Badly designed & slow – Bought this toaster hoping for a quality unit but disappointed. We've been battling for 2 weeks to find a setting that toasts properly. One press down on darkest setting doesn't cook the sourdough. Doing it twice is too much. Tried variations & ended up with - 1st press on darkest with defrost button pressed, 2nd press on lightest setting. Hard to keep the darkness lever in the same position in the mid range because the up/down lever is small & the darkness setting is a great big flat lever which inevitably gets moved by mistake. Very bad design. May go back to a $14 Coles special.

Purchased in at KitchenAid for $140.

Good Looks - Slow to Toast – It is the prettiest toaster we have ever owned. It colour matches our Kitchenaid kettle. But I’m getting rid of it for 2 reasons: It is only 900w, that means it takes a LONG time to toast a slice of bread. If you have a lot of toast to make, your breakfast gets cold, while you wait for the toast. The other annoying design feature is the flat push down knob doesn’t push down the toast, it adjusts the darkness (instead of the round selector looking knob). I’m buying a 1600w toaster to replace it.
