Alternative – I loved the L'Oreal perfect beige toner/conditioner. I was so disappointed to see it has been discontinued. Fortunately I've discovered John Freida Defy Grey Brunette conditioner. I literally rub a 1p size of conditioner through my hair, comb it through for a minute and rinse. It just leaves a slight ashy tone to my grey/blonde hair and I love it. Also leaves it so soft.

Colour NOT like picture or recommend results – I've used 8u on my hair for a few months. I decided to try the 6.03 light golden brown for a change. What a mistake. It is nothing like the colour on the box and has come out with a dirty brown colour. Very unhappy as I bought 2 off! How can I achieve the correct colour? Show details

It was fantastic – So disappointed it is now unavailable. Loved that it only lasted a few washes and didn’t have to redo roots. Had only just discovered this and now it is gone. Show details

Ew! What’s with the stupid equipment? – L’Oréal Preference has a multi nozzle comb but this has one little nozzle. They supply some weird apparatus with a flea comb on one end and something weird on the other end. I guess they think ‘Age Perfect ‘ means the aging woman is perfectly happy having to spend hours applying this hair colour with this tiny nozzle and a flea comb monstrosity  Show details

No lasting Pigment & Scalp reaction – After using L'Oreal Paris Excellence no 7 & no 6 to cover white hair, I have a terrible scalp reaction I have used this product for the last 5 or so years and always been happy The last few months the colour pigment is now very gold and the colour washes out, I have been very disappointed with this product. Show details

7.32 terrible result – After colouring my hair for years with Nice n Easy for years, with a beautiful gold blonde result, I thought I would try a different product for a change - what a mistake! Coloured it this morning with L'Oreal Age Perfect and my hair looks a sickly ash blonde - almost grey!!  Show details

Exactly what I didn't want! – Originally light brown/ dark blond. For years I had been using Excellence 'ash blond', moving to 'light ash blond' as I got older - the aim being to end up with an even silvery colour. Was always fine for a couple of weeks, then went brassy & I had to use a silver rinse to counter the yellow. Tried the 'light creme blond' Age Perfect. Result:… Read more

orange hair roots straight away! I'll stick to Fancifull Silver Lining Rinse, or Provoke Touch of Silver products in future.

Absolutely horrible – Color was nothing like the box. Turned it dark chestnut brown. My fault for not doing a test strand but the box was basically the same as my light original Color, I just wanted to freshen it up. Never. Ever. Ever going to use this product again. It borderline false advertising. Wth Show details

It did not cover gray hair, the colour is darker than on the picture and other brands, smells bad too. I am not happy with the final results and will not purchase this dye anymore. Colour a disappointment – I used the creamy blonde to freshen up my colour and now my hair is brown! Waste of time and wrecked what I already had! Very disappointed with the result

Fabulous Home Hair Colour – I colour my hair ever 4-6 weeks, Started using age perfect natural blended layer tones a couple of months ago, very easy to use, I use a flat hair colouring brush to do the roots rather than the one in the box, covers all my grey hair and I have lots. I recently bought 6 boxes while it was on special. Love it. Hope they don't take it off the market.

Age Perfect Light Warm Auburn 6.35. Darker than I thought it would be but still nice – Used this hair dye 2 weeks ago. Happy with it but, it came out very much darker than the picture on the box, would say it was Dark Brown with a reddish tint. I actually quite like it even though I didn't really want it as dark. Has faded slightly over 2 weeks and is still a nice colour so I am very happy. Looking at other reviews I think the Age… Read more

Perfect Dyes are for very mature hair which is nearly all grey. I had some greys which it has covered very well and it feels in very good condition, shiny with no dryness. After two weeks it seems to have some highlights which is nice and actually looks quite natural. I liked the brush applicator to use over my ears and temples although my hair is long and curly so I wouldn't be able to get it through the rest of it. Quite impressed and would definitely use it again, although I will be waiting for it to go on special next time as I think $20 is too much.

Best hair colour – Covered all my greys first time (although I only am about 10% grey). Hair was only very slightly dry afterwards, less (or certainly no more) than other brands. Colour turned out even and very shiny!! Well definitely be using again.

Disappointing – I usually buy what's on special, but I decided to splurge and bought Age perfect in light blonde. I left it on for 40 minutes because I have grey above my ears and around my hairline, and sprinkled all over. The grey did not take any colour and I still have grey all around my hairline and part, so I'm cranky. I tried the same brand in the 8 range… Read more

but it was too dark and the grey was sill there. I won't use it again, I'll go back to the specials. Too expensive not to get a good result.

Best hair color product ever – This is the best hair colour product I have used, period. Easy to apply, it leaves my hair with great color and in the best condition it has been in in a long time. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair since using Excellence Age Perfect, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Barely covers it – Product doesn't go far and I have short/med hair. It clearly states on the box (100% grey coverage), yet I had to do a 2nd treatment the next day with another product as my grey hair and regrowth was still clearly visible. Poor performance L'Oreal, not impressed at all.
