I have a Laser H008 and the remote doesnt work as it should. Only a few of the buttons work. The ok, volume and forward and back skip buttons, not the power, eject, pause etc.

I have the same problem I have an HD008 and HD007 DVD players - they are pretty good machines. One we use as a cd player. The problem is the both remotes are stuffed. The HD007 is a poorly designed remote and the bubble type buttons break from repeated use. The HD008 has a more traditional type of rubber button layout; but ours no longer works. I am trying to source a replacement for each. I emailed LASER support but not sure if message got through. Trying to buy one remote out there costs almost as much as a new player ($35 AUS). I noticed that the HD011 has the same looking remote as the HD008 - are they compatible? Can anybody help?

Hi Rob, having the same issue with the HD007 remote - was far too small and of no substance, but the dvd player is still good. Replaced it with the HD008, hoping that the remote control could also be used with the HD007 but ridiculously it is not made that way. HD008 player and remote still working fine but shame they are not interchangeable. Wondering if a universal remote would work, but as you said it is almost as cheap to replace the whole unit. Sorry I can't be of any help, but just wanted to say you are not alone with the problem.

My new DVD won't play it stops, then trying again it reads No Disc. I paid $39 for it but it is the fourth I own.

Exchange if you can but we gave up on them they either work really well or play up you get what you pay for

I have a Laser DVD-HD009 which I assume is similar to the 008. Is there a shuffle function for the USB so I can play music files at random ?

Hi didn't use it for shuffling but Id think there may be a shuffle option on the TV have you googled you tube the font of all info sorry couldn't be more helpful

Just setup my Laser DVD HD009 with HDMI cable it's brand new out the box and keeps coming up with no signal. I've checked it's plugged in right I even unplugged the power and plugged it back in Still won't work any suggestions.

Hello Why is there a black frame around the movie. Top..bottom and sides. Its the same on all the movies I've tried. Why won't it fill the whole screen?
