Use Common Sense and RTFM – The machine works great - no real issues. Have had it for over 6 years now. This won't do 15kg for all types. Read the fabulous manual. Overloading will cause clothes to slip between the seal and the drum and end up blocking the drainage. Use common sense. You may get an LE error. Try to reset as per manual. Most likely you have a faulty hall… Read more ·  1

effect sensor. Easy to replace with basic tools and common sense. See youtube on how. If you use the machine sensibly - it is great. Don't put buckets of sand in it after coming back from the beach - it will clog the pumps.

LG service unimaginably poor – Machine was bought in October 2019 and completely lost all power in May 2020 when just 6 old. Wasn’t too concerned as the machine had a 2 year warranty. I am now on day 18 with no washing machine and after numerous calls to Newcastle custom electric who is the nominated repairer and LG the result at the moment is that the parts are due in on the… Read more

24th of June. With a family of 6 and spending a reasonable amount ($1786) of money on a large machine (15kg) with. The bonus of the combined 8kg drier to say the least I am frustrated and totally dissapointed with the complete lack of care and disregard from LG. Constantly on hold for up to 30 minutes at a time and then transferred and on hold again with no positive result has left me totally devastated. Until now the machine was great although I am definitely not a fan off the condenser drier - I found that it made the clothes smell as if they had been sitting in a basket for a few days before been hung out. My biggest problem is the total lack of support from LG. I contacted the original place of purchase today and explained the issue of no machine for now 18 days with. Result in the near future.they have offered a full refund or a replacement without the assistance of LG. I am replacing my LG wonder machine along with the LG support team with a 12kg Fisher paykel. I would not recommend purchasing anything from LG solely because of the lack of any warranty support.

LG forgot to mention..If you like a sauna/laundry go for it – I purchased this machine after reading all of the reviews and installed it exactly as the manual states in terms of clearances. The machine is marketed as a condensing dryer that is ventless when in actual fact it has a vent located at the rear just below the water points. When running on the dry cycle the vent releases massive amounts of heat and… Read more

moisture direct from the drum to the point that the walls in the laundry all fog up with condensation and begin to trickle down into large puddles! This also includes all over the power point given the vent points toward the wall along side the power lead! I raised this with literally 5 tech support staff on the LG hotline who put me on hold for longer than 30 mins at a time and thats when the phone all of a sudden cuts out hence speaking to the 5 staff. I decided to go down the online chat route who were no help either urging that I would be called back in 24 - 48hrs by a tech support staff.. they never call. This has happened literally over 5 times also. There are no answers only apologies like robots with no care or knowledge about the product to offer actual assistance just someone reading over trouble shooting manuals that have nothing to do with my question despite the repeated request to speak to a tech to answer the simple question of why there is heavily moist air being released from the unit Vent. What is the point of a ventless machine if it discharges hot wet air..its worse than a vented dryer which has the vent at the front and the option of a ducting kit. I have had an LG rep from the store say thats the way the unit is at that capacity 15kg/8kg but thats ridiculous..If thats the case why no steam vent accessory, why point the vent to the back not the front? This machine is designed as per the manual and LG marketing content as a ventless washer dryer With all moisture discharges down the drain and that can be built under a kitchen bench.. The LG service has been astonishingly poor..nowhere does it even reference this type of discharge Nor does any LG staff no about it and have an answer nor is it acceptable given the amount of moisture present. I have a major concern given I am an asthmatic and the potential for mould growth will have adverse impact on my health. This is not acceptable .. buyer beware!!

Reliable and easy to use – Great machine! Clothes come out clean and fresh, the dryer takes some getting used to if you're not used to condenser style dryers but as does the job as long as you don't have the machine too full. Small gripe is have had a small amount of leaking from the door - the seal doesn't seem to be 100% and a little water drips out, annoying but not unmanageable. Happy with the machine. Would recommend.  Show details

Excellent machine when your not constantly repairing it – We’ve had ours for over 1.5 years and it’s a fantastic machine as it washes well and dries fabric to a soft fluffy dryness. However before any wash, make sure there is NOT a single grain of sand (literally) in your washing as it has a potential to sieze the water pump which if your out of warranty is about $250-350 repair. Also after every… Read more

wash you must clean out all lint around the rubber rim and lint filter otherwise the recirculating pump will be clogged with lint and then you have to call a technician to repair $$$$

Then calling the technician themselves takes 2-3 business days.

