How do I access the battery, Masport 1000 58v
masport 58vlt 450 series 18 rechargeable mower, its pulsating in the upright position on the ground but if I turn the key off and on again and lay it on its left hand side it will run ok , iv checked all the wiring iv removed the blade and the motor from the mower its self and then opened it up and checked all wiring inside and in in this stripped state I powered it up and it ran fine ( without blade) , I then put it all back together and it f,n pulsates again ( blade back on ) and the blade brake doesn't engage every time
I have a 2015 model masport President 4000, 675 EX series. Fabulous mower. Unfortunately the battery pack is on the way out. Is there any possibility of getting a replacement for this model?
Bought our mower in 2021, the battery was faulty so the shop where we bought it gave us another battery in 2023. ATM the battery is 3/4 charged, won't charge anymore and the mower won't start. If we need a new battery this will be the 3rd in 4 years, at $220 each we could have bought a petrol mower which would still be going strong. I'm so over this mower!!!

Mower is charged according to the green lights. Starts for a couple seconds, then stops. Still appears charged. Beeping sound can be heard. Has had on and off connection problems where it seems charged but won't start, I leave it for a couple weeks then it will start. Strange. I have taken it back to the shop before and been embarrassed when they start it first time there. Starter is fully turned, but maybe it moves when started?

I charge the mower up fully until the green light comes on the transformer,then I unplug the transformer. Plug in the starter plug and the mower will not start.
Make double sure the starter plug is properly engaged Stephen, with a firm hand. Also when starting do in the correct order. Push and hold the Red button on mower arm as you then pull the starter on handle towards you. Once started release Red button. I have been caught out myself on both counts.

I didn't use my scarifier for 12 months Now the battery won't charge. Any hints
I'm assuming you have a separate charger and that it is showing signs of life when the power is turned on, which means that the battery has "died". There are some youtube vids on this topic (make sure you're looking up vids for the right battery chemistry) that can help bring back some life in a rechargeable battery that has "depolarised" / internally shorted out, but unfortunately it is likely that the battery will need to be replaced. My battery had "deactivated" unfortunately I cldnt reactivate it myself. I got in contact with Masport via phone (surprisingly quite quick and painless). Pending where you bought it- I was advised to take it back to where I bought it (which was Bunnings) or Stihl to have it reactivated. Luckily my battery was done under warranty, so I can't advise you of the cost.
Masport Electric T350 mower motor works, but the blade is not turning. I could not open from top or bottom to identify the transmission fault. It looks like the axle s press fit motor/transmission assembly. Direct drive with possible a gear pair? Warn gears? Anybody had similar problem? How to fix it?

On the Masport 3000 Electric Start. Do you remove the Battery after the mower is running or leave it in the mower whilst moving?

I’d buy another brand, they don’t like moisture and warranty or not masport will screw you over and not honor anything
Masport 42V battery won't charge after use. Charger light is permanently red. Eventually will charge after removing and reinserting many times

I am having same problem as Steve with this model. I bought a second battery as back up a year ago with no problems but would really like to see why first one refuses to charge fully- all green lights indicate charge but remains with a red error flashing on the charger. is there anything I can do?
just purchased new masport 42 v used once worked well, but now only going for 5 seconds and cutting out. I presume the red connection button is disconnecting..
Hopefully you didn't mow moist grass the first time, they don't like moisture and masport wont honor the warranty
I had basically the same problem Michael. I returned the mower to where I purchased it and they told me that they had problems with the battery and they happily replaced the battery and it is fine now.

I have had battery problems with Masport too. They replaced the original battery but now the new one is not lasting. The charger shows charging complete but I am wondering if there is a problem with it and not the battery. How can I check the charger?

This is a pattern. As is Masport's "we're sorry to hear you are having a problem". Anyone who bought the 48V EnergyFlex Mower system will be having a problem where the batteries refuse to charge fully with a red error flashing on the charger, because the batteries are crap. Masport technical support is not technical support at all, they simply send you more crap batteries until the warranty runs out and then you are on your own.
Appalling conduct by Masport. This product should NOT have been sold AS IT IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE: it is what is known as a lemon. $500 of mower (if you bought it at a discount) with a battery that lasts about 10 backyard mows and then refuses to charge and costs $300 retail to replace.
Thieves. I have zero tolerance for being taken for a fool. A once respectable company now ripping off consumers by selling untested electrical appliance garbage.
Masport electric mower ( corded). Haven't used mower for a long time (couple of years?) Can't start it. Extension cords are working. ( Tested). Cleaned out underneath the mower. Still won't start.

Hi Remove motor from mower 2 hidden screws that you cant get to while its fitted to mower, and the 4 small screws under cowling front back, covers comes apart simple, if you know

I have not had a problem with mine in 5 years, maybe contact Masport direct. My mower, though, is full electric, not battery.
Just bought one Norm, but haven't received it yet. Neighbour thinks it's a mistake as she had one. But don't know what wattage or brand. Any tips for keeping it going for so long without any issues? Maintenance etc?
Mower (lithium battery charger) wont charge properly. The charger reads as fully charged,but it isn't and the mower wont start. Tester doesn't tell us anything re charged amount Mower only used once. Any help would be appreciated. Sue.
Hi Sue, I had this happen one time only. I removed/turned that ignition key thing, took the battery out and reseated it in the mower, and then it started. It's happened only one time.
