Liebherr SBSes 7273 - Sensor Failures – Liebherr SBSes 7273 Hi all, I purchased this side by side model some 5 years ago. For nearly 3 years it worked as it should but then the problems started with the freezer side. This was resolved by replacing the 2 sensors. Worked fine for 6 months but then the fridge side started playing up. It started to defrost erratically, usually at night and the waste water tray always overflowed soaking my oak floor. It seems that the 5 sensors in the fridge area are the same as the freezer side and at least 2 are not working correctly. Hence I would be a fool not to replace all 5 giving the sensors track record. If you tap in Liebherr refrigerator sensor in google you find every one but the tax man is selling them. So liebherr know they have a poor sensor problem or 7 in my case but have not put their hand up and acknowledged the fact because they just last out the warranty and us suckers are left with 4-5K piece of trash. We all know the length of the warranty but we all expect an expensive piece of kit to last 5-10 years like all the fridge/freezer cheaper predecessors have done. So anyone out there with erratic happenings with your expensive fridge freezer, it is 95% certain to be one of the 7 (CHEAP) sensors starting to fail, best change all 7 in bulk because you won't know when the next one will fail. How does my review not apply? Do Australians buy a different product? Surely if the product has problems then people need to know where ever you sell it. It would be more helpful if you could comment on the failing sensors you are putting in to your products. Contacting Liebherr in the UK! would be easier to get an appointment with the queen. Liebherr is the hardest white goods products to get support on.

Hi Peter, This is an Australian Product Review site and we (Andi-Co Australia) monitor this site for the Liebherr product we distribute in Australia only. As you can see from the top of this page, this model is discontinued in Australia.
I suggest you take up your concerns with Liebherr in Germany or the distributor/retailer you purchased the product from in the UK.
I appreciate your view point and frustration for the product you have purchased but this channel will not assist you with your concerns as we are not Liebherr, we are Andi-Co the Australian distributor for the product.

I have now changed all 4 sensors from the refrigerator side, evaporator, air, biofresh air, biofresh plus air. For 6 weeks the refrigerator has worked as it should. Each sensor is the same, about £25 each but you need to cut them from the plug and join them. Best if you have heatshrink to cover after joining. I actually soldered and heatshrunk them on the bench, which was easy for me as i am an electrical engineer. I hope this helps a few people.
Ice maker has had to be replaced over 5 times – Since purchasing our new fridge less than 12 months ago, the ice maker has worked at most for 3 weeks. We have had the service people attend more than 5 times, either replacing the part and trying to fix it. New parts each take about 5 weeks to be delivered. Very, very dissappointed as we really wanted a fridge/freezer with ice/water combination. Last effort with replacement parts it lasted 3 days only and the complete ice making tray has fallen apart. We have had enough!

Thank you Andi Co. The completely new freezer arrived and has now been working well for 4 months. We do like the product however you must agree that the original must have had something wrong internally. Anyway hopefully trouble free now Regards Noel & Angela

Please do not buy – This has got to be one of the worst fridges in terms of performance and price tag. The fridge arrived damaged and had to be replaced. Then the valve needed to be replaced as the water dispenser was leaking constantly - up to 400ml every 2 hours. The part took 2 weeks to arrive. Then the water tank developed a crack and both water tanks need to be replaced - another week. The fridge door has broken and is held together with plastic which does not align with a $9000 fridge. The supplier Andico is refusing
to replace the fridge as we believe we have a lemon. The fridge was $9000 and is 3 months old. Recommend
very strongly that you don't buy this fridge and do not deal with Andico who will not assist you.
