting on the edge of a seat or even if you lay across it - causing your headrest and leg-rest to move up or down without you wanting it to... extremely annoying when you have the sofa in a position that you are so comfortable with. The other issue we have is also due to it being modular. The main sofa sections are kept together with two plastic brackets that clip to the frame under the sofa - for some reason these brackets unclip by themselves and you find yourself with sofa sections that start sliding apart... Our 2.5 seater sofa often ends up as two separate 1.25 seaters :(. Another issue that frequently occurs is due to the sensitive sensors that are under the sofa to prevent it from retracting when there is an obstruction. More often than I'd like the sensors think that there is an obstruction and they prevent this sofa from retracting. For a sofa of this price I would never have expected to be on my hands and knees putting it back together so often and trying to clear obstructions which are not present. It's stylish and comfortable but frustrating to live with.

Know better, choose better.
Cloud = hell – Do NOT buy this couch . Our couch is 1 year old ;the upholstery has just collapsed , the seat , back and leg rest are now like a wrinkled prune . It is uncomfortable and ergonomically badly designed . The basic structure is inferior, the electrics are difficult to access , are jerky, chunky and other buyers have had disaster experiences with their… Read more
purchases- repeatedly breaking down and not so great responses by King Living. The leather is reasonable but the upholstery is a disaster , feels like a 10 year old purchase from a cheap second hand op shop. Had an assessor visit 2 days ago and ... reluctantly said he would suggest replacing the defective components. I have thought about it and have decided it’s unacceptable. Paid >10k for this couch to give me ‘ cloud bliss’ for the next 10 yrs , instead , I got a piece of rubbish which has exacerbated my back ache , not helped . Waste of money - please , do not buy it , I have found better products for half the price

Good after sales service to resolve my issues – This began as a negative review as I wasn't happy with the padding in the seats of my sofa and chair. But before posting the review a popup invited me to give King Living the opportunity to mediate and see if they could resolve my issues. I thought this was only fair and so I agreed to that process and I am mostly happy with the results. I do… Read more · 1
still have one reservation though about this particular product.
I bought a King Cloud III 2.5 seater and separate armchair in premium leather. Within a few days of sitting in my preferred seat I could feel the mechanism under the seat padding starting to poke into me (not piercing the leather, just that I could feel the hard bits underneath the seats). As others have said, it's nowhere near as comfortable as I remember the showroom model being - that really was like sitting and reclining on a cloud. There were also some issues with the mechanism being clunky. I am very happy with the quality of the leather and stitching, and the attached side tables.
After submitting the review for mediation by King they contacted me and sent out an upholsterer to take a look at the seat padding issues. They then made new thicker foam inserts for the seats and returned to fit them into the sofa. The new seat padding is much more firm than the original thinner padding, which was softer. I can no longer feel the mechanism under the seats - so that issue is resolved. The new firmness does give me confidence that the furniture will last a long time, but it's not really "cloud like." I think they've done everything they could to resolve the issue caused by the thin seat padding, at no cost to me.
My one remaining reservation is that I find the design of the seating is actually not that comfortable for long periods of time, e.g. when watching TV. I find myself getting restless, not able to find a comfy position for very long and I usually end up bringing the seat back up to the upright position. And even that's not great for me as the seats are very deep and my legs are not very long so I need cushions behind me to get my feet to the floor when sitting upright. I think it would be better if the reclining action allowed your legs to stretch out flat instead of being raised up at the knee. For that reason, I wish I had bought a stationary chaise instead of the moving sofa. I feel that would be more comfortable than the odd angle when the sofa is fully reclined.
I can't fault the quality of the leather and workmanship (once the seat padding issue was sorted), nor their efforts to fix my issues. But I think I made the wrong choice for my own comfort. However, I would buy from them again as the quality does live up to the image.
