I bought one these. First time I tried to use it, wouldn’t turn on. I took it back to Repco . I got a replacement. After I used it for about three times, the nozzle split I took the nozzle back to Repco , they told me that the nozzle broke because… Read more

of misused. I asked for a nozzle replacement with the intention to pay for it. They told me that no parts were available and that I would have to buy a new one. This was the Repco Brookvale store. I told them that it was unbelievable that for just a nozzle I would have to purchase a new pressure washer. I would never buy a Mechpro pressure washer again.

Follow-up  · The nozzle spit, not strong enough for the pressure. Unable to get a replacement of the machine or obtain the parts. Parts not available to replace. I was told to buy a new machine. Ridiculous.

A great water blaster – I have owned my Mechpro for over 8 years and it is still going strong. Hasn't missed a beat over the years and I operated it for over 5 hours over the last 2 days without a problem. Sorry that they have been discontinued as I would buy the same model again. Performs so much better than my Karcher that I owned for 4 years Show details

Used sparingly over 6 years, then gun cracked – He's been in the garage in Newcastle for extended periods including 4 years of no use whilst we were in Sydney. Going great guns today cleaning the big balcony of cat poo and boom! a jet of water shot vertically upwards from the gun, just missing my face. It's pretty disappointing given its limited use, regardless of its age. Show details

Mechpro 1200 jump starter fail – Bought the second largest model as it stated it would start, up to a 5lt diesel. Less than 1 year old and kept fully charged, it won't even start a Mazda MX5 with a battery not much bigger than a bike. Same story last week for the second time on the MX5. The battery still had enough power to run lights and radio antenna. Clutch started the car… Read more

and 1 lap around the block, the battery could start it.

Had the same brand last time and it just died within 2 years and kept it charged as well. I didn't realize I had bought the same brand.

Real world 3 years use could not of asked for more – My Mechpro started life at home for the first 9-12 months, as a car detailer by trade the mechanics kept messing my bay up because their pressure washer died. I lost my Sh!t brought my mechpro in, put it in their corner and said leave me in fkn peace (this is at a dealership). The Mechpro unit sat in the weather, the elements, copped all sorts of… Read more

abuse well beyond I believe it's design for 3-4 monthse. It's a few years old now and doesn't always respond when you pull the trigger. I'm going to pull the out of warrenty unit apart, try and service it and hope for the Best. Also to be noted - Buy Repco Brand over Mechpro Whilst Repco sell Mechpro, on tools A repco Item gets warrenty honoured faster and easier

talk about a lemon ! – upon buying this model pressure cleaner it was very soon apparent it wasn't any good whatsoever, the micro switch burnt out only after 30 mins of operation, so I tried to get the part and was told no parts what so ever were carried by the dists, so what a waste of time even importing these into the country. I mean I got a… Read more

refund and decided to go with the best name I recognised, but has this country gotten that bad that they feel a need for this to be on a sales floor ??? when I returned it I wasn't even asked for a receipt or date purchased or where it was bought from so that tells me they must be pretty bad and the sales person said under her breath that they were very very bad. so what ever the price you see on them, just stay away from them is my advice. on the good points though, when unpacked they do look the goods though, but I cant rate it any lower than 1 star or I would, just pieces of crap stay away from them.

I won't buy this make again – The machine worked fairly ok the first time, about a year ago, but now, when I turned it on, it started and stopped a few times and then water came out the side of the nozzle. The next thing it stopped altogether. I thought the nozzle might have been blocked, but it was clear when I checked. I bought it from Repco Shop. Hopefully I can find the receipt so I can return it.

Pressure hose lasted less than an hour - not worth the money – Looked like a great machine and value for money, but all that came to an end. The pressure hose did not last. I only used it twice (approx 20 mins, the first time and approximately 35 minutes the second time), then a leak came through the hose. I taped it up and not soon after, another leak followed by more. The hose fell apart on me. Cheap… Read more

plastic. Poor quality.

I searched the house for the receipt so I can return the product, but could not find it. I do know I bought the product around 11-13 months ago, but could not remember when. I had it sitting in the box for a while in the garage. I attempted to return it at Repco. but was advised that if I had no receipt then I cannot return it. The staff then went on to say that he's seen 5 of these return in the last month, all with the same hose problems and that they were no longer purchasing from this manufacturer. I pleaded with him, but again he stated no. I went home, looked again for the receipt, but nothing. I went back the week later and again was advised that I must have a receipt. I searched online for a replacement hose, but these hose fittings were not compatible. I then found a local hose manufacturer and bought a high grade hose for almost the price of the unit itself and now able to use this product again.

Firstly, how can a company get away with selling products that they themselves admit as poor quality - I don't know. I would have thought there would be a fair trading law against selling substandard products that don't last a reasonable time. Secondly, I was very dissapointed not just on the product, but from the staff not being understaning of the situation. My fault for misplacing the receipt. This product's quality is so bad that it should have been recalled. I will never step a foot in one of these stores again and would not recommend it to anyone.

My advice - Stick with well known brands and steer away from cheap imitations.

Good while it works – Has been good for some time but now it starts and stops all the time. Hose brittle and for the price I should not have expected quality. Will not be worth a repair. I could not really expect it to be any good for the price I paid. Next time I will buy a decent brand. Good pressure Stops working

No Good – Brought a mechpro from Repco Papamoa. After just 2 hours on the first day the hose wore through to a point that water burst through the side wall. Took hose back and helpful staff replaced it. If a hose cant handle being dragged over the paving that you are cleaning then it is not fit for purpose. Next the pump stopped working after only a few… Read more

hours work. We had been stopping every twenty minutes or so to rest the machine but no good. Took machine back to shop & after some convincing the staff replaced the machine. Now this machine has sprung a leal from inside the body of the unit therefore it wont maintain pressure. Will take unit back for a full refund & will not get a mechpro ever again. Nothing
