Awful alarm quality for the price - and I'm not the only one here – One of the buttons didn't work from brand new (even after spraying with contact cleaner), which knocked out one of the alarms (at least the other one worked), plus couldn't turn down the very average radio (and therefore radio alarm) lower than midway! Used Blu Tack over the speaker. I thought there was a man in these Chinese factories that… Read more
tested each item and stuck on a 'Passed' sticker showing his number. Obviously I'm living in the past. For $5 it would be bad enough, but for nearly $30 from Big W a real dud.
Do not buy!
Efficient everyday clock – Whilw I often listen to FM radio, I wasn't expecting the sound to be lower quality than my old alarm clock (I understand it's not fussed by others). A positive difference was this clock was good value - it's compact, efficient and I liked the LED brightness function. Lives up to the description and will hopefully settle for years. Show details
Not 100% Reliable – A few issues, the first was losing time during power outs after installing a fresh set of batteries. The time lost on resumption of normal power was only a fraction of the time of the blackout, but noticeable. The batteries were changed, still the same issue after a blackout. The second was with the controls in setting the time and date, initially… Read more
the mode or date/set button did not respond in every instance. Since then, they seem to work as advertised. The third is one of the LED lights has ceased to function after around two years of operation. Fortunately, the missing bar in the attached image is from the "3". These things do happen over time, of course, for such a product it's more likely to occur after ten years at least. The operation of the controls on the unit can be finicky, for example pressing the snooze button even when the alarm has never been set initiates an 9 minute eternal snooze loop which can't be cancelled unless the mode button is reset. Pressing certain buttons "out of sequence" can also result in the flashing of undecipherable error codes. Haven't tried the charging facility yet, will post back if any issues. Otherwise, the Liquid Ears (that logo nowhere on product - model number is LEFMW) is a pretty nice unit.
Ideal for bedside – The clock radio is perfect for bedside . A M radio is still very much listened to in this household ....now can be listened to in bed Show details
A great Product from Liquid Ears – Having searched for a dual alarm clock radio with both FM and AM radio connectivity to meet our existing listening habit, and finding that such products seem to be generally unavailable from the major retailers specialising in electronic products, with the more expensive models only suited to DAB and FM station broadcasts, I purchased a Liquid… Read more
Ears Duel Alarm Clock Radio as a last resort. Not only was I impressed with the simplicity of programming this product to local stations and setting the time with ease, I found the product to be unaffected in operation by nearby electronic wiring and equipment, something which impacted us with earlier model alarm clocks. Our intention is to buy additional clocks for use in our other bedrooms.
Excellent Product – I was amazed at how easy it was to operate and use. Both my husband and I are extremely happy Show details
