Don’t waste your money … – I brought this toaster and used it for 8 months and it blew my circuit breaker OMG !!! It also got stuck and couldn’t get my toast out. I rang Kitchen aid and unfortunately because I had it stored thought it would be all ok as it was $289 toaster and it was a kitchen aid wouldn’t have a problem ….boy was I wrong … house unfortunately took… Read more
longer to build COVID I rang David Jones not interested as it was out of warranty told me to ring Kitchen Aid were not interested either warranty expired in December 2021. Don’t bother!!!! waste of money !!!! Think I will stick with Kmart $20 toaster
Faultless toaster that looks and feels a cut above – The toaster is finished nicely and has a button activated toast lowering function. After the cycle is complete us rises in the same slow and smooth way after which it proceeds to beep a short note to let you know. While it's toasting a blue LCD screen shows you a countdown bar. Apart from the above-mentioned party trick it has a crumpet and a keep… Read more
warm feature. [Edit: It's now been many months with the only hiccup being that very rarely irregular shaped bread doesn't eject. Sometimes it catches and then goes down again. The way to stop it is to power the toaster off and pull out the bread].
Having said all that, the main why buy to justify the extra cost over a $30, a $90 or a $120 toaster is a nicer smoother more premium look and feel. It is expensive and feels several notches above a lower tier toaster. It fits well with other nice gadgets. If that's important to you buy it. You'll feel the inner glow that top quality gives you.
If you pass this by you'll be safe in the knowledge that all you are missing is the non functional stuff that's a nice to have but not a must have and the extra cash remaining in your pocket could help you get over buyer's remorse.
A reliable toaster but pricey for what it is – We've had this toaster now for around 4 years and it's never missed a beat. Positives are that it toasts quite evenly, though for me only the higher settings are useful. I still find it interesting that the toast lowers slowly into the toaster and then raises automatically at the end. This toaster will handle fairly thick bread and crumpets, and… Read more
has settings for frozen etc. If you have a modern kitchen the red colour might suit your taste. The negatives of this toaster are the long toasting time, I feel this toaster is pretty slow to brown your bread, and worst of all is the very loud beep when the toast is done. I hate this feature and wish there was some way to switch it off. I'm usually the first person up in our house and the loud beep is unwelcome at 6:30am. All in all it's been a reliable toaster, if you can live with the beep!
this isnt a great toaster but does an average job – I like to eat whole grain dense bread such as vogels and find this as with most toasters cant toast it in one go, have to re toast it. I was told this was a great toaster but its elements have got more patchy as it gets older and it toasts very unevenly after 3 years. I expect longer and better quality from a top end brand Show details
Worst toaster ever! – Takes far too long to toast compared to much cheaper toasters I’ve used. Maximum setting is not long enough. Patchy toasting as the elements operate unevenly. Toast too low to collect. End up having to use a fork so I don’t burn my fingers! Show details
Kitchen Aid 4 slice Toaster – Nothing very special about this toaster. It is overly large compared to the majority of toasters on the market, so storage will be a concern. The display stays on far too long after completion of toasting which equates to energy wastage. The audible beep at the completion of toasting is just a tad too loud - I am comparing it to the Kitchen Aid… Read more
kettle, that is much quieter. Timing knob controls are 'sloppy' to the touch - maybe require a better 'snap-to-time' feel. This toaster just says... Made in China... without a lot of Kitchen Aid quality control being present. The User Manual details 'Care and Cleaning' but in a limited manner. It states... 'For detailed information on cleaning the toaster visit our website. Why the heck even print a manual (paper wastage) when you are asking users to go to a website.