In the 1.5 years our machine has been inoperable due to pump seizing twice and constantly the recirc pump wheezez cause we do not keep the machine pristine after every wash.

As long as you wash clean clothing with no sand granules and has little to no lint this is a perfect long term machine.

Oh did I mention the door latch fails to lock and start the machine or latch fails to open and you can’t get the washing out!

If you have children and have lots of washing - you’ll be spending more time cleaning this machine than your clothing!

Sure the machine drive has 10 year warranty which is great! But that is far from the main concern when it comes to warranty and faulty parts. Just poor design overall!

I like it – I really like this. We have alot of washing. I mean alot. The dryer and washing machine were both going at the same time before. We were considering getting a bigger laundry to get two separate machines. Lucky we saw this at JB Hi Fi. I was skeptical about this but it does everything we need it to. AND it fits outside into our tiny laundry. It… Read more

Fantastic machine – i have had this machine for 3.5 yrs now, it has done a fantastic job. when we ot this machine i was doing the washing for my elderly mother, which was a LOT of washing, it was her idea to get a combo machine i was reluctant to do so., however, 6-8 queen size sheets, pillow cases etc. in the machine, wash at 95 deg, then dry go out for the day… Read more

No. Just no – I hope you have home insurance, a working smoke detector, an evacuation plan, and/or a working fire extinguisher! We got this in July of 2016 from RT Edwards because they had a great $880 cash back at the time, so bit the bullet and got it. Biggest mistake. Didn't function properly from day one. Lacked functions, took too long to wash, the… Read more

dryer..useless...and then one day....my partner rushed upstairs to wake me up telling me the laundry was full of smoke! To think what could have happened had he not woken up early that day. All courtesy of this $2000 fire hazard!

Was relatively quiet but the only thing it had going for it...there was only 1 or 2 wash settings from memory that allowed you to utilize the 15KG was capacity.

Just useless.

Had it taken away for "Repairs" by RT Edwards the following day 2 weeks went by when they returned it saying there was no issue with it. However, when they returned it the front plastic door had a crack the entire length of the door! Not happy, Jan!

I will never buy an LG product again, nor use RT Edwards.

Domestic washing machine with industrial performance – Very quiet washing machine, no matter how big or small the load. Very good machine for washing heavy blankets and towels. Steam wash is another great option, anyone that has the need to sanitise clothes or bedding will love this feature.

This washing machine would possibly one of the best choices made for our household and we look forward to many years of service from this wonderful machine.

Praise to LG for manufacturing such a great machine. I have used both Maytag and Speed Queen industrial washing machines in the past, this washing machine I believe is on a par with these washing machines.

Very good macine – This machine is really good. It will take a huge load and washes and dries excellent. Love my all-in-one combo – Cleans & rinses very well, the sanitary cycle tends to bleed the black out of dark colours due to the high temp! T can get a bit noisy on a high spin cycle but it's worth it as the clothes are fairly dry. Getting the right dryer sequence is also important or it could be 3 hours plus of drying time. I love he refresh cycle, if clothes have been sitting there forgotten this cycle is worthwhile!!  Show details

Horrible experience – I got this machine for only 2 years (from brand new) and i had to pay for repair 4 times already for blockage! Couldn't believe it and just want to cry. I still got warranty but they said they don't cover blockage! This is horrible, I did nothing wrong but this machine just so easy to get blockage. It never happened to my old machine.  Show details

Rip Off - Doesn't Dry - Truly - Don't Buy – I have a holiday apartment and needed the washer/dryer to wash and dry the apartment bedding and towels so I detailed the load. And continue to leave product reviews everywhere I can.

Refund? Yes please – Hi im disabled and thought a washer dryer combo was the perfect investment. Living in Victoria the weathers always changing. I saw reviews and this lg was high. Not sure why people reviewed badly?!?! – Im not sure why there are so many bad reviews on here regarding the dryer. Its a condenser dryer. Its not meant to ever get your clothes dry like an element dryer! If you didnt know this pre purchase then its your own fault. The dryer cycle uses the air from the hot water to dry clothes. This of course will always leave the clothes with a "damp"… Read more

feeling due to humidity.

