L'Oreal Excellence Crème

I've used this product previously and have always been happy with it. I recently coloured my hair again with this product and it turned out JET BLACK and my hair is dry. I won't be buying again.

Want to give 3.5 stars – I have black hair that is very difficult to dye. I therefore had low expectations. My main reason for choosing this dark golden brown was to colour some white hair and to get a hint of colour all over my hair.

No longer covers grey hair 100% as it says – There must be a change. It no longer covers my grey hair as well as it once did. The info on the bottles looks as though it is written in Russian?The shampoo and conditioner is fabulous. But I use it to cover my grey hair effectively and it now doesn’t. The best hair coloring ever ! – I have been using this color for more than 20 years. Its just perfect. It is not converting good hair into grey. It is really good and not spreading into the skin if you use it properly. But I dont use the conditioner comes in the box because I found I get a headache when I apply it. I had been using this product for 20 or more years & used to love it. THEN THEY CHANGED THE FORMULA & NOW ITS TERRIBLE!!! It doesn't mix now matter how hard or how long you shake the bottle its hard to apply. brands until you change it back to the original formula. I don't know why you changed it in the first place? Are you not reading your reviews? Do you not run testing with you end users? I'm very disappointed.

I have used L'Oreal Excellence Creme for many many years and I am so disappointed with the colour when I do my hair. The colour fades within 2-3 weeks. I don't know what O'Loreal has done to the formula - maybe by adding Hylalluronic Acid it has changed it and it doesn't cover the greys!! Im going to try a different product and hopefully I will find one that lasts longer, cover greys and one that I am completely happy with. NOT HAPPY JAN!!!! Show details

I wrote a review a year or so ago when the formula changed. It didn’t colour my hair. I tried it again recently and this time instead of the number 5 brown it turned out jet black!! This hair dye when put on my hair turned black. The results after it washed out is not Ash Light Blonde the colour is absolutely horrible. Will not put the second lot in my hair because I have short hair it's going in the rubbish. Wouldn't recommend this 9-1 dye. Show details

I've used this product for years and loved the results but now the formulation and texture of the lotion is different. Very thick and globular so almost impossible to apply from the container - especially if roots are being coloured first. Accordingly, the overall result is patchy and application is very frustrating. I’ve been using the same 7.3 for years and it was great .. until the new formula. Please, return the previous one!!!! The “improved” cream becomes disgusting dirty green after mixing the ingredients, the feeling on the skin is unpleasant, and the colour is not as expected. It’s a total disaster!!!

more orange that it used to be - it is turning my greys orange now instead of dark brown. However by far the worst change is that my hair seems to be thinning. My scalp feels warm and tingly when I’m using the product and then for a few days after. I have noticed I can see more of my scalp under certain lighting and I’m sure it’s due to this new formula. I will be changing brands, which I am sad about because I loved this colour, the shampoo and the comb nozzle that not many other brands seem to have.

go-to a salon to dye my hair today. Left it on for a minimum of 45 minutes after I totally applied the product, so it wasn't that. It should not be marketed for 100% gray coverage. Ugh! I am so upset right now. The reason we dye our hair at home is to save money, but instead I spent more and wasted my "time" also. Ugh!!!!!

This product did nothing but damage my hair. My hair colour did not change a single shade and my hair is light grey. everywhere. I actually hurt my hand trying to get it out. I did the regrowth and was going to put the rest on for a few minutes. That's when I noticed that it hadn't mixed properly! There were lumps and pale bits. As my hair has been very dry lately and falling out a lot, this really worried me! I added water to the product as a hairdresser told me once, to make it gentler on the previously coloured bits, and just left it on for a minute. It is a yellowish colour whereas usually it is very ashy until after the first wash. There are places where the regrowth has not coloured. I will have to find another brand. Why haven't they listened to all the people who did reviews earlier? I hadn't coloured mine for 8 weeks because it was so dry. The last mixture was too runny. So disappointed.

poor, and my hair feels dry and damaged. After speaking with a customer service representative from Loreal, I was informed that the formula has indeed changed — which explains the noticeable difference. Unfortunately, this new version does not meet the standard I’ve come to expect. I’m now trialling alternative products, as I can no longer continue using this one. Very disappointed.

New formula is a fail I'm afraid. Not as good coverage or depth of colour. It doesn't mix well despite ample shaking. The cream was lumpy and difficult to squeeze out of the applicator. L'Oreal...listen to your customers and revert back to the previous better performing formula! Show details
