LG G5 Series

I've had the LG G5 OLED TV for six months now, and I absolutely love it. I upgraded from a Sony KD65X8500, and the difference is like night and day. The picture quality is outstanding, with amazing colours and exceptional brightness. I also really like the AI features and the ability to create and fine-tune separate picture profiles for different types of content, whether I'm watching TV, gaming, or enjoying movies. The TV was easy to set up, has never dropped its internet connection, and installs software updates reliably. The design is excellent as well. One detail I particularly appreciate is the absence of a manufacturer's logo beneath the screen, which is something you still see on many competing TVs. Some people complain about the small, minimalist remote, but I actually love it. It includes all the functions I need, such as Netflix, the TV Guide, Home, and Settings buttons. That said, it would be great if LG added a dedicated Google Home button and Google Assistant support. The built-in sound quality is not particularly impressive, but that's not an issue for me because I always use an external audio system. Overall, the LG G5 has exceeded my expectations and has been a fantastic upgrade.
Purchased in for $3,157.99.
BEFORE BUYING LG OLED TVs check what remote you will have. I bought an LG G5 65in tv for over $4000. Its a great tv, brought undone by LG supplying a scaled down, smaller remote that has NO NUMERIC PAD. So rather than choosing a channel by pressing two numbers, you are forced to use a very user UNfriendly, with ponderous, cascading menus involving many more button presses. Pointer sometimes wanders over the screen increasing difficulty. And don't even think about watching any programme or movie with "Searching" in the title. Because it then goes in to search mode. No doubt LG managed to save a few dollars on this abbreviated remote control. I won't make the same mistake again.
Quite extraordinary picture and worth considering. When buying a TV like this, one might consider it's a 10 year purchase and amortised over 10 years it's about $15 per week, which is quite good for the entertainment it provides
Purchased in at The Good Guys Physical store for $6,000.