After I dry a load i literally take it out and once ive started to put the clothes on their hangers theyre dry! This method is super easy on the clothes so it makes it almost impossible to shrink anything.

Not sure what all the fuss is about as its clearly marketed as a combo and that style of dryer.

All the comments saying they tried to turn the tap off for drying... thats your problem lol.

It sounds very much like people arent very educated in using this type of machine, hence the issues.

I found it works great!

Yea it does have a lint catcher and i never have found any loads with lint in them!

I have had it for nearly 12 months now and my clothes come out smelling and feeling fabulous and havent had an issue.

For a 3.5k machine I decided to purchased the extra warranty so it has 5 years worth as well.

The load capacity complaint also is a standard through out any machine as things like a sanitary load are based on being 100% sanitised hence the weight reccomendation.

Ive had my Super King quilt in this 3 times and its come out perfect every time!

I manage to wash a sanitary load of towels which would be 10kg easy and they come out fully steamed and amazing.

Id purchase it again no issues.

Worst washing machine I have ever had!! – This was a complete waste of money. There is no lint filter so it just goes all over the clothes. the load after washing and done 2 loads of drying and it doesn't make a difference. I still have to get them out and hang them on the line to dry! I have tried doing a tub clean etc, following all the recommendations in the user guide. So devastated as we can't afford to replace the machine, nor should be have to after spending over $3000 for it. This machine should be pulled from the shelves. I submitted this review to the LG site then checked a few days later to make sure it was there and they didn't put my review on and they have pulled all other reviews from the site that were previously placed by people!

Only great things to say – Surprisingly unobtrusive for such a large capacity machine. Looks beautiful and doesn't swamp my small laundry. It isn't noisy at all, those that claim it is too loud, it probably needs the legs balanced properly. I love the variety of cycles and that I can dry them in the same machine straight away. The machine does a 30 minute spin cycle before… Read more

drying begins, so anyone needing a quick dry of a single item, this cannot do it. I generally stay on top of my washing, even more so with such a large beast of a machine now. So I don't mind that drying takes longer. I also find its more gentle with drying than normal single driers. My clothes aren't being damaged by extreme heating. I would highly recommend this. It's well worth the price tag. Just keep in mind it's a different process to drying clothes, longer but gentler.

Not drying at all, so it failed as a washer "dryer" machine – Bought it to replace my smaller older LG washer dryer and it is a huge disappointment when it comes to drying. Even tried running the drying function with the water tap both turned off and still no luck. Logged with… Read more

LG, technician came out and tried to fix three times and at the end told my wife that there is nothing else he can do to fix it and cannot recommend what else to do. As a washer it does the job but it stop there.

So if you are looking to buy a washer and dryer, stay away from this. If you are after a washer only, buy anything else but this. Personally I am staying away from all kind of LG products after this experience.

Waste of money – I bought the 15kg washer/dryer as I was doing 12 loads a week on my trusty 10 yr old top loader which left clothes smelling clean and soft without fabric softner. I am extremely disappointed I spent all this money to buy such a useless machine.I bought it thinking you had 15kg of wash space per cycle and you don't. False advertising. The booklet… Read more

