Any idea of the kW and HP it produces?

DavidN

As per the name it is supposed to be 6HP (without load I imagine) which converts to 4.47kW. Anyway, don't believe in the published numbers. From my experience, it has plenty of power. Of course that depends on the condition of the engine - well looked after engine hence plenty of compression.

Thank you. Wow that was super quick. I’m just trying to get a bit of info on this engine to sell and this is the only website that has any info. Thanks again.

Is it still possible for me to obtain an "Owner's Manual" for the "Quantam" XTS 60 and if so, how & from where " ??? My next door neighbour left it for me when he moved interstate! My email address is: mikegoldman @ hotmail.com. I eagerly await (a" "positive" response at your earliest opportunity!!! THanks & Kindest Regards,. Mike Goldman

Most likely what you need is the Briggs and Stratton Quantum XTS-60 engine manual, not so much the masport manual unless you need to repair wheels or instruction for removing blade, etc. Anyway, the engine manual isn't easy to get anymore I think. Here are instructions but Briggs and Stratton website won't return anything. They contacting Briggs and Stratton if you can. There are plenty of Briggs and Stratton youtube videos that might give you lots of help too depending on what you are trying to do.

Do you have any specific question?

how do u change the oil .and replace blades. have just bought this mower second hand good condition

DavidN
DavidN

Oil change is simple through tipping the mower upside down to allow oil to drain out. Blade is a single long blade with a hex but in the middle? I found it very hard to remove that without air tool and the right tool, especially if theres build up of dirt on it or rust on the blade where the nut is. Don't do it without the right too and risk wearing out the head. If you just bought it, suggest taking it to a shop for service at least just this one time so they can give it a good proper service, clean, etc and perhaps even a new blade. It will cost more money but may feel like new after. If you want to save on that then consider sharpening the blade instead with a metal file.
