Biggest Lemon!!! – Biggest lemon!! 12 months ago the dryer burnt through the drum, Repaired under warranty. It is happening again and 0 F's given by LG!! It is clearly a lemon, Will never purchase LG again! Most unhelpful company ever. They couldn't care at all and now will be lodging a complaint Show details
Excellent machine – Had this machine a few years and surprised to read bad reviews. I purchased this machine after my brother was impressed with his. Neither of us have experienced anything negative with the machine. Clothes are cleaned well and not noticed any bad wear on items. Would purchase LG products again Show details
Refunded and will not purchase LG again – We purchased this machine May 2015. Its functions and price were very good for a washer dryer when it was purchased. It worked OK, before major failure. There were a few things we were not 100% happy with like the writing on the panel wore off and became difficult to read what setting you are selecting, the door leaked water (which was considered… Read more
normal). Drying did take a lot longer than expected. Also, the child lock doesn't stop a child from stitching it off mid-wash.
Those small complaints would have had me rate this a 3 or even 4 star - but then major failure followed by the worst customer service ever encountered with the exception of Optus.
The dryer got slower and slower then finally stopped working. This was due to a cracked manifold which must have just got worse over time. I called LG back in July 2016 to get this sorted, with multiple calls and emails between now and then. I have only just been issued a store credit last week after months of suspense on how they will deal with it. Even LG's independent service company was just as unorganised - they didn't lodge the service report after I watched him complete it. Foreign customer call centre made it harder to communicate with LG. You cant speak with managers or elevate your complaint, in fact they don't even have a complaints department to complain to.
If the service call/replacement unit was handled better, I might have gone with LG again because even after a manufacturing fault you can always redeem yourself. But now after this messing around for 6 months I will not be buying LG as the replacement.
Amazing!! – Edit, After having this machine for 12 months we has it repaired 3 times. Got stuck with a loan machine which gave An AE error (water in the pump), the case filled with water and tripped our safety switch. The loaner was also an lg washer dryer. As of yesterday May 4, 2017 we got a Simpson washer and separately, finally catching up on washing!… Read more
Love this machine! Everything comes out nice and dry, smelling lovely and SO soft!!
I was not sure what to expect after reading mixed reviews but our clothes do not smell of rubber as some reported. The clothes come out nice and dry and fresh so no idea why people say it can not dry clothes!
The allergy wash is brilliant and removes all pet hair which is GREAT!!!
Very quiet machine too.
Wish I had of brought it sooner.
What a lemon! Not even one load cracked barrel – First time used trapped my sons school shirt in machine - code water leak call service. LG sends technician out to tell us cracked barrel at 9 am Monday. Tuesday 4pm 50 minutes mainly on hold to offshore service centre to be told no service report yet - can't say when you will get a replacement machine. Repeatedly told it takes time for this… Read more
process and refused to put me through to a supervisor by putting me on hold for 23 minutes then 12 minutes. Not good enough. $1200 - 8.5 kg washer 4 kg dryer
negative one million stars – Dont buy this machine!! Totally turned off from lg. No longer going to purchase from them. Service is non-existent. They just send you going around in circles and dont listen to a word you say, even though you show damaged/torn items to their face! Yes, this machine has damaged several items of varying types/fabrics including cotton. It… Read more
has caused excessive pilling - brand new items that i thought couldnt ever pill, did. Machine doesnt clean properly and all lint and loose debris ends up all over clothes and doesnt get flushed away. I checked the filters and nothing even makes it there. I have tried using different detergents, using different amounts of detergents, using different cycles and using garment bags to no avail. Had to kick up a stink to get a lg technician to come take a look. He pretty much ignored everything i told and showed him, ran his diagnostic tests via mobile, told me to use the cotton cycle and left. Spoke to nsw fairtrading, they said we have a right to seek remedy from supplier. Supplier equally unhelpful.
Now have to take things further with fair trading nsw. Many other annoying bumps along the way for this stupid machine, just can't be bothered mentioning. Just wanted to save you guys the hassle. If i can help anyone out there from going through this stressful process. I am pregnant and this drama can't be good for my baby or any other ladies out there that might get caught in my situation. Turned off from this supposed new "high efficient" technology too. Doesn't fully submerge clothes in water, which i think is part to blame for why its so rough on our items.
