Just didn't work – I'm an old hand at dying my hair, have been doing it for decades, I've got quite a lot of grey that comes through so I dye it every 5-8 weeks. I tried this product as I liked the look of the colour (Palma 5), however it was quite runny and was difficult to put on tidy and to my surprise it just didn't really work, I still had grey roots after, it… Read more

hadn't dyed my hair properly at all, whether it was because it didn't go on well in the first place I don't know, I usually have great results and all grey is covered perfectly but somehow not this time, didn't look at all as though I just dyed it.

Would have been a nice colour if it had worked but I won't be using this product again, I now have to spend more on another dye and do it again.

Do not shampoo colour out? – Colours ok but instructions state not to shampoo colour out. I now have welts and burns on my scalp! Definetly won't use again. Not happy! Will be asking for a refund.

Very bad result – I have used Preference Superior just an hour ago . It didn't make any change on my hair ! Greys are still Grey, Colour is the same as before even though i had it on more than 45 minutes. It looks like i didn't do any colouring. It was just a waste of time and money. I am really very disappointed !

Messy and confusing – I'm writing this review while waiting the 30 minutes before rinsing out my hair. I very much dislike this product. The colour is dripping everywhere and I can't wait to rinse it out! I've previously used L'Oréal excellence Creme and have been very happy with it. Even if the colour turns out nice I'll definitely go back to the Creme. I'm also confused as why I'm not using shampoo to rinse my hair?

Confusing – Instructions small and unclear. Due this think mixed highlighting cream with main bottle hence blondish. Highlights was powder. No idea what mix that with.no instructions on it . Provide shampoo unlike before was a gd conditioner :-(

Good color match – This is the first time I've used this brand and I haven't dyed my hair for about 15 years. I found it to have a strong smell (not used to it I guess) so the bathroom door remained open. The product is easy to use, non drip, it covered most of the greys (I saw about three strands after drying). As I have really dark brown hair, Tahiti no. 4 is like… Read more

on the box so I was very happy with the results. My only gripe was that the disposable black gloves were of poor quality. My sister recommended this product to me (btw she said the gloves are usually good) and I would so the same to anyone else interested in using the product. I only needed one box and I have mid length hair. Tip: Always go one shade lighter than you think. For around $13 when on sale, this is fantastic. A local salon quoted me $180 to dye my hair so the decision for DIY was easy.

Bad – I used the L'Oreal Preference (Dark Brown) for about three years before trying another brand. When I was using it I thought it worked well however I hated the smell so after being a bit hesitant to try another product I did it. I purchased Schwarzkopf Coloriste and loved it. I find Schwarzkopf Coloriste is so much better then L'Oreal Preference as… Read more

it only takes 10mins instead of 30mins, it has a lovely smell instead of a horrible chemical smell. Lastly the application bottle and the way the hair colour is packaged (in a tube) is so much better then L'Oreal, the applicator bottle even comes with 2 different heads. Over all although L'Oreal Preference works effectively and gives a nice colour using the Schwarzkopf Coloriste is a easier, quicker and more pleasant experience. I used to find dying my hair such a chore now its not much of a hassle at all. Works well, lasts 5-6 weeks, located in many stores so easy to find Price is at the higher end when compared to other brands, the smell, and the inclusions in the box are not as good as other brands. The worst con is that it takes 30mins and by that stage the stuff has started dripping out of the shower cap and stains.

Excellent – The smell is a little full on when dying your hair but the result is really nice. Very shiny result and full grey coverage. If it were not for the price i would buy it all the time. Great colour range, always leaves my hair so shiny and smelling very nice. The price, it has gone up to nearly twenty dollars a box.

Good – This is the dye that I use to colour my mum's hair. It covers her grey hair fine, which says something considering the increasing amount of grey hairs she is getting lol. It does the job and it is much cheaper to do the job yourself than a salon. There is a wide range of colours to choose from. The application looks natural, and it comes with a… Read more

bottle of shampoo to help make your colour last longer. It smells really bad you should apply it in a room with ventalation, and it can also stain the skin a bit so you might need to scrub it off for a little while.

Excellent – Hair colour was really easy to use. Results were excellent. Colour was what I expected and the size of the conditioner is excellent, at least enough for a few uses. Instructions were clear and gloves were salon quality. Colour seems to last really well and leaves my hair in good condition. Easy to use with clear instructions. Good range of colours. Excellent price. large tube of conditioner included.
