Could someone please tell me if the LG RH 1777 HDD/DVD recorder is able to record digital TV programmes? or is it Analogue only and basically useless now? The DVD player stopped working at 3 years old. I was recording analogue TV to the HDD prior to the digital change.
Analogue tuner only. Unless you feed the video/audio output from a digital set top box into the AUX input on the LG DVR.
Get a HD set top box. Connect it to the AV input and connect AV t to TV.To record, press Av button next to HDD button on remote 3 times. The first time selects the built in aerial connection, the second press selects a camcorder and the third time will give you access to a connected HD set top box with all its stations.The just record as usual.
