Terrible LG product – I have bought this expensive fridge with main option of Ice and water dispenser but within 4 years the ice dispenser is out of order and we can't have an ice or cold water. The side shelves are broken and required replacement. Not too sure if I request for a repair or go for other product. I will not recommend LG product to anyone. The quality of the material is bad and not durable in the longer term so don't waste money on either product.  Show details

garage as it is large enough to store heaps of extra food. We have had no problems with this fridge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great side by side unit.

receipts, they wanted signed affidavit, after providing that they wanted photos of the food. They were always polite and promising to set it right but never did, would call back and same promises. Eventually gave up. I think that was their plan. Will not buy LG product again.

Not Quiet What I Had Expected – The ice maker a main feature for buying the fridge. The water pump is very load (especially after midnight) only outdone by the crashing of ice into a tray. These problems have now apparently disappeared as the whole thing has just stopped working all together. Overall I regret the purchase. Final words expensive noisy and clunky.

Very Disappointing – Both fridge and freezer work exceptionally well and are well designed and lovely to use, program, etc. BUT although my ice maker works well and the ice doesn't clog, the machine could not get the water from the fridge to the freezer. disappointment has been 1) the flimsy shelving which has all broken and 2) the service agents in Auckland. They gather up the dud models and produce a new model from all the "good" parts and then sell it cheap insisting it is brand new. We found out that ours was a previously owned one from Nelson. We live in Napier. Sadly so many things were not functionally as well as they should have. The Auckland service agents kept promising the world and being Indians i was soft and too kind. i figured being a minority they may get a raw deal so I was very patient and kept giving them more time between the ten fobbed off phone calls. Eventually I realised I had been conned and by that time it was out of warranty and I had no leg to stand on.

together. So the latest in this saga was we woke up one morning to the smell of fridge gas and found that all our food had spoiled. This was not the first time we had lost our entire load of fridge and freezer food. We approached LG 2 days before the warranty ran out. They fixed the fridge finally, so that took near on a month and a half. So we had to go and buy another fridge to tide us over. When we came to yet again claim for food, they again ripped us off by about $100 as they did the first time. We had documented evidence and receipts and still that wasn't enough. Their customer service isn't the greatest. I would never buy another LG product again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Their warranties are not worth the paper they are written on. It will never be happening again! Buyer - BEWARE!

shock at how much better for the money. One thing though living in Tassie I reckon the ice maker wouldn't work too well anyway as cold so only need -16 on freezer when -18 recommended for mainland Oz. And 4 on fridge instead of 5 and having lived before in WA was aware moving down to Tas that fridge didn't have to work as hard. Can recommend it 100% but would have gone without ice maker too easy to do as we always have and make it ourselves using kettle boiled overnight making enough for 2 these days. Sleeping better with wooden floors not cracking nightly as much and not hearing it turning on and off. Efficient quiet easy doors lots of areas for types of foods Nothing except for me would have gone for no ice maker.

put ice in a cup and then fill up with tap water saves filling up water bottle in the fridge all the time and little noisy when pumping water to ice maker but its only last a few seconds. Looks great, plumbing not required, crushed ice option Water not really cold

Non plumbing Ice maker – Poor quality ice/water dispenser Have had this fridge for 15mths now and have had the ice dispenser replaced twice now. I would not recommend this fridge to anyone. Domayne we so helpfull they just replaced it each time no hassel great service ....the above bad reviews have a common story both were only a couple of weeks old and you didnt fight for your right to have it replaced if you ask me the chance of getting a bad fridge exists but get what you paid for dont put up with a fix !!! mind you I would never purchase anything form Harvey Norman whilst Domyne is owned my the same company te customer service is far superior and they do care if you are a return customer...... so the above disappointment I really think is the buyer not the fridge ! if you have the abilty to have perminant plumbing this is not the fridge for you there are so many better options out there but if you are like me and move then I would most definately buy this one again 100% happy . no plumbing ice/water , size, lights inside are not glaringly bright, price I got a great price under 2,000 delivered with extra warrenty great value and it is economical to run.

during which I made a formal complaint) saw the new door installed towards the end of April.

However, less than two weeks later and the same problem has occurred - we are again without ice.

I have now made a second formal complaint with LG, and they have just advised me that they will not replace the fridge. Their protocol says a tech must come and take another look, and then they will replace the door again if need be. I have disputed this, and requested a new fridge however this isn't covered under their warranty, as it is a repair warranty not a replacement warranty.

I am yet to full enjoy my new fridge, and would love if any one else has experienced the same problem to get in contact with me. Good design, very spacious, especially the door shelving Exceptionally bad after-care service from LG, ice maker doesn't work

to replace the pump the ice maker stopped working and whilst waiting 10 days for a replacement part the compressor died. I have lost faith in the LG brand and never again will I choose this brand. I had a previous bad experience with our LG dishwasher and thought I would give them another chance.Silly me.

For the money you pay it does not do basic functions. Noisy.