We love the couch, its leather, colour and comfort – Very comfortable and the tilt mechanism adjusts well to our individual needs. Laurel colour is beautiful and matched the sop swathe. Works well with our bamboo floors. Sometimes the two sections come unhitched and we reattach them. The memory settings don't always work. Show details
Loving the King Cloud III in Fabric – So far so good . We were extremely happy with the customer service and also really happy so far with the quality of the King Cloud. It’s so very comfortable to sit on and recline. It’s the most expensive lounge we have purchased. I do believe it is overpriced especially after ordering knowing it comes from China was a disappointment. Seeing all… Read more
the negative reviews is a bit concerning especially because we hope to get a jasper in the near future.. However we really cannot complain at this stage. It’s been about 7 months that we have had it and everyone that has sat on it absolutely loves how comfortable it ..Initially wanted leather but the price was just too much but surprisingly love the fabric. Castle Hill was where we purchased it and their service was great.
The Worst Quality - Major Mechanical Failures - King Cloud 11 – Firstly we purchased just over a year ago 2018.....the King Cloud single leather reclining armchair, the jasper new style sofa (with wooden side shelves and charging table) coffee table, large ottoman and a king size bed. All of these were astronomically expensive and theres not 1 piece we think is worth the price tag, in fact the quality of… Read more
everything is so inferior, we now regret not having a more thorough look at what is out there in the market, I was too consumed with their 50% tv advertising and am so regretting these purchases! I think Freedom furniture is superior, probably half the price, Early Settler also has beautiful styles and quality, now I realise there is so much better out there.... so this review is for those thinking of purchasing from King Living, look around.... they look the part, but certainly do not stand the test of time!
1) Our king cloud leather reclining armchair, has had 3 major mechanical failures, approximately 4 months apart, the headrest just stops! We have had the technician out 3 times(twice organised by king living customer service, who were rude to deal with and once by the technician himself, as I had called his no. by mistake and he just came immediately) The same technician did a major overhaul each time. I complained to King asking for a refund, due to a MAJOR faulty product and had I known that this armchair was faulty, I would never have purchased, but they declined, so hence why Im doing this review in hope that you do not make the same purchase blunder as I did! In fact I would compare the quality/comfort of there products to Amart Furniture Australia. King products look the part, but sadly decline in quality and comfort. Even when you look at King Living products for sale second hand, for their age they look appalling! This chair was bought for my husband who is 6 ft 3 and he could never get comfortable in it, he was too tall for it. Anything mechanical I would not touch!
2) He no longer uses the recliner and is now sitting on the jasper sofa on the chaise part and in just over a month, the area where he has been sitting has sagged so badly, you cannot even bash it back into shape, the filling just seems so inferior, I can literally lift the fabric up from the sofa its so loose..... now when we went into King which was quite often, not once did we see any sagging on the sofas on the floor, which is one thing that annoys the hell out of me and again I would never have purchased had I seen this. Also, worth a mention these are made in China, with 3 months or more wait period and delivered direct to your door..... why is my fabric excessively sagging and the showroom models were fine (and they have thousands of customers sitting on them!) and it has only been my husband sitting on the chaise (and a chihuahua!).....who knows what the manufacturer in China is using as filling! The back cushions lose shape quickly and need to be constantly BASHED (not lightly fluffed up) into shape, which I find annoying!
3) The large ottoman which our chihuahua sits on, the fabric has rubbed, not just on the top, but also on the sides, once again when you are paying top dollar, you do not expect this to occur!
4) I bought a large triangle walnut coffee table, but regret getting this shape, next time would just do circular.
5) the king size bed which we have in our self contained unit, was so astronomical in price, I would never purchase this product again, but would go to Forty Winks, they have amazing quality beds, half the price of King and the customer service is second to none, they believe in happy customers....unlike King Living!!!
King Living really have to lift their quality and comfort to match their exorbitant pricing and if the product is continually faulty man up and refund as I had requested! Who has time to wait around organising times for the technician to visit, this is just darn right rediculous and frustrating! Will never be purchasing from King Living again, sadly they just do not know how to look after potential customers!

