LG WD12595FD6 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: 35905566I have recently purchased this machine and placed it in my laundry as per the clearance dimensions in the manual yet every time it operates on the dry cycle constant highly moist hot air is discharged from the safety vent at the rear of the the unit (a small white round vent near the water connections). This air causes condensation build up on the rear wall and surrounds, alarmingly also near the power point leaving puddles of water on the floor. This is with the Laundry door open. I thought given the moisture was supposed to go down the drain during the dry cycle and the unit being advertised as ventless it was able to be built into a space following the clearances in the manual but with this type of moist air discharge it doesnt seem possible without major puddles of water on the floor. Is anyone experiencing the same as no one mentions this in their reviews whilst LG comments this is how the unit operates given its size, which doesnt seem right?
Will this machine take a proper 15kg? I like to do all my towels at once (anywhere between 5-7 big fluffy towels). Or sheet sets (doona cover, fitted sheet and pillow cases for 2 king sized beds and 2 double beds?
What's your recommendation for this type of washing?
Cant say I have measured, but definitely a large amount. We have washed a Queen size doona by itself without issues, regularly wash 12-15 normal size bath towels plus some washing, queen winter bed sheet sets per load, and I think a King Summer set should be fine, however depending on how plush your set is, may not fit the Winter set. Like all washing machines, you dont want to fully load it as with this particular machine, it could take 8-10 hours for a complete cycle including drying. Even then, if its full, it may not be fully dry so will need to do an additional dry only cycle. Hope that gives you an indication of its load.
Yes, for sure it will wash them...just don’t expect it to dry them.
I can’t remember from memory what setting, but usually for bedding I use Sanitize on hot.
Hope this helps
3+ hours and doesn't dry??
Yes this is correct. I have never successfully dried anything in this machine!! It doesn't matter if it's has been 3 hours, 6 hours or 9 hours (yes I've tried) and it just doesn't dry. Clothes come out WET!! Still waiting for this company to reply
Yes, apparently I am supposed to take them out immediately once it finished otherwise the steam will settle back to the clothes. And once I removed them I have to air them a bit. This is the advice from the technician. So bottom line is it does not dry like the cheap dryers out there. Silly technology.
I dried cotton clothes usually big shirts of my husband on tumble dry selection. It says in the timer 4 hours but it ended before 4 hours. The manual says it can only dry cotton or usually everyday clothes and it worked.
I have the wd14130fd6 i think it is. My stuff all comes out totally dry and smells great and feels soft!
How long is the speed wash compared to a normal wash?
Hi, depends on how many rinses you select. It's usually 30 minutes standard speed wash with 2 rinses but you can select up to 5 rinses which then makes it up to 1 hour (approximately) the machine always states that its an estimated remaining time so I'm guessing it also calculates time on the weight or volume of clothes as sometimes I've noticed it finish quicker than others on the same cycle. Not really sure if that's the case but it's just my observation.
