Can’t turn subtitles off when viewing sport on Kayo
blank screen all i have is audio cant get anything to work on remote
Each time I change channels with my STB-6000 I have to turn off the subtitles...How do I turn off the subtitles permanently from my STB-6000...??

my stb 6000 only records for 54 minutes on timer even though it's set for longer. Is it something to do with recording on a flash drive?

I have purchased a LASER STB-9000, everything works OK but how do I delete a recorded USB File when finished with ?

Hi Peter, To delete a file from a USB stick, you'll need to delete the file via a PC.
When entering the title of a recording there seems to be no provision to insert a space between words that make up the title. Is this not possible?
Sorry, the STB-6000 can't record the subtitle to the TV program.
When setting the Laser STB-6000 to record a program there does not seem to be a field to enter the name of the program, eg., the name of the movie or program - not subtitles but the name of the program or movie to be recorded.

Today I did a software update. It seemed to go well. Then I set up epg & after the unit had finished recording & shut down it kept showing message on my tv as new external input connected even though it is still turned off. It says this a number of times in succession. This has never happened before. I tried epg again to see if it was a one-off but it still happens. I even tried factory reset but it still is happening. The only thing that seems to stop it is disconnect cable from the tv then reconnect which is impractical. Any suggestions?

In the last week my laser stb6000 has started asking for password to watch some shows on wm and viseland. Other channels ok. Still records but must put in password to watch recording as well. Parental controls are "all unblocked".

Cheap and nasty gets bizzare performance. I would clear settings and format the device. You should be able to do that. And start again.
how do i upgrade latest version? what web site do i download from to load onto my usb?

When I record on to my hard drive, in the pvr folder it shows the program that I recorded but won’t play it back.
On USB "movie playback " Only fast forwards at 2x, if try the next one it jumps to the next folder...so annoying...any suggestions

My laser STB 600 set top box glitches on Ch 9 and subtitles keep coming up. I have retuned the stations but the problems still occur. Please help.

Has the v3 firmware been fixed yet? Had an stb6000 purchased aug 2020 which started playing up after v3 update loaded, recordings cutting off and going missing. Tried factory reset and take it back to v2.9 without success. Lost receipt so unable to return. Purchased new unit in august this year, been ok running 2.9 until 2 days ago when subtitles started popping up on 9go a d ch 9. Have had 1 recording cut off, 9gem, had tv on while recording and it cut off 30mins before end, coinsidentally just as subtitles popped up on screen. Worried about loading v3 in case i start losing recordings again.
My STB 6000 was last seen at the local tip. Got sick of continuing problems !

Tried to install v3. Unit sees the file and acts like its installed, goes through the motions of resetting. However im still getting subtitles on the ch 9 group and the only way to get rid of them is turn unit off/on or pull up epg, change channels then return to the ch9 i was watching. Checked info, it tells me its still v2.9. Does this mean loading up v3, which ive tried twice, isnt taking?
Hi, Firmware v3 has since been fixed. This was caused in an error with the upload. As long as the update is installed according to the instructions, it will fix the issues you are experiencing.
