Fantastic Seat! Highly recommend! – Absolutely love this seat! My son is comfortable and it's so easy to move around and use. We also purchased another brand and returned it as this seat makes the rest look sub par. We now have three of these and wouldn't purchase anything else! Show details · 1
Absolutely love it – I have had this seat for over a year and it is one of the best seats I've had my son is super comfortable in it and I love the cocoon look making me feel like bub is extremely safe in the seat, it's super easy to install I'm so sad it's now discontinued as I would have loved to get another for when I have another baby Show details · 1
Reasonable seat but inserts not durable – We bought one of these for each car because they are meant to be the best seats you can buy (safest and easiest to use). One seat is 7 months old and the other is 2 months old. The seat is easy to install by following the instructions on it. We bought the isofix version. The seat is comfortable enough and our baby has travelled long distances… Read more
and slept for a lot of it. It doesn’t breathe enough for our baby because they always eventually get a sweaty back and head in it even with the air conditioning on, tinted windows and window shade. The MaxiCosi capsule was a lot worse for overheating so got our baby out of it within 3 months.
The 7 month old seat has had its lining washed once before.
The photo shows what happened to the 7 month old insert after a delicate machine wash in our Bosch HomeProfessional using Softly. I only listed the machine and detergent to show that it’s meant to be one of the better machines you can buy and the detergent is not harsh. That was it’s second wash. I think that’s poor performance for what is meant to be a premium product that is meant to have machine washable inserts.
I was hoping to get 3-4 years out of the seat. Our baby is well behaved and not messy. The inserts probably won’t last with the way it is going and that doesn’t make it good value-for-money.

Great Car Seat – When picking a car seat for our first son I was so overwhelmed with al the options on the market. I wanted something that in worse case scenario would aid in keeping my son safe. We saw this brand at the pregnancy expo and decided to have a look at them. They are sturdy yet comfortable looking , great cushion options for smaller babies and… Read more · 1
removable parts for older. The sides being larger gives me comfort knowing there is additionals upport ont eh sides of the car seat from any impacts. Great for newborns and toddlers rear facing until they are old enough and big enough for forward facing.
PRO- - good safety features - good for extended rear facing - Forward facing - newborn up - nice colours - easy to adjust - ISOFix - easy to install yourself - Cleaning easy enough once you figure out where all the parts go
CONS- - bulky if you have a small car (measure before buying if it will fit in your back seat when they are rear facing and a toddler - if you need more than one car seat you may not get any other room in the back seat - Price
overall no complaints both my Husband and I have this in each of our cars and when we have another child we will get the same one. very happy with this selection.
Exactly what we wanted! – We bought our car seat based on the fact it had one of the best safety ratings and we live in country NSW and its perfect! We needed a car seat that would: - handle rough terrain as we have 15mins of rough dirt road to get to our house and the rest is country roads where wildlife, stock and all sorts of things jump out at you. - we were… Read more · 1
expecting a large and tall baby so the car seat needed to fit him for the correct amount of time, and hopefully longer as rear facing is better.
The car seat has met our priorities and more, the seat itself is plush and bubs falls asleep as soon as the car starts moving, barely stirring no matter what terrain we drive over. He was also large and tall the the seat is extendable but still comfortable for him and will definitely get him past the 6 months rear facing and hopefully for a fair amount of time after that. Its super easy to adjust and the instruction manual is easy to follow. It is a large car seat but fits comfortable in my RAV4 and can be fairly warm but we make sure the air con is on on hot days and we live in a cold climate so it isn't so much of an issue for most of the year.
For us its worth it for all the safety benefits and we are about to purchase another one for our second car!
High Safety and Quality, high price, minor flaws – We are first time parents so we researched as we wanted the BEST and SAFEST car for our baby! We decided on this car seat and it was given to us as a gift from a family member. We live the light bamboo material, style, quality and safety features of the seat. The shoulder and buckle padding is a bit bulky for a small new born and had to be removed… Read more · 1
to get a snug and safe fit for our little girl. We also love the strap holders so you don’t twist them and don’t have to mess around fishing them out from under baby. All features are easy to use and make adjustments. The only downsides to this seat is the shear size of it and the isofix points. The seat fit perfectly into our new 2018 Toyota Camry with plenty of leg room for the passenger, this would not fit into small cars! We were excited about the isofix capability, but unfortunately as this car seat has such a wide base, the isofix points could not be installed properly or safely into our Toyota Camry which was quite disappointing. Seat is quite expensive but we managed to get it on sale at a reasonable price. Overall great seat and we will be buying another when baby number 2 comes. Just a couple minor flaws that we can look past.