to my horror said heavy duty& sanitary max load - less than 3kg. Allergy care, sports wear, dark wash and Speed wash - less than 5kg and always smells dirty to me, don't go speed. Refresh - I dont recommend for adult clothes. Babys possibly but as a mum with young children there not washed and leaves the washer smelly. Wool - less than 4kg. Duvet- king size, doesn't seem to get wet in spots. With the full maximum loads it is unable to wash properly. With 3 pillows the middle struggles to get a chance to clean. So Cotton and cold wash are the only setting which use maximum load of 15kg. How pathetic not a great efficient machine. With cotton on steam or high temperature it can't wash properly with maximum load of 15kg. Cold wash is not efficient enough to full dissolve all the detergent even when you boil the jug and dissolve the washing powder for which we are only aloud to use and I use Omo sensitive or Radiant sensitive as my kids have allergies. Cotton wash 15kg can use steam but every load on any setting comes out stiff. Towels are like sandpaper, my poor babies clothes all ruined. Everything needs to be turned inside out. Yes whites slowly go grey. Coloureds fade, everything balls. Not enough water enters the machine, it basically bashes the garment as they fall from the top of the machine to the bottom not like the old tubs where garments swish around in the water getting undamaged. And you can't use fabric softner if you plan on using the dryer as it can combust apparently. I want my old machine back. Or a refund. And don't get me started on the dryer. Take my word for it. it gets over hot after 3 loads and smells rubbery all the time which is worrying and I'm still having to spend too much time washing.

Not yet impressed – Hi, I have this washer/dryer combo. I've owned it for 3 weeks and I'm not impressed with the dryer function. The clothes come out wet! Christmas falling during this time and been hectic with house guests but will be doing that this week. I have also noticed the rubber smell during the drying phase that another reviewer has mentioned and my husband commented that this stinks and has noticed this smell in the towels that I had to run through my other dryer to get dry after the LG didn't dry after 2hours on drying cycle.

As for the washing function I have been happy but have noticed that some of the clothes have deteriorated since using this machine. I'm not sure if it's because I've been putting the true steam function to the test and wondering if the heat has damaged some of the fibres in the clothes. I like to use the water fairly warm to hot in my usual top loader (F&P) and it's never damaged my clothes.

This is my first front loader so I think I'm still getting used the time it takes for a wash cycle but I was expecting that and was prepared for this.

I've noticed that you can't use very much detergent at all because I was using a full scoop of front loader powder and noticed that the water was still sudsy during the final rinse which tells me it either isn't rinsing well or I have used too much but I am following recommendations on the box. I had to put one load through a second full wash with no detergent just to make sure there were no suds left in the final rinse. I'm wondering wether this could be the reason that the clothes feel a little stiff and the fibres are matted. With my old top loader I would do a big load of my 3yr olds clothes and mix a few different lighter colours together (never dark with whites) and I have always been able to keep t-shirts white when mixed with lighter colours like yellows and light pinks and light blues and greens but in this machine the whites came out little dull. Again I'm not sure if the water temp and steam could be damaging the fibres but I would like to think that I can continue using warm water and steam as this is the reason for purchasing a machine that could steam and sterilise and I always used warm water (sometimes warm/hot) in my top loader with no problems. I'm a bit of a germ phobic so I like to wash in warm water especially after kids come home from child care or if they've been sick and this machine has a sanitary cycle that heats water to 95 degrees celsius.

During all the wash and rinse cycles there never seems to be much water in the drum. I never actually see much water filling up, just the clothes tumbling around with minimal water.

The drum size is big but when looking at it in comparison to my 8 kg top loader it's not much bigger only that there is no agitator in the middle taking up space. I've realised the reason why they can market machines as bigger capacity is due to the weight ability and not the volume size of the drum.

LG markets these big machines on their websites as being able to accommodate a stack of bed pillows in one load but I've put 3 in there and then removed one because it seemed squishy in there and wondered how they would wash effectively with no room to move in the drum. I have washed one queen size duvet (doona inner) and put 2 pillow protectors and the doona cover in at same time but would not fit much more than that.

Overall the machine is ok but a few things that I'm disappointed with and I'm still getting to know this machine. I will be contacting LG to ask a few questions and will write a follow up review if things change.

since I am only familiar with the LG brand and am used to them having good products we decided to get their 15KG/7.5KG FRONT LOAD WASHER DRYER COMBO WITH TRUESTEAM. What a brilliant machine it is. Never thought it could do both, wash and dry, expected it to leave the clothes wet.. But it didnt. I cannot say how easy the bloody thing is, one machine, pop all in and on your way. So much less work then both machines. I cannot fault this machine at all. I guess if I had to niddle on about it I would pick the slight and I mean slight rubber smell that comes off of it when its in the drying phase. And its barely there. You wont waste your money with this machine, definitely worth it. Brilliant time saver Slight rubber smell when drying
