the bread and butter plates and some of the dinner plates are doing the same thing. The glaze is gone all Motley. I’ve tried cleaning it and it won’t come off so I’m going to have to dig around for the receipts and take them back to Myer I guess or I’ll contact Maxwell Williams direct.

6 month Brita filters should be sold in Australia – Brita sells long life filters in the USA that last 6 months, whereas you can only buy filters that last only 1 month in Australia. The long life Brita filters should be sold in Australia. Along with glass jugs for the 6 months filters.

Water jug is great. We have terrible water in the Eyre Peninsula and this jug has made drinking water enjoyable again. Only problems is I wish I had a bigger one. Show details

My oil can leaked and after discussions with Avanti they agreed to replace it. The new one works well. I have no hesitation in recommending them and their products.

Great set! – I bought three of these sets from Woolworths one month ago to replace lots of chipped porcelain plates, bowls and cups. The weight of each item is… Read more

1/4 that of the old set, which makes loading and unloading the diswasher much easier. They will also be ideal for the caravan or camping due to their light weight. They stack significantly smaller than my porcelain sets, which has freed up a large space in the cupboard. The plates and bowls are made in the USA. The cups are made in China. I like the cup size. Upon comparison with the same style at kmart I found these to be bigger and a more comfortable shape. Instead of grabbing a glass to drink from, the family and guests gravitate towards these cups, which I find odd, but they serve the same purpose. The cups are stoneware and not the same material as the plates and bowls, which better insulates hot liquids. I'm still getting used to using a smaller bowl. The food content is the same, but my old bowls were large. The set is called Classic Winter Frost White. Overall I am glad I made to upgrade to this brand.

Nice Cups but Poorly Made – Our Le Creuset cups developed dark grey lines around the inside rim soon after purchasing them. We purchased many and so contacted Le Creuset. On… Read more

inspection, their quality control team said it was from stirring with teaspoons. This is ridiculous as such marks would then appear at the bottom of the cup not around the top inner rim. In the end, we think the marks were from the green/yellow sponge we used when washing up as the rough side seems to be scratching the inner surface, even though the tag that comes with the cup says to use a scourer on the product where necessary. Now we only use a very soft sponge to wash them and not the dishwasher. The cups are made in both China & Thailand. The fault mostly affected the cups from China. Obviously the manufacturing quality control is poor. Le Creuset replaced the cups but the same issue has returned on some cups despite the extra care. Their Le Creuset website says that their 'glazed stoneware is scratch resistant'. I expected a better quality product from Le Creuset but the brand is obviously not what it was. We would not buy Le Creuset again based on our experience and the quality control team's guesswork as to the cause of the damage.

Expensive dinner ware cracks – A lovely dinner set purchased from Myer as a gift for me. Only used twice (special occasions) and two bowls are cracked/chipped. I don't have the receipt but thought I would let people know that expensive dinnerware isn't always the best. Show details

Massively Surprised – So what has surprised me most about these glasses is that they are so thin and light yet they are so strong. I got these through a large online… Read more

retailer and expected them to be mostly broken upon arrival but despite some really poor packing not a single one was broken. This is my outstanding comment here - these are beautifully made. Super light, super thin and super strong. Beyond this, they have a great hand feel. I have bought these to replace my old, broken and chipped whiskey glasses and they are incredible. Not too big and not too small. The weight of the glass doesn't overwhelm the weight of the drink. I have bought both the 350ml versions and the 500ml versions and both are amazing for their intended purposes. These are high quality products that I have no hesitation in recomending and will probably buy a few more of to store as spares.

touch. No condensation on tables anymore. Microwave and Dishwasher safe (I have heard people saying cracking has occurred but I only use the top shelf of my dishwasher for them so they don't get hit with heavy plates etc that would create cracks). Doesn't stain! So no more coffee stains to scrub out. Come with a two year warranty. Cons: The brand does say to avoid sudden temperature changes (but I still haven't had a problem). You can't put them down with heavy force (but I use coasters under mine anyway). So even though they have cons, the pros definitely outweigh them and I'm really happy with mine.

Glasses not actually recycled glass – These glasses are coated color glass. Underneath is virgin glass. The external thin coating cracks off after placing in dishwasher for a few months. I doubt Jamie would be happy to know these are not fully recycled glass  Show details

Unacceptably fragile, lose heat quickly. Look good though. So I recommend for display cabinet use only. I've lost 7 of 8 saucers now - and that's… Read more

after buying another two cup and saucers to get more saucers as they aren't sold separately.

Dinner party or other situation where the cup is left on the saucer for an hour or two - the saucer will stick to the lifted cup for about and inch or two, then drop and crack.

Child or pet knock a cup off the coffee - 40cm drop to soft wooden floor - gone.

Also lose heat very quickly - so prewarming with boiling water mandatory if steaming milk where you can't go high enough in temperature to cater. Espresso machine cup warmers aren't enough.

Review about the 250 mL cups, however the 400 mL mugs are even worse, as knock those over on a stone benchtop and goodbye. I haven't lost one in a dishwasher yet from something hitting it, but I pack very cautiously.,

Should be recalled, and explains why Myer has half price sales on them so often.

Beautiful shape, low quality, scratches easily – I was excited to purchase two sets of this beautiful Robert Gordon dinner set. Designed in Australia and made in China. The shape and color of the… Read more

set is lovely. Unfortunately, the quality of the product is low. After only a handful of meals, the plates are marked and scratched from cutlery; I expect this from a cheap and nasty K-Mart-branded dinner set, not a Robert Gordon set. The website states that the set is of superior quality, strongly disagree. The large plates are too high for the dishwasher and need to be hand-washed (not ideal for a busy family) or can be stacked facing backward and on a slant, which wastes a lot of room in the dishwasher. I am not impressed and will never buy or recommend Robert Gordon again.

product refunded. They are made out of stone. My theory is when it was constructed, the stone might have been porous and trapped some air or moisture in the wall of mug. Constant heating expands that and weakens the wall until it failed. Just a theory, but in future I will be avoiding stone for crockery that could get hot.

stars. Although the lid mechanism looked like stainless steel it turned out to be very cheap "silver" coated plastic so light that it weighs practically nothing!

P.S. Dec. 20 2015: Despite what I said above, which I have no reason to change, I still feel that this little product does a fantastic job! :-) The product. The container and base are glass but what appeared to be stainless steel turned out to be cheap plastic with a silver coating.
