Anko kettle not safety – This kettle turns it's own without touching it. This happened twice. This time l threw it out in bin case catch on fire.
My Anko 1.7 L kettle is a dud – The Anko 1.7L stainless steel kettle is cheap so I thought it was worth the risk of a purchase. It had a fault where the lid wont open while the kettle was hot or worn so we have to wait for it to cool down. I took a small video on my phone and took it back to the store (Kmart Maddington) and showed them the video. They said they couldn't refund… Read more
or replace it without the receipt (my fault I didn't keep it), although I did purchase it with a bankcard so I can technically prove the purchase. The kettle has over the past 12 months has developed a loud noise when running so we no longer use it as the sound drowns out the television and we cannot hear each other talking (I am not joking). I have taken the kettle from our caravan to use and I'm studying the reviews on kettles so I can make a better choice next time. I would purchase a better brand kettle from Kmart or any other store that sells the brand I choose, so there is no hard feelings towards the store. It is my opinion though, that the Kmart Anko 1.7L cordless kettle I purchased, is a dud. This is based on approximately half of the other reviews posted where it shows that some are happy with the product and some are not. Sort of hit and miss with this kettle.

Works as a kettle should – This kettle is a bargain for the price, boils water without an issue. I have had this kettle for over three years and it is still boiling water on demand.
You Get What You Pay For – Bought this Kettle at Kmart Shellharbour. Very flimsy on/off button which I don't think will last long. Constantly sticks to the Cordless charger so when you pick it up to pour hot water the charger comes with it then usually drops back to the counter. Doesn't matter how careful you are. Still for $7.00 I'll put up with it till it packs it in.
Kmart Homemaker Kettle – Purchased this kettle out of an impulse purchase because hubby was sick of being whistled at by the stove kettle. My hubby will have the occassional coffee but we are not regular tea/coffee drinkers and don't use our kettle often. So it surprised me when it didn't last a whole year. I suppose you get what you pay for and this was about a $1 to… Read more
run each month we had it. The taste of the water was fine, water level was easy to determine. It heated fairly quickly when it worked and it doesn't get dangerously hot.
Excellent – For those who simply want to warm the water for a coffee, a tea is an excellent solution, because this kettle is simple to handle, fast and practical because it disarms if the water gets too hot. Show details
Less than 12 months and mine is faulty – It boiled water in a reasonable amount of time, for that it gets a star. It hasn't been 12 months and it has already started to malfunction, not turning on when the switch is turned to on, a sensible amount of water, and yes it was turned on at the power point, turned it off and on again and it worked but now hasn't worked again, the light flicks… Read more
on for a few seconds but then goes off while the switch is still down, I have unplugged it as I don't think it is safe to continue using. I do not recommend this kettle.
Great value for money – Kmart $7.50 kettle its great value for money, i was a bit unsure at the beggining but i bought one anyway. That was about 4 years ago which cost me only $7.00 and it lasted that long. Now its gone up in price but i believe its worth buying it. I bought my second one a few weeks ago. Show details
