People should recognize that USA chainsaws and such are cutting soft woods, not Aussie hardwoods....vast difference.

What is the difference between a DUC252 and a DUC 252Z chainsaw?

The Z means it is just the tool or skin - no batteries are included. I found out by googling for the meaning of Makita product code letters. This use of the Z is used with their drill skins too.
