Be warned they don’t last and that’s built in planned obsolescence. My just under 5yold 65”CX, that still looked amazing in every way, just decided to not turn on after a few months of symptoms indicating a faulty power supply unit or main board. Just have a google of “lg oled PSU” and see how common it is. I may try to repair it but as OLEDs… Read more
are by far the best looking TVs, I’ve just ordered a new one on sale with 5y warranty, s#cker for punishment it seems haha.
LG did state that extend the warranty past 1year by 600 days?? (Can’t remember the exact number) due to Australian consumer law stating items of value must last “a reasonable length of time”. 5 years for a $3-4k tv is cr#p when cheap butts LED last for ever. Even crapper when the most important thing, the panel, seems to still be flawless but cheap parts designed to fail, fail.
Update, after lodging a formal complaint LG replaced the 2 boards, then the panel. So make sure you fight for your consumer protections people!
Do not buy LG OLED – Don't buy. Failed after 18 months. LG would not repair or replace outside of 12 months. First time I've had an issue with a TV. When it worked it did look great though. Show details
LG Breaking Consumer law - See you consumer Tribunal LG.... TERRIBAL CUSTOMER SERVICE – No consumer rights and service -see you in Consumer Tribunal LG I purchased a brand new TV (LG OLED 65 inch) from JB HiFi - had it delivered to my house. I noticed a small dent on the packaging but proceeded to unpack it, and completed the setup including the stand. The TV was working fine until ~2 months later when it all of a sudden shut… Read more
down. I restarted the TV only to have it shutdown again after 30 sec and has since failed to turn on again. its like the old fashion tubes going off and flicking.
Got an LG technician out to say it had a 4mm hair line crack in screen which you can not see unless you have the right light and angle on it. LG sent to me a text, 8 days later, stating they had made an irreversible determination that they will not offer any remedy as it is not covered under their warranty obligations.
TV was working fine for 3 months and suddenly just stopped for no reason.. see you in court...
Fantastic TV! – I bought this Boxing Day 2022 and it's been a stellar TV. I upgraded from a Plasma, so I wanted another TV that could produce the black levels I was used to. This TV has exceeded my expectations. I'm currently streaming RuPaul's Drag Race in 4K which is a very colourful show and it really pops on screen. I do a lot of gaming using my PS5 and PC… Read more
and games look incredible. Love the 120hz refresh rate. The only downside is how free-to-air TV looks. The upscaling in this case produces a blurry look, but I don't watch much free-to-air so it doesn't bother me that much.
It lasted just 8 months – After our last few TV being LG we figured we could not go wrong. We bought the OLED77CSPSA for ~$4895 It was a great TV with a fantastic picture though the LG App is yet another 'sign up and give us all your details for anything more than basic functionality' App. We only ever used a Sound Bar so I cannot speak for the sound quality Then after 8… Read more
months it just died. Just like that *snap* Since that point LGs service and support has been atrocious, but that is another story.
This is a high-end and high-price TV. It should not be having a part as major as the screen dying in JUST 8 months. I hate to think what would have happened if we managed to get to 12 months before it malfunctioned. Even if you ignore the terrible Service & Support by LG for a TV to die after just 8 months it is hard to look at LG again as a brand worthy of trust. There is no excuse for such shoddy workmanship.
Great TV – We had been waiting for an OLED TV like this one to come on sale, and we have been pretty happy with the purchase. Picture quality is fantastic. TV used mostly for movies, sports streaming and occasional gaming. The software is pretty responsive but not lightning fast. However, it is very capable of web browsing, although this is a bit tedious to… Read more
nagivate with the remote. You can connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the TV which helps a lot.
Viewing will definitely benefit from tweaking the settings, and the same footage can look very different between different presets. The "AI Sound Pro" setting can also be a bit hit-and-miss, as sometimes you can hear it trying to tweak the sound on the fly, especially when listening to something like a podcast where the sound should be fairly consistent.
Overall very happy and not planning on replacing or upgrading any time soon.