Very comfortable car seat – We loved this car seat so much, it was very comfortable and the kids never complained getting into it. It was sturdy and well made. I would highly recommend it. Show details · 1
Best Car seat yet!! – Hands-Down the best car seat we've had so far. Purchased in 2017 for our newborn who is now 3 1/2 yrs. So easy to install, easy to clean and it is really comfortable for our 3 1/2 year old. We have 2 older children, so we've been through a few other seats in the past. Love the added peace of mind of the Side Impact Support Cusions. Yes its more… Read more · 1
expensive than others, but you get what you pay for with this one. I have the Maxi guard Pro in my other vehicle, also a great seat, definately on par with this one.
Excellent car seat – Its great, very well made and easy to install with isofix. Haven't removed it since installation yet. My baby seems to be very comfortable and falls asleep very well. Bit pricey than other brands but happy with the product. Show details · 1

Watch out if you have a station wagon or sedan think about buying this seat!! – Hello all, I am writing this with regard to my Britax Car seat Platinum pro purchase and installation I tried installing this car seat and have few things to say. Firstly, the installation was a bit hard to do ourselves with ISO fix, which is still fine we can pay and get it installed outside. But the worst thing was the extension which goes… Read more
backside the car seat was too short for the rear-facing position of the seat for newborns. I know every car is different, but the default tether strap provided with the car seat is too small. It very obvious that the strap hooking point to install the rear-facing would be either back of the car seat or at the bottom close to the seat( Jeep Grand Cherokee has it behind the seat and not at the backside on the actual seat. But Britax design has made the tether strap short and for my car, it is short by 3 CMS, I informed Britax about the design and they said I might need to buy an additional extension which costs $30 for a 30 CMS strap. (why is it priced so much, for 3cms short we must buy another product, why can't company send include as a part of the car seat). So I feel this is intentional and rip off.
My question was when you have a place to store the strap within the car seat why was default strap made short, is that just to sell the additional extensional strap. The newborn will hardly be seated in that position later anyways we must go with forward-facing.
If your car hooking point is at the back of the seat then its fine else be ready to spend another $30 for their design issues.

Great carseat but Thermo5 doesn't do anything - not a 'cool' fabric – We've been using this carseat for 9 months now and I like how safe it is and that its extended rear facing however the thermo5 fabric really doesn't do anything - my daughter sweats everytime she is in it which is annoying as its one of the reasons we purchased this due to living in a warm climate. Even with the aircon on, she still sweats after… Read more
20 mins.
We've had her in rental cars before and in those hire car seats after 2 hours shes still not sweaty so I definitely think the Thermo 5 fabric increases heat not decreases - buyer beware if you are wanting a 'cool' fabric - I'd suggest trying the Maxi-Cosi
Great but large – Great and comfortable but its really big so we had to return it. Wont fit in many cars that arent an SUV which is unfortunate. Was easy to install though Show details

Very secure and comfortable – I have a newborn so i wanted a seat that gave me peace of mind she would be as safe as possible, this seat gives me just that! She does look a little lost as there is alot of padding but this is not something im bothered by. She loves it and looks very cosy! It is a high priced car seat but i dont not regret the money spent Show details · 1

