Lenovo Yoga 7i EVO (14", 2-in-1 Laptop)

Lenovo Yoga quality issue and service failure – Lenovo Yoga and Lenovo service failures Lenovo Yoga laptop. The motherboard failed after 9 months. I had paid for additional onsite service and booked a service call. They made a booking and I waited all day twice (between 8am and 6pm) and the technician did not show up. It took another two service calls (2 more days waiting) for the repair and now the battery life is low, it has gone from over 9 hours to under 3 hours. No explanation and after many hours of troubleshooting and remote access support, no solution. It is possible that the replacement board has a lower quality processor and chipset.

The complaint was escalated to a representative located in Australia who cannot see the support ticket information.

You have got to be kidding me Lenovo!

It looks like I have to take legal action.

I have owned many laptops and this is the fastest failure and the worst customer service I have experienced.

Bought 2 new. Massive issues with both – Bought one each for our high school children 6 months ago. One has been away now for four weeks with an unknown time of repair. A cracked screen (not the type of crack from being dropped) also the base panel popped out. The other laptop now having the screen go black, screen shaking, touch screen not working and the base panel also popped out. Just returned the second one and expect similar unknown delays

Not at standard especially when impacting school work.

Harvey Norman is understanding and working with us to get these repaired in a timely manner but 4 weeks is getting ridiculous and impacting their schooling.

Under Consumer Law, if it is deemed to be a 'major issue' the retailer must refund and take up the issue with the manufacturer.