Major disappointment. Sub-standard to say the least – We received delivery of our 2 x 2.5 seater King Could III lounges late 2018. This was bought as a show piece for the main living room and was only to be used when we have guests as we have a secondary family room. We had bought a fabric lounge from King for our family room which is used daily that we are very happy with. We were so excited… Read more
about the King Cloud III. This lounge was sold to us as the Rolls Royce of all lounges. We were told the true touch leather is the same leather that is used in Mercedes Benz and Audi vehicles. A huge selling point. Based on the all information provided to us when we purchased the lounge and the price tag, we were expecting a very high quality lounge. I cannot emphasis how disappointed we are with the King Cloud III. I am left to believe there is no quality control what-so-ever. Problems starting appearing within the first 2 months and have not stopped since. Sub-standard for a lounge which has been barely sat on. Initially we thought all the chrome parts were tarnished and corroding. A tech man came out fairly quickly and thankfully it turned out that is was glue that was never wiped off properly. He also checked the lounges as they were not aligning next to each other properly. He told us that the cushions need to be fluffed up from time to time. A couple of months further down the track, it turns out that is not the case. Both seats got stuck in the reclined position. A tech man came out again and checked them. He said the lounges were not aligning next to each other as the guys who installed them didn't do it properly and that the tracks had buckled. He managed to get them back into their normal position and advised he needed to order new parts which would take up to 8 weeks to come in. We waited nearly 12 weeks before ringing King as we didn't want to sound like we were over the top customers. We finally called King for update only to find out that they did not know about the parts to be ordered and they had the status as all fixed in their system. For 3 months plus, we have not allowed anyone to sit on the lounges in fear of doing any damage to them. Another tech is due to come out soon to finally replace all necessary parts. In the meantime, we have discovered the leather is delaminating in various places. How can this be!!! This lounge is 8 mths old and hardly been used as it has been waiting for repairs more often than not. The leather is suppose to be the same top quality leather as used in Mercedes and Audi's. I cannot imagine this happening to those cars and most cars are in sunlight all day. From reading other reviews, I can see distinct similarity of faults with this lounge. It is not good enough for an allegedly high quality expensive lounge and a high profile company. I have never in my life written a bad review regardless of some bad experiences with products along the way, but the King Cloud III experience has seriously left me no other option. I do believe in fairness, and as such, I cannot fault the design and comfort of the lounge. Nor can I complain about other pieces of furniture we bought from King. I also, cannot complain about the customer service as the staff have dealt with all the issues quickly. The problem is, this lounge should not have these issues and especially this early in the piece. There were other errors made but they did not impact on the quality. Just the wrong item delivered which I understand can happen. I may as well bought a budget lounge from a budget place. What can go wrong, has gone wrong. Think twice before you buy.

$10,000 recliner sofa that doesn't recline! – When we bought the 3-seater King Cloud sofa in Brisbane around 4 years ago, we were all incredibly excited. It was the most expensive sofa we bought and we were given such high expectations by the sales person. The leather started de-laminating on one of the seats after two years. To be fair they replaced the sofa seat pad promptly. However,… Read more
the other two seats are now also de-laminating. The worst problem however is that the recliner wiring has completely failed and two of the three recliners no longer work. The wiring is poorly designed and of a cheap quality. Only one of the 3 seats actually works now. One seat is stuck with the backrest permanently down while the other are up. Most of the cost presumably went into the recliner mechanism. Basically we have paid Rolls Royce prices for a Hyundai (except without the unlimited warranty and servicing)! Whilst the marketing is all about the Australian design, it is basically just an unreliable China-made product with a made in Australia price-tag.
I have written to King Living to repair the wiring. The electrics only have a 12 month warranty so I hope iot does not cost a fortune to repair.