Safe And comfortable – Super comfy for bubs. Extended rear facing possible. Easy to adjust. Super padded, you can tell bubs is safe as possible. Only problem is that it takes a fair bit of space, so you wouldn’t be able to fit them next to each other. If that isn’t a concern, then it’s an amazing car seat. Show details · 1
Great value – Car seat is very safety with comfortable booster. Easy to install and my baby love to sit and sleep on it. My husband is working as uber driver and he can easily un/install the car seat by his own. Show details · 1
Love it – I installed the seat myself in under an hour. Harness is so easy to loosen/tighten. My baby looks sooo comfortable in the seat. And I feel he is as safe as he can be in his new carseat. Show details · 1
Great but could do with a few modifications – It's great as we had a very small baby and needed the extra insert so she fitted properly. Very handy with the isofix and easy to click into pram. Although it takes time to get it in and out of the car as you still have to put the straps around and tighten it up. Baby does get hot in it also. Show details · 1
Great Car Seat – We wanted a car seat for our four month old baby granddaughter that could be changed to forward facing when the time came. We have an over thirty year history with Britax products, her Dad had one when he was a baby, so we were happy to review their products. We bought a Britax Safe N Sound Platinum Pro SICT Kohl and installed it rear facing in… Read more · 1
my wife's VW Golf, soon we will turn it around. She's now old enough and big enough for a forward facing seat. My arthritic hands and old eyes are often defeated by the catches on other makes but the Britax harness works for me every time. My granddaughter loves the seat and has spent many happy hours sleeping or singing as we drive around, Another nice product from Britax.
So good so safe – Money well spent. Have owned ours over. Year. Seen our little darling from new born till now and will se her through a couple more years. When she was new born it looked so safe for her. Our little one is still rear facing. Australia recommends from 6 mths can forward face but all other professionals recommend still rear face, i think 18 mths,… Read more · 1
maybe a tad longer. So we are following their advice. Australia standards are minimum requirement. Everything comes off easy to clean. I was one of those people before little one was born, no eating in car haha. Well i understand now why alot of parents allow it haha.
where can i attach toy? – It's super comfy and the safest car seat in the market. Now i have leave of mind everytime i take bub in the car. However Wondering where can i attach toy on britax safe and sound platinum pro plus. Thank you Show details · 2
Great car seat – Very comfortable for my baby, he loves being in the car seat and falls asleep very easy. The car seat itself is easy to use and is very safe with all of the airbags/safety protection. It is on the more expensive end of car seats but is definitely worth it! Would recommend! Super Bulky but Give Peace of Mind – Very bulky.. heavy.. but when you see your child sits there, it gives you a peace of mind! Kid was difficult to climb in... and I had to let go before my son outgrown and it didn't fit on my boot since I have another big car seat. Show reply

Quality plus!! – Best seat there is. Easy to use, install and clean. I feel like my child is in the safest seat available. It is bulky due to the airbags but not much more than other seats. Easy to adjust too. I can’t recommend this seat enough. Show details · 1
Solid Seat – Waiting on our baby to be born but the quality of this seat seems superb. It fits into the isofix bar of our BMW X5 very easily and I have confidence it will be very safe. Show details · 1
Best car seat – Fantastic car seat! Comfortable and safe. Fits secure in car using isofix. We had it professionally fitted and certified. Great features as they grow. Easy to adjust straps and get your child out. Show details · 1
The little man gave it a big smile – We had a baby capsule but after two months our little man was already too big for it and too young to use the child’s car seat so we had to buy a third baby seat. We like this one because it can recline and has lots of growth room and later we can turn it around and face forward. We also like the bamboo material so it’s nice and cool which is very… Read more · 1
important in Brisbane in summer. We previously had the maxi cosi Titan but it was too warm probably good for Canberra. It’s good that the strap to the back rest doesn’t need to be attached each time but unfortunately it gets in the way but they have made an easy adjustable release on the strap. It has these new attachment points which would be handy for new model cars but for us in our 2001 astra it was just another strap to try and tuck away( tempted to cut that off) But the biggest approval of all came from our little man who endured being put into every single car seat in baby bunting and when he was placed in this one he put his arms onto the arm rest like a director and smiled. Since this was the only seat he smiled in that sealed the deal Unfortunately it was the most expensive one in the shop But if he smiles and doesn’t cry in the car worth every cent Ps it ended up on sale so saved hundreds
Dud car seat – I dislike this car seat but think that may be because I have a lemon. Find the straps very hard to loosen and tighten and never feel like they are tight enough on my son. 2 years later my parents brought the identical seat and it doesn’t have the same problem. For the price very disappointing to get the lemon Show details

