Nice Cups but Poorly Made – Our Le Creuset cups developed dark grey lines around the inside rim soon after purchasing them. We purchased many and so contacted Le Creuset. On inspection, their quality control team said it was from stirring with teaspoons. This is ridiculous as such marks would then appear at the bottom of the cup not around the top inner rim. In the end, we think the marks were from the green/yellow sponge we used when washing up as the rough side seems to be scratching the inner surface, even though the tag that comes with the cup says to use a scourer on the product where necessary. Now we only use a very soft sponge to wash them and not the dishwasher. The cups are made in both China & Thailand. The fault mostly affected the cups from China. Obviously the manufacturing quality control is poor. Le Creuset replaced the cups but the same issue has returned on some cups despite the extra care. Their Le Creuset website says that their 'glazed stoneware is scratch resistant'. I expected a better quality product from Le Creuset but the brand is obviously not what it was. We would not buy Le Creuset again based on our experience and the quality control team's guesswork as to the cause of the damage.

Great espresso cup – I recently bought some new espresso mugs from le creuset as my husband loves his espresso in the morning and I was looking for a fathers day present. I bought 4 of them in black and he loves them. They are a very good quality and keep the coffee warm. Great design also. i like the quality and simple design
