This tv lasted less than 4 years before a critical system failure. I expected better from LG. Show details

dont buy – brought a year ago now and it’s always had a very slow response time, even after deleting unused apps. range of apps is fine except the kayo app wont work on the tv for some reason. picture quality is good during the day if your not sitting right where any glare is and at night time is good. would probably have got a different tv if i knew it was like this Show details

Amazing TV for the price – For the price, this TV is amazing. Clear picture, bright colours, decent darks and built in game optimiser are fabulous. People who say the picture is wrong haven’t applied the right settings. This is absolutely worth it. Dark photos appear lighter than they are on the camera. Show details

So disappointing – Purchased at Harvey Norman last February, I informed the salesperson quite specifically of my needs, which are that I have a hearing deficit and need the TV to have Bluetooth capability to connect to my existing Bluetooth headphones. I also told him we have a home theatre system which runs off the old TV via an optical connection. As anyone who… Read more

has bought a TV in the last 5 years knows, the speakers are now very restricted in size, and therefore their ability to produce a rich sound. Home theatre systems or Sound-bars have become a normal addition to most modern TV's. So after commissioning the TV, I go into the setup menu only to find that Bluetooth is only available with the TV speaker, and not a home theatre system in combination. You can have Bluetooth remote speaker or headphones by themselves, but not Bluetooth headphones and the home theatre system together. This was my main requirement, particularly for watching movies. LG have really missed the mark here! The workaround is for me to ditch my $450 Bluetooth headphones, buy an optical splitter and a new set of RF headphones ($350 - 400) which now-days have an optical input. To add significantly to my dissatisfaction, the picture quality is not a good as our old Panasonic (Smart) TV which has simply been relocated within the home, and not discarded. In the store, they claimed they could not connect the LG to "free to air" television due to capacity limitations, and so they had the marvelous demo DVD or whatever showing on it. That in itself is a trap, and one I was aware of but was persuaded by the salesperson that it was a very good TV. Just to top it off, I was also persuaded to take out extended warranty which means I have to tolerate this poor picture quality for even longer. No more LG for me. One week on, I have received a message from LG which essentially places all the responsibility for my situation on the Harvey Norman salesperson. I responded by challenging the fact that LG have had a real design oversight by allowing this limitation to exist. Their response did not mention the poor picture quality. An important update : After quite some investigation, I thought I had found a viable solution to my situation. I purchased a pair of Philips SHC5200 RF headphones, only to find out later that they are discontinued, and so are the special "Philips" branded rechargeable batteries needed to run them. NO other batteries are accepted by the headphones! I tried two pair of headphones from Harvey Norman and both of them contained batteries which had totally "died" from being left flat for a long time, old stock. I received a refund and now it's back to square one. Have a look at my review of these Philips headphones on this website. At this point it looks like I'll buy a pair of Sennheiser RS 175's at $350 which have excellent reviews.

Happy with purchase – Recently replaced my Samsung QLED with this LG model and so far very happy. Picture quality and sound are great, relatively easy to use and set up. Only downside is it didn’t come with built in antenna like my previous model did. Show details ·  1

Steer clear of this brand and model!!!!! LG nano 75 (86 inch) – Very dissatisfied!!!! No support provided at all from LG. 2 Complaints lodged already-after the first complaint their technicians (3rd party surveyors) came home to inspect and advised me in person that the unit was faulty due to obvious light bleed and screen constantly looking dirty with vertical patches. Very distracting to anyone watching.… Read more

Following that on speaking to LG on the phone, I was told they said no fault and there is nothing that can be done further. Complaint lodged “again” with proof of photos and still no action taken after 2 months. Expect so much more from a big brand like LG but each time they have disappointed. Not buying any other product from them!!!

Terrible picture at night time – The picture on the tv in the shop looked awesome. I watch tv mainly at night. The picture is terrible. The black sections at the top and bottom that u get when u watch a movie are filled with white lights/clouds. It’s pretty much unwatchable. Some movies are worse than others. Have contacted LG and sent them photos and called but haven’t heard… Read more

anymore back. For a 2 grand tv I feel completely ripped off. My 10 year old sharp tv has a better picture at night. If u watch tv/movies or Netflix at night I wouldn’t buy this tv. Waste of money.

