I’m not sure how easy it would have been to install as we had it done at BB.
Extremely happy with it !!! – The seat itself is really good and easy to deal with. Super easy to move from car to car, safe and my daughter is always happy to go on it so that must say something. I cannot recommend maxi cosi enough! – When I was pregnant I did so much research into the best capsule as I wanted to keep my son as safe as possible as I was a new p plater driver and a new mum. technology it was a no brainer this was the one. I had a little issue after I had a car accident with the car seat as I didn’t remove it and the cool air did get to it. I should have removed it but I wasn’t thinking at the time and unfortunately it did go a bit gross as I left two chips my son was eating it it whoopsie! The maxi cosi customer service team was amazing with absolutely no issue lovely Michelle sent me out a replacement free or charge to ensure my son is safe in his car seat! This phone call took no longer than 5 minutes! Thank you so much. I will never go anywhere else and will rave about you guys to everyone!

this is the perfect car seat!!! i would NOT look at anything else – my child sits comfortably in this seat and we have been on long drives such as interstate roadtrips. my child likes this car seat and hasn't complained about it. the car seat has its own liner for newborns and was perfect for little babies. the seat is not heavy and is very easy to attach and install. Safe! – Liked the seat. Easy to use! Straps twisted but the service I got from maxi cosi was outstanding! Replaced the seat for me. No hesitancy in recommending this product to mums to be!

the Air Protect in the headrest as well as the GCell side impact technology, which gives us peace of mind knowing that he well protected. Amazingly compact in its design and is SO easy to use. Fabric is comfortable and they use cool wicking fabric which will keep our little man cooler, especially living in Cairns. Even though he is currently in the rearward position, we were impressed with how easy it is to recline the seat. When it comes time to forward face him, we can recline it without having to make any adjustments to the tether strap or isofix/seatbelt fitment. Magnetic buttons to hold the harness in place – BONUS, making it easier for us to put him back in the seat. Love our Maxi Cosi and I know you will love it too.
Nice look... But not without faults – It appears nicely designed, with all the required buttons and levers easily accessible, but is functionally is less than desirable. But there are a couple issues that are immediately apparent... > Very limited reclining while reverse facing (much less than my previous Maxi Cosi Euro NXT). The magnetic harness holder is an absolute joke and really should not be listed as a feature. (The magnet is VERY weak) > Almost impossible to get my child in and out. Because of lacking reclining the anchor strap leaves no room between it and the top of the door.
With that said, I do like the seat as for my 10month baby looks very comfortable (once in) and maybe I'm a large SUV there would be more room to maneuver her in. Also the base is nice as it has no Sharpe ends to damage the car seat.
Not good for rear seats with an incline - baby head slumps – We bought this as it is a compact seat with great technology, supported by great reviews. airways are fragile, and their head heavy for their weak necks. Any other incline at rear facing will only exacerbate the issue.
Speaking with Maxi Cosi support team, they do not recommend propping the seat with anything (eg towel) to level the rear seat. They advised to check the straps, remove head support cushions etc. and get the installer to check. We’ve done all that.
Ultimately, it’s a good product that just doesn’t work for us, presumably many others who may have rear car seats that dip. Please check how it fits in your car before you commit the purchase.
Statement from Maxi Cosi support team, when asked which models have built in adjustable pedestal to level the car seat...
“The only seat that has any extra leveling block in our seats is the Maxi Cosi Mico AP & Mico Plus capsule base. All of our other seats do not have a leveling block.”
