I could see only the whole fabric replacement at a decent cost for sale as a spare part (which in itself is great as some places don't even provide replacement parts at all. This car seat ticked all my boxes! – Very happy with my purchase. Haven't been able to try the seat out as bub isn't born yet. I am extremely please with the design as my biggest concerns were overheating, secondary to bubs posture. many things that led my to choose this car seat for my child. The bamboo fabric was a must. Having baby facing reward for longer. So many excellent features. I also love the compact design. Although I have a large sedan I also have two young adult sons and its nice to know that they can still fit in the car comfortably enough with the baby seat, not that that happens too often these days. If I can, I will update when we get to try out the seat with our new baby.

Update: Bub loves it (almost 8 weeks old). We can easily fit adults in the back of the Falcon with the seat in the middle. I'm absolutely loving the strap design.

Initially happy customer but – *Update - 9/12/24* Since posting my initial review approximately 7months ago, I have some things I wanted to add that I've discovered through user experience. twice now and when putting it back on this past few days I've noticed that the material is very pilled and has multiple Snags and pulls in the fabric. I am disappointed because we are very careful and take care of our things but ultimately this is a childrens carseat and will be used daily at the least and it's just not holding up to that daily use. I foresee I would need to replace the covers in due course. Also I really need to point out just how incredibly difficult this seat is to reinstall the covers onto. It took my husband and I close to 2hrs to put the covers back on the whole seat which is just absolutely unbelievable and honestly was so stressful, I have also had multiple other people tell me it takes them hours to reinstall the covers so it's a common issue with this seat. Additionally I find it really poorly designed that there are long "wings" which extend down from the head rest cover area and side covers down into the actual base of the seat area and consequently our toddler had a toilet accident and thus soaked through literally every connected component and meant that for a simple urine leak I needed to remove and launder the head rest cover which to me seems senseless. Ultimately this seat is still structurally good, however I do find my toddler gets chin to chest when he does occasionally fall asleep in the carseat regardless of fit checking and adjustments and given the issues I've outlined in this update I absolutely would not repurchase this seat or purchase a second one. For the price of this seat there are a lot of areas for improvement and hopefully maxi cosi can start to take some of these issues into consideration with future seat development and design. ***

I chose this seat after we had a car accident and I previously had a britax graphene seat which was okay but I felt like I wanted a change. I chose the pria as it was very well regarded and I liked the idea of the smart tether guide to help with preventing both forgetting to tighten the tether again before driving as well as just being more convenient. My 19month old seems comfortable in the seat and there seems to be more room behind the front seat which is a bonus as we have a small car. The smart tether is fantastic and I can’t fault the ease of install for this seat. I like the additional recline options which will be fabulous for a newborn and I intend to purchase a 2nd pria for our next baby when the time comes do to how easy the seats are to use. I have found the fabric to be very very sensitive to things catching on it, for example my son wears Velcro strap shoes and these have already caused multiple pulls in the fabric of the seat which is a shame as this wasn’t an issue in our previous seat and this seat is much more costly so I would have expected more longevity for the fabric. This doesn’t affect the use, it just is an aesthetic issue. Overall this seat is a great choice and I feel happy with my decision to purchase it.

The quality and new features of the Maxi Cosi Pria LX G-Cell are amazing and like no other I have seen before and I have had a lot of car seats over the last 21 years straight with 7 children aged from 21 years old to 8 months old.

Quality features for me that stood out to me were..

* the built in rebound bar and the smart lock belt system that is cleverly positioned under the seat in its own little compartment which I think is a great idea not only for safety but also comfort.

* The smart guide top tether routing system which makes it so much easier, comfortable and less awkward getting baby in and out of seat. Finally someone came up with a safe solution to this issue after all these years, thank you Maxi Cosi.

* The air vents are amazing and an excellent idea for keeping baby comfortable and help prevent baby overheating and sweating as they can tend to do quite quickly and easily in some seats.

* The Maxi Cosi Pria LX G-Cell would have to be the best car seat I have ever seen. It looks and feels super safe and comfortable and it feels so stable and secure and doesn’t move around like some seats can no matter what you do to install them. Maxi Cosi also have great installation videos to show how to correctly install the seat.

* Super easy hassle free harness and headrest adjustment, no rethreading straps or removing seat and in my opinion, superior to other seats that have this option. Great for ensuring correct fit each time you buckle your growing child in. This would also be the perfect option for those who may have different children that need to use the seat like for grandparents or daycare workers ect.

* The quality and comfort of the design, fabric, padding and the shell is amazing and has the backed approval of a fussy but now happy and content baby. Happy baby= happy Mummy and a more enjoyable car drive for all, with the addition of added piece of mind knowing you have chosen a quality, safe car seat for your baby.

* Maxi Cosi also have the best warranty for their car seats that double some other brands but I don’t think you would ever need it. I also have 2x 2019 Maxi Cosi Luna Pros and they still look and feel like new.

I absolutely love this car seat and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to buy it, you will not be disappointed.

After trying so many different brands and car seats I now insist on Maxi Cosi, whether it be capsules, convertible car seats or booster seats it’s Maxi Cosi only for my children.

And last but not least the customer service is outstanding. Staff are super friendly, helpful, informative and seem to be happy to answer any questions you have.

Just a good seat – We have 2 Pria car seats, one for each car. We have had a great experience with our child who is pretty happy and also sleeps in the car easily. Compact and comfortable – Really great car seat. It’s compact and cosy, keeping my newborn nice and snug in the infant insert, but still plenty of room now that baby is bigger and we’ve removed the extra padding. to get baby in and out and then remember to tighten it again. The only thing that would make this better is if maxi cosi offered their isofix options in Australia. When we replace the spare car seat with one of our own, we are genuinely considering another brand because isofix is so much simpler to use.

There is only one thing I’m not happy with. The leg buckle padding doesn’t stay in place. Every-time I would lift my child out, the padding would come out. Very annoying.

Great seat – I bought this car seat for my second born as it is more compact and can comfortably fit three across the back seat. I wish I was aware of this brand when I purchased a car seat for my first born. maxi cosi over other brands. I will certainly be investing in another Maxi Cosi for my next baby. The dropped anchoring strap on one side of the seat makes it so much easier to get baby in and out of the car.

Highly Recommend! – Absolutely love the Maxi Cosi Pria. Found it very easy to install following the provided instructions. Also find it very easy to adjust as baby grows.
