Used at our rarely used beach house and after 2 years of little use the handle split at the top, lifting up for about 7-8cm along the handle. So bad the kettle needed replacing. I have now avoided kettles with this handle design although some have a ring around the handle at the top end which may help.
As pictured, element is not coil bottom, when pouring after boil it makes a kish noise the element is up the side, to clean it I can't fit the dish brush when scale builds up refer ruler measurement in the photo, the lid is button release on the handle, short cord attached to base, flick switch boil blue light, warning stickers, it's a no from me 1800w per boil.