Burn in from LG's own high contrast screen saver – I raised a repair claim with LG under Australian Consumer Law to rectify the burn in as a result of LG's own high contrast images used in the screen saver that comes on when the tv loses signal from the selected source. They refused to send someone to inspect the panel, let alone repair and wanted me to transport the 55" TV to a repair center myself and pay them more money. Show details
Terrible quality – Paid over $4000 for a top of the line LG OLED TV. Took less than 3 years for it to have dead pixels appear. As per consumer law, if a major fault is deemed (which it was with their troubleshooting team), the customer is entitled to a replacement or a refund. LG does not abide by this law and as a result I am stuck with a broken TV that should have lasted well over 3 years. Do not choose a LG TV - go for Samsung. Show details
Can't fault it. I love it – Had for a few years when it first came out and have enjoyed everyday since. Show details

A stunning piece of technology – Our LG TV is a stunning piece of technology. boasts a sleek and modern design that looks great in any room. The picture quality is outstanding, with bright, vivid colours and sharp images. The 4K resolution makes everything look incredibly crisp and clear, and the HDR technology adds depth and contrasts to the images. The sound quality is also… Read more
impressive. The TV produces clear and immersive audio, making you feel like you're right in the middle of the action. The speakers are well-placed and don't produce any distortion, even at high volumes.
The TV is incredibly user-friendly, with a simple and intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate. The remote control is also well-designed and easy to use, with convenient buttons for quick access to commonly-used features.
One of the standout features of this TV is its smart capabilities. The LG TV comes equipped with webOS, which allows you to easily access a wide range of apps and streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. The built-in WiFi also makes it easy to connect to the internet and stream content directly from your phone or computer.
Overall, the LG TV is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality, modern TV with great picture and sound quality, an intuitive user interface, and smart capabilities. It's definitely a worthwhile investment that you'll be able to enjoy for years to come.
Insane picture and sound quality – Easily the best tv I've ever owned and at an affordable price. Once you set it up to your liking, it's mesmerising. Don't let your video game consoles control HDR automatically as they'll clash. Some days it's hard to go to work , the picture is so beautiful. Absolutely brilliant appliance. Show details
OLED is just the next LEVEL! – Super happy with this LG CS 55inch, The colours look fantastic, and the blacks look super dark and crisp! Gaming: Coming from a 60hz Screen to 120 is a significant difference, and I can see a lot more detail and a substantial difference in refresh rates and performance! LG has taken a step forward! I’d never go back to LCD or QLED OLED is just next level! I couldn’t believe I got a major deal on this too! Show details

Know better, choose better.
Excellent picture, great value but some annoying features – Bought this in Good Guys for $1565 which is a lot cheaper than the C1 was last time I looked. The TV is a C1, basically but with a much better, faster processor. The OLED picture is sensational with night scenes very clear even in a lit room but the sound is pretty ordinary so I had to buy a DtoA converter and hook it up to the HiFi, but then, my… Read more
hearing is not the best. Plenty of ports-all digital. Remote control needs to be re-learned as it is very different from my old LG remote which, fortunately, still works on the new TV. I'm so pleased with this TV, highly recommended.
Love being in the OLED club – Recently upgraded to an OLED TV during Black Friday sales. CS was on sale and the offer was too good to miss. Really happy with the picture quality in every way, the blacks are incredible and make my movies look flawless, even my wife who doesn't care about image quality noticed it. The smart TV works well, the remote reminds of a Wii from years… Read more
ago - like a cursor pointer. We like the slim design, and overall chose LG because my friends recommended it
The best value OLED in 2022? – Pros and Cons. All the typical pros and cons of OLED panels apply here, so I'm not going to repeat them. OVERALL- love this TV. It's awesome viewing and awesome value. latest processor from LG's top-of-the-line TVs 4 x 2.1 HDMI inputs and ALL of them are 120hz This is effectively last year's best TV (LG C1) with the latest 2022 processor Brightness, or lack thereof is just not a noticeable problem No quality issues with the TV
CONS Screen is a fairly reflective TV sound is ok but not a patch on a decent soundbar or sound system Start-up settings can be confusing for someone who hasn't set up a recent smart TV (i.e. last bought a TV 10 years ago!) No paper manual beyond some pamphlet guides to physically setting up the TV on it's stand and a guide to the remote buttons The superthin screen and TV weight makes it very scary exercise to physically setting up the TV The wall mount screw points are set much lower on the back than normal which means the TV will sit a lot higher on the wall if you're using an existing wall bracket - live with it, or spend the effort to reposition your wall bracket lower Fairly short power cable Remote isn’t backlit so hard to see when watching in a darkened room Just a measly 1 year warranty (vs 5 years on their G range TVs)