Excellent and safe – We purchased a seat based on safety and quality. Britax by far had the best safety reviews and quality reviews over all of their range. This seat is a perfect fit for a our first little man. Only negatives I have are that the pads for the shoulder straps are really big so for smaller newborns it was a problem trying to fit them without… Read more · 1
obstruction the lower jaw and neck. Also the fabric is supposed to wick away moisture but this was not the case. We are in a hot and humid climate so I was disappointed with this, our little man also sweats when crying or frustrated so this was an added problem.
Otherwise it’s safe and secured nicely in our 4wd with no lose bits.
Such a wonderful child seat. Worth it – I have found this such a good purchase. Definitely worth the money. Comfortable for the child, easy to use and adjust and easy to clean also! The platinum pro is definitely worth spending the extra money on. Very satisfied customer. Whe I was purchasing I bumpers into somebody purchasing their second because they found it so good, and I competely agree!! Show reply
Great car seat – I think it’s very comfortable for my son, generally the quality is great however the straps twist a lot and are a little tricky to readjust Would also clean more often if I could pull it apart easier. We trust in the brand so have purchased another for our new baby too Show reply
Safest on the market – I have just purchased my second Britax Platinum PRO SICT car seat for baby #2. It is easy to install, easy to clean, easy to get DD in and out and is on the larger size which is great because of DD being tall and my wishes to remain rear facing for as long as possible. The material doesn’t seem to stain, although both are black. I highly recommend this car seat. Show reply
Safe and Functional – This is a great car seat. Bub is now 8 months and has always been happy to go into the seat. I love that the seat has additional padding for when bub is really little and that it’s super easy to remove when they get a bit bigger to give them more room and seat them deeper into the seat. Having had a reflux baby, I was so glad that the insert and… Read more · 1
cover we’re both super easy to wash in the machine and hasn’t yet gotten damaged while washing (it dries fairly quickly too on a sunny day). The only thing a bit trickier to wash was the actual buckle straps. This seat is easy to buckle up and undo without much fussing which makes it quick to put bub in and out of the car. The seat is quite bulky which can make it hard for someone to sit in the front seat when the seat is rear facing (if your car is small-middle size), however, it’s mainly bulky due to it being a safer seat so was a sacrifice I was willing to make. Overall, a fantastic seat!
Peace of mind with no exceptions – My childs car trips have become so much better for both them and myself. The comfort and practicality of this seat makes for a very enjoyable trip. And the safety features make for a less worried mind. Very easy to install. Drink holders are great too. Overall, you can't get better seat. Show reply
Good CREP rating and easy to use – We have been very happy with the seat having used it rearward facing for 13 months and forward facing for about the same. It fits large bubs and toddlers and is very easy to fit and use on a daily basis. Pros: -Good CREP rating in ISO fix mode (3-star rearward and 4-star forward facing) -Takes 10min to install once you're used to it -It has… Read more · 1
adjustable angles rearward and forward facing
-It is easy to fit the bub and tighten the straps
-Very easy to adjust the head rest and integrated shoulder strap height.
Cons:
-It's big. It takes up a lot of space rearward facing. Part of the reason is because the baby can be laid quite flat. You should check it fits before buying!
-It is very difficult to remove all the fabric to wash
Love this car seat – This car seat is very easy to install I installed it whilst being 6 months pregnant it fits perfectly in my Toyota kluger, my baby sleeps great in this car seat which I guess means she is comfortable, very easy to clean, great piece of mind also knowing it’s the top of the range and you can’t get better Show reply
