Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 1 15.6"

Lenovo gets a 1 in star for customer service – This is my first Windows 11 laptop Computer, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15IJL7 slim laptop. It is okay but definitely needs a lot of improvement from Windows 10 computer I had to replace it from. Customer service is not goòd. AI chat doesn't work properly. Warranty registration not available on purchase date. Hidden cost on warranty which should be free. Not a happy customer :(

The touch pad has something wrong with – I always use the touchpad rather than the mouse. So the fact that the curser jumps all over the place when I move it, it suddenly stops for no reason makes using this thing annoying. Might just be this computer, but there is obviously some dust in it or just bad manufacturing. I got it brand new from Office Works. One more problem with the Laptop I just noticed, it that 2 screws were missing on the bottom of it. Just near the screen. So maybe something happened to it at Office Works or at the factory.

24 Sep 2023 Things have gotten worse. The screen finally became loose. So I fixed it myself with some steel plate and screws. Also the mouse doesn't really work well. I boosted the wireless signal on the computer to maximum, and it kind of fixed the problem with the mouse. But the mouse USB dongle only works on the left side not the right side. There are only 2 USB ports and only the left side one works. The right side one sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't work.

In the photo below you can see all the trimming fell off also. And the steel plate I put on the keep the screen attached. I live 200km from Office Works Canberra where I bought it, I can't be bothered driving there to complain etc. Plus, I don't want to give anyone access to my hard drive as I do all my banking etc on this laptop.

I have sent a complaint to Lenovo in China, if they do or do not get back to me, I'll edit this again to let people know if Lenovo actually care about their products.
