Unscrew. Bottom drain plug behind small door. Located at bottom more. Take plug out of drain tube also located in same area
Our WD14030FD won't fill with cold water when cold selected, still uses hot water. Any ideas?
Swap water inlet hoses
Water valve needs replacing
AE error code. Any help?
I recall this code...I think. Leak? Take front-under panel off and there should be water resting on the base. Obviously turn electricity off and disconnect first. Took panels (front under; back panel) off and discovered cracked plastic case around tub. A screw or a coin might have got through. I just attacked it with 2 tubes of silicon over a week. I am not game to use dryer, nor am I game to use high heat wash. This has done the job and I this was 3 months ago.
When I used the machine there is a strong tin-like (metallic) smell. Not only does the smell permeate my apartment but my clothes smell. Has anyone else complained about this? I just bought this machine less than a year ago.
YES! it's like a motor oil smell or something. I find my towels pick up the smell the most. I used a washing machine cleaner and it has lessened the smell.
I have lg wd14030fd when the unit is running it makes a grinding noise from the back of the machine. I assume it's got something to do with the bowl as some of the reviews have stated that it's Rotor problem. Being a direct drive unit does anyone know if this is a warranty repair issue?? or should I just get repair agent out.... Any help would be appreciated
Thanks Jamie
Hi Jamie, it sounds as if your machine has the same problem that ours did. It was a rear bearing assembly and cost around $500 to fix. If it isn't fixed eventually it will leak. We were advised to junk it and buy a be one, but we elected to repair. Not sure if our decision was the best, but we also resolved never to get an LG product again.
Thanks for your reply I'll see how it goes.. Hopefully it's not an expensive fix...
LG has discontinued this washing machine probably because of all the problems people have encountered with it I am just so over it I will never buy another LG product again I wish someone would take them to court over this model its obvious there were huge problems with it by the amount of complaints you read .Mine has been repaired many times and still does not work properly . I am stuck with it I cant afford a new washing machine at the moment I previously owned a Fisher and Paykel top loader and never had a problem with it but silly me thought I would try LG never will I get caught again Fisher and Paykel will be my choice in future why? Because they are the best !
My machine door won't open it's a inverter direct drive 8kg?
They are on a timer so the door won't be opened during either a spin or wash cycle. If you wait a few minutes after a wash has finished, you can open it. If it won't open at all, I suggest LG is worth a call. Worst case, its electronics or its lock mechanism might have failed or be causing trouble. I'm sorry, but that's as far as I can take this issue.
My machine keeps putting a lot of muddy lint all over the dark clothes and sheets. I've cleaned out the filter ran the machine with out clothes in it to clean it but still happening. Any ideas ..?
