Fantastic machine. I make 2-3 doses of Stracciatella ice-cream one after the other and never had any issue. Always on my bench for quick, tasty and healthy ice-cream. Super silent too. Show details

Excellent, Well Worth the Money

I love it. I have used the Ice Cream function to make ice cream and dairy free sorbet - it works perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints and love how easy it is to use. Show details

Good domestic gelato maker

Love the in-built freezer for making ice cream on the day, but you still need to pre-chill mixture. Easy to clean with removable bowl. Noticed it does not have the same texture if stored frozen (especially sorbet) versus fresh. Can have uneven freezing in mixture. But good enough for domestic use. I have not tested how long it will stay cold in machine. I trust the Magimix brand to be reliable and last. Show details

Looking forward to having a taste!

This was a Christmas present for my daughter and her family. My grand daughters have enjoyed making and eating raspberry, lemon and stracciatella sorbets so far. Show details

Transitioning to my Magimix Gelato Icecream Maker from my decades older mini hand model Donvier

A great step up in efficiency and convenience and the offer of a free scale to measure additions to gelato is a great idea. I am currently investing in a convenient location specific storage solution to make the usage more convenient. Show details

Its Sorbet time all the time!

We recently purchased our Magimix Gelato Expert. Couldn't wait to try it out. First was the lemon sorbet. Machine just purred its sooo quiet. The finished product a tad too moist, but well worth the wait to taste the lemon zing. Next the light vanilla Ice cream - When done tasted so delicious. Left it on whilst we ate dinner. OOOps it had become a bit too buttery creamy in taste from the churns. Would suggest it can take a bit of getting used to and patience to try a few recipes to get the hang of it. Enjoy your new best friend. Show details

Great machine awesome icecreams

The machine works exactly as it should. I find it easy to use and clean. We love it. Yes it’s expensive but I have tried cheaper machines in the past and they don’t compare. Easy or difficult recipes very easy to use and you great results whether it be ice-cream, sorbet or gelato. Would definitely recommend. Show details

Love this ice-cream maker

I would highly recommend this machine. Yes, it is expensive, but the expense is worth the end product. I have not had one failure yet. I'm also impressed by how quick it is. I usually start churning just before we start dinner and by the time we have finished, the ice cream is ready. It is also very easy to clean and doesn't take up a huge amount of bench space. Our next task is to try to make Margarita cocktails. Show details

how much does it cost for the ingredients to make 4 litres of ice cream ? Would I need 4 litres of milk ?

How can you justify the price of this ? A year of store bought ice cream 4 litres a week would cost $10.00 ?
So I would have to make 4litres a week for 2 and a half years to get back the price alone.............................thats a lot of ice cream and I guess I would not buy it every week or maybe not even in winter so I am having trouble justifying the price ,does it come on special ?

Do you need to add the alcohol each time you make a batch,as this will use a good amount ,can you just leave it in bottom a few makes

Gordana T.
Gordana T.

Hi Suzanne. I have not had to add alcohol in between batches. When I finished using it for the day, it would be cleaned up.

suzanne lehman

So you only use it once ever then when you make it again don’t have to add to bowl again

Susan McEniry

I understand that the alcohol helps with the freezing process . Page 30 in the manual advises to wipe out the fixed bowl when finished to avoid corrosion.