Disappointed – TV locks up. Remote does not work when this happens. Have to turn TV off at power button. This has happened a number of times. Didn't expect this from LG

Excellent value Nanocell TV – I recently bought the LG 65Nano75 model and this has proven to be a complete revelation. While I was initially looking for a Nano86 or 91 model, due to stock unavailability in my area (a common problem of late) I settled on a Nano75 model from Harvey Norman because I could get a next day delivery. I was glad I did as this has so far proved to be… Read more ·  1

an excellent buy. Firstly the design of the Nano75 is simple and neat. The two feet and black frame look identical to the company's OLED A1 model and also the cheaper UP80 series; it's their winning design in my opinion. This model comes with the company's newly refreshed WebOS operating system, which is intuitive to use and easy to access all the apps. The updated remote control is also user friendly, once you get used to the mouse wheel and pointer system, which is really unique. My only grip is that they don't include a cheat button for youtube unlike some competitors (but it's nice having one for Disney Plus). 3 HDMI inputs is a little mean considering the era in which we live but I use a Sony 1080 receiver anyway so it's no big deal. Picture quality is overall excellent considering the affordable price of this model, which I got on sale for not much more than a generic brand model. The panel is fairly low contrast and my guess is that the ADS panel is sourced from China's BOE rather than LG itself but no deal breaker. The inclusion of filmmaker mode across the board is something for which LG deserves kudos - a great setting and this makes films look extremely cinematic. Black levels are not outstanding with the lights out for movies but okay for normal DVD and blu ray as the upscaling is excellent. With a bit of mood lighting, 4K HDR movies look superb from my Panasonic 4k blu ray player. I found lowering the brightness and turning on AI enhancement decreased the effects of some minor light bleeding in the top right hand corner. Overall, though, my TV has a very even picture quality with good performance with most content. With sports or news content from free to air TV, I could not detect much in the way of banding or other impurities so I think I got a good panel. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching a variety of content on my new 65 inch Nano75, which appears to be an absolute winner from Lucky Goldstar (true, look it up...) The picture is very good for the money and proves there is life left in affordable LED TVs. Well done, LG!

Worst television ever! – This LG 86" television was to upgrade & replace a 75" Sony with the same technology. The picture for dark scenes is absolutely appalling. There is light bleed from the corners which makes for a terrible viewing experience. We emailed pictures to LG and kept being asked for more, and for pictures from settings in the TV which don't exist. LG… Read more

have arranged a technician to take a look, but at our expense, and we need to somehow transport the huge 86" TV there! They will reimburse us only if their technician agrees its faulty. My family are so dissatisfied we almost have no words & will never purchase LG ever again!

Worst TV I've ever had – Got this TV as a gift for my 60th in August, so disappointed for my son who purchased it for me. One week after having it and not being able to connect it to external devices I called JBHIFI where is was purchased they said to bring in down. I still had the box (still do), however due to illness and lack of help I couldn't get it there. Visited… Read more

the store in person when I came out of hospital, they called booked a technician to come look at it. Today LG proceeded to tell me that if they can't find the fault I would have to pay the call out fee and and hourly rate plus parts. From the beginning it will not connect with the Receiver, bluetooth and wifi keep disconnecting through out the day or evening. I have to keep setting bluetooth up over and over, generally give up as my time is waisted. TV speaker is just awful and drops out slightly and the picture is dull and washed out. The set up instructions in the menu's are useless, as they do not relate to anything much, they are reiterating what's already in other sections, and many of the options aren't available to click on. The lack of ports and various components is disappointing also. Thank goodness for my Old LG LED's which are far superior as well as my Plazma Hitachi, lucky I have them to use! Stay away from LG as their support is rubbish and find alternative ways to explain the problems so you have to pay! Dreadful. Taking my complaint to Consumer Protection as I want a refund.

Nice TV but was hoping for better – Bought this TV 11 days ago as a replacement for another TV that broke down. The unit looks nice and picture is good when watching front on however I find that picture fades when looking at it on an angle. This unit also seems to stand out further from the wall than my previous Tele when mounted on the wall bracket. Also just noticed this TV is… Read more

Awesome TV! – After over 10 years our LG plasma in the living room finally said good bye. Time for an upgrade! After many hours of research I shortlisted 3 tv's from SONY, Samsung and LG. Flat panel tv's are apparently in short supply due to the pandemic. I was lucky all 3 I was looking at were in stock and there were sales on at the time. Having done my… Read more ·  1

research on the tech specs and other user and professional reviews i settled on the LG NANO 75 TPA 65 inch. It has the 2 main apps we use - Netflix and Disney. Very easy to set up and navigate with the remote. I didn't even read the instructions or watch any Youtube videos to set up. My 8 year old son worked out how to navigate the OS within a day. Voice control function is pretty good. Picture quality is amazing. We are not hard core gamers or watch much sports so the 100 hertz refresh rate does not bother me. Have watched many action movies and played hour of Nintendo switch and cannot fault this TV. I wall mounted it and the sound bounces of the wall and i think it sounds great. If you want a good value TV and don't want to spend a crazy amount this TV should definitely be on your short list
