Wow, what a game changer to home ice cream. The Ninja Swirl is a family event. Creating your own flavours, adding extra ingredients to boost your experience. It’s tasty and fun. There is a difference between the Ninja Swirl and the Ninja Creami. Yes, the swirl has the best of both worlds. Both soft serve and scoop ice cream. The Creami, simply is scoop. Do they both have the same process - yes until you use the swirl (model # NC701ANZ) this is the added bonus of the soft serve and scoop. General descriptions are online so I won’t reiterate.

Using the swirl, does take a few trials. A good hint is also try a few times in your own comfort before showing your guests what a tasting ice cream they will enjoy. After the process of freezing overnight, (this may also depend on your freezer. Ours will have the mixture frozen within 4 hrs) firstly, you will need to blitz as per required time, make sure it is a smooth consistency (may need x 2 blitz) then simply transfer to swirl side using required cover. Make sure the cover is closed correctly and clicked into place. Pull the handle down, wait a second to be pushed forward leaving you with testing skills of all in the wrist of a store bought presentation.

If not using the whole container, you can refreeze by placing the supplied lid. A hint on reuse, besides re blitzing, wash the spout so there will not be any blockage when the swirl is pushing itself out.

Now tot the cleaning. Many online videos will show you how easy it is to clean. In reality you need to clean within the crevices. I use a wooden skewer to assist. Somewhere along the line, ice cream finds its way into the crevices, especially when having to eject the swirl. Sadly too, the swirl can only expel so much of the ice cream and there will be some still in the canister. Simply enjoy with a spoon.

Again, as with the Ninja products, this needs quite a reasonable bench space and if placing in the cupboard take not of the measurements.

Pro : mouth watering ice cream and individual creations

Con : to date, the canister size are standard. Would have liked the choice of adding the Ninja Deluxe Creami. Can purchase more canisters for wider range of prep flavours.

Sorry, no photos of final results. My family too busy indulging :)