Review points I'm not a professional reviewer or TV tech nerd so I'm not going to give you test results, calibration settings or any of that technical stuff that you'll get on YouTube, etc. Having said that, there's very little online or professional reviews of this unit so far. This model seemed to have snuck in under the radar and hit the market just very recently. This TV appears to sit within the C range of LG's OLED TV's, with the C and G range effectively their top of the range TV's. Any 3rd party published information so far suggests that this TV is last year's C1 panel updated with the latest processor (Alpha 9 Gen5) that's also used in the other C & G range TV's. The C1 was practically every reviewers no.1 TV for last year, so it can only be a good thing for the CS. The key difference between this TV and the rest of the C and G range is that this is not LG's top spec EVO panel so theoretically this TV won't get as bright however, in isolation I have no issues at all with how bright this tv can get. I have it set up in a moderately sunny room and the TV does well to overcome glare. If you have a completely sun-filled room and you watch TV throughout the day, then perhaps this will not suit you. In the evenings, this TV can pump out glaringly bright images so no worries there. This is the 77" TV. It's huge. It's reasonably heavy at 27kg (without stand) but for the size, it's certainly not bad given the TV it replaced in my house - a 2012 Panasonic 50" plasma weighing in at a chubby 23kg. It's a 2 person job to set this TV up either on it's stand or on the wall. It's also very scary maneuvering this TV - the screen is so thin you can feel and see it flexing as you move it. The instructions direct you to put the TV flat on a table to screw the stand on - there's a reason - the stand is way thicker than the TV and you need the TV to overhang the table to install the stand, so don't make my mistake and lay it on the carpet first. Per the Cons - the wall mount fittings are much lower on the TV. The bottom screw holes are set 20cm from the bottom of the TV. That will help you work out if your wall bracket needs to be lowered. It also doesn’t come with bolts for screwing the wall brackets to the TV. It takes M6 bolts. I assume like all TVs today, the smart TV interface offers a lot of settings and functionality, so there's a learning curve to work it all out. Today's TV's are also no longer a set and forget affair especially if you are a bit fussy with picture settings. No one setting is perfect for every form of viewing you might use the TV for, so get used to playing with settings. The picture quality is fantastic. Is it the best? I can't judge that, especially in isolation but I have a couple of comparisons: Vs a 10 year old Panasonic plasma it's excellent, but the panny picture was just so good I had no desire to upgrade, except that a powercut killed it. I also have a 11-12 year old Sharp LCD TV - this blows it away but again, that is comparing it to a decade old LCD technology. In fairness, the Sharp still has a great FHD picture but horrible blooming and off-axis colour shift. The 4k resolution vs FHD is a big difference and this TV does such fantastic detailed images. Colours I have no concern about and images really pop. I haven't noticed any particular bias towards any specific tones but again, there's a multitude of picture settings which influences colours anyway so I can't tell in any way if the panel has a colour bias. Upscaling from FHD is really good but upscaling from standard definition is... well let's just say you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. It's a pretty big ask to get amazing pictures from rubbish standard definition broadcast TV. On the movement side I haven't noticed any major stuttering or fast-moving image issues. I've watched a couple of soccer world cup games without any issues. And running a PS5 on the TV is again, just fantastic so far. All 4 HDMI inputs support 4k 120Hz, a big improvement of 2021 models across all brands which mostly offered that on a maximum of 2 inputs. VALUE - this model is pitched at the lowest end of the C range. I got it in the Black Friday sales for $4520 (23% off recommended retail) - that is of course a lot of money to drop on a TV but it's INCREDIBLE value for a 77" OLED TV from LG. There's the Christmas sales and Boxing Day sales to come and no reason to think this wouldn't go on sale again, making this an absolute bargain on discount. We're also lucky here to get the 77" size, as in other markets this model is apparently not even available (USA) or only available in 55" & 65" (UK). Perhaps a big downside is that LG offer just the standard 12mth warranty on the CS but on their higher OLED models they've extended warranties to 5 years. The CS might be low in the OLED range but an OLED TV is still a premium purchase so the 12 month warranty is pretty mean.
