Haven't had this for long. The laptop is very capable although I'm probably no where near pushing it. Biggest complaint is spending so much on it then having to buy a bluetooth dongle because the BT drivers conflict with higher end headphones. Lenovo are 'happy I solved my own problem' but not motivated to improve the quality of their product. Show details

I purchased the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition (15", Gen 9) in March. Initially, I was pleased with the design, performance, and price. However, just a few months later, I noticed dark patches and flickering on the display, which severely affects usability. After contacting Lenovo support, I was told the issue was due to internal screen… Read more

breakage likely caused by external pressure—and therefore not covered by warranty. This was frustrating, especially since I’ve always handled the device with care. It’s been consistently stored in a Lenovo sleeve inside a well-padded computer case. I’ve followed the same routine with my old ThinkPad X1 for years without a single problem.

Adding to the disappointment, the quoted cost for screen repair or replacement was extremely high—almost comparable to buying a new device. It’s alarming that such a costly and fragile issue can occur with normal use

This experience has made me question the durability and build quality of the Yoga series. Compared to the more robust ThinkPad line, the Yoga feels far less reliable.

Poor Quality - Lenovo Yoga Laptop – Bought Yoga 7 14" AMD laptop less than a year. Replaced the keyboard 6months ago and now broken again. No quality control on this laptop. Rubbish and highly recommend to stay away from Lenovo Yoga Laptop. Show details

Yoga 7 Laptop completed failed after 11 months & Lenovo refuse to repair or replace unit – I've left a review about Lenovo customer service, but I am also keen to warn purchasers of the evident poor quality of the build of Lenovo laptops. This was a very expensive laptop (over $2K), and was treated very gently, but the screen completely failed after 11 months. It went completely black, rendering the unit unusable. No restart or factory… Read more

reset made any difference.

I wouldn't be leaving this review if the company had agreed to fix the problem, but sadly that is not the case. They responded to our initial email, then the exchange went cold at the point we asked how we could access an authorised repairer. That was two months ago, so we've had to enlist the support of NSW Fair Trading (thank goodness for them!).

We will certainly be avoiding Lenovo going forward, and warn as many people as possible that it's not worth the risk of buying one of their products.

State of the art at its finest – I recently bought the Lenovo Yoga Slim in white for my wife. What got my attention is the system being second to none along with it quite light (less than a kg). Batterry life and CPU is quite fast with everything running smoothly. Quite the purchase if its going to be used for work or personal use. Show details

Complete shut down after bios update – I'll preface this by saying I don't know which Yoga I have - I would except the whole thing has shut down so I can't check. I loved it ...until it demanded I do a bios update, which I did, and now nothing works. It won't connect to the internet, insists I connect to cellurlar only, the touchpad and touch screen don't work, Nothing. Infuriating. … Read more

UPDATE: to give Lenovo their credit, I rang customer support and after much pressing of buttons and pins into obscure places, the computer is now working again. It was quick to get through to customer support and the assistant was very patient and helpful, persisting until the problem was resolved. Not happy that the problem occurred in the first place, but otherwise satisfied with the service. Mine was a Lenovo 81XL by the way - written in tiny letters on the underside!

Wow AMD, I'm impressed! – I needed a new laptop for work (school teacher). I wanted a windows laptop for compatibility with school hardware such as wireless projectors. This device, or the AMD chip rather, is a star performer. What I like: Bright enough screen (almost as good as my Macbook Pro) Thin and light Excellent battery life - I do a day's work with about… Read more

60% left at the end of the day

There was a time not too long ago, when $2600 bought a serious piece of equipment. Nowadays, it buys this kind of machine. And I have to say, I'm not disappointed. In fact, I'm really pleased with it. The chip is so fast, it blitzes my other devices. It has an excellent keyboard which is important to me and the ports are aplenty. I also like the premium feel. Not quite up with Apple (costing a thousand dollars more), but it's not too far off.

There's nothing bad at all to say about this device. It makes a great workhorse. However, I discovered upon setting it up, when plugged in, the fan was screaming as the machine was updating. So much so, I thought it was a fault. The tech assured me it might be only during this initial setup phase. He was right. I imagine though, people who put the processor under more load than me, might find the fan irritatingly noisy. But that's the price I guess for a chip that is screaming fast - it must get screaming hot and need cooling.

I have one gripe, and it's not about the device. I spent the last 5 years using MacOS. And returned to Windows with this Lenovo. Oh...my...God! I don't know how to put my frustration into words. Let me try. Using the Mac has been like a symphony of skilled musicians bringing pleasant sounds to the ear providing a smooth and wonderful experience: it does what it needs to do to keep you updated all in the background without any fuss. Windows usage is a bunch of zoo animals being given instruments and handed a bunch of sheet music left to their own devices clanging and banging away in comparison. What a difference! Microsoft hasn't just dropped the ball, they lost it.

If you're deciding between a Mac and this Lenovo and it doesn't matter which you need, do yourself a big favour and go with the Mac. But if you need a Windows laptop, this computer is excellent and won't let you down. It's lovely to work with and I'm glad I purchased it. I might stick an Apple sticker on it and see if that makes a difference to Windows.
