Methven Aio Hi Rise Shower

Best feeling shower ever!!! – Honestly unbelievably good!!! I once, in an old job, got product training on shower heads and was informed this was the very best and that all AU Hilton hotels have this shower head (?). Since then I dreamed of experiencing it one day! We bought it for our BnB accommodation this year and hands down it makes you drool! Our (3x the price) Grohe… Read more
shower head in our shower, looks nice and feels nice, but this Methven Aurajet round Aio feels AMAZING! Like tiny, tinkeling sparkles that drench you. No jet stream, no rain, but sparkles! I love it and thought it deserved this review. I shower in our BnB every opportunity I get!!!
Terrible concept and expensive – If you have long thick hair, this shower head does not have a strong enough flow to be able to rinse the centre of your scalp. The empty centre design means you have to place the shower head at least 30cm from your head for the water to connect and actually be able to wash your hair. Due to the extra distance required, alot of the pressure is lost… Read more
and it feels like a really soft tickle shower rather then a strong flowing shower, leaving shampoo/conditioner residue in my hair because its very difficult to rinse out. The only way to get a proper wash is to manoeuvre the shower head along your actual head (which is really hard with the centre being empty) or to section your hair bit by bit until it finally washes out, which makes shower times much much longer. Definitely not something I would recommend with families with girls and long hair.
Best shower head on the market – Don't waste your money on trying other shower heads. This is it! Low pressure is even handled well. I am NOT affiliated with Methven. I wish I had invented this shower head!
Fantastic shower with Aio aurajet hi-rise shower head – Installed aurajet shower head in my newly renovated bathroom, wow what a shower, the pressure is good and feels great, I'd say best shower Ive ever had. Only one small downside hard to avoid spray spraying your face when standing forward.
Good feel shower head but pricey and low flow – I have had this shower head a few months now. When I bought my current place the old fixed shower head had seals worn and was spraying water all over the place. But the old shower head really drenched which was nice if it wasn’t spraying water all up the walls. I got the long fixed arm version(hi rise) of the Aio. It was easy to install and… Read more
looks superb. The feel of the water is good but in comparison to the old drencher it does feel a little like a trickle and so showers in general take longer as the spray is more directed(smaller spread) and lower flow rate then the old one. I’d like it to have a bit more power. While the old one was probably using massive amounts of water I feel this thing pinchs on the water saving a little too hard. Still a good shower head but if you like to be bombarded and have a quick shower I’d suggest looking for another option
Methven slide damaged and struggling to obtain replacement – Update. Methven have come good and despatched the damaged part to me. They really need to do something about harvey norman Trying to install Methven in Australia has not been easy. Tried to order through Reece but it never arrived from Methven in Victoria or I was informed the wrong product was supplied. So purchased a Methven rain shower at… Read more
Harvey Norman Castel Hill along with all mixers. Once the bathroom was tiled the plumber opened the box and found the rail damaged. Took it back to the Harvey Norman Castle Hill bathroom section who immediately refused to replace as the box was opened. Am I superman with X-ray vision? How can you know a product is damaged without opening the box? An appalling customer service experience.
However, dealing with Methven has not been good. If you are upset they email you are "abusive" even if not a single personal comment or swear word has been used. Thin skinned, precious and suspicious. Sort of pretend service.
I have used Methven gear for decades but I am ceasing being an advocate for them after this.
Totally worth it – Does this shower work as good as it looks? Err, yeah, totally. The only down side is that it's so good you won't want to get out. As far as I know it doesn't use any more water than most showers at 9L per minute on full blast. Having traveled fairly extensively here and abroad, it's possibly the best shower I've ever had. It even surpasses… Read more
the time I'd not had a shower for a number of days only to find the shower where we were staying was plugged into the wall with some sort of electrical socket (presumably to heat water/kill people) fastest shower I'd ever had, Spaniards must have quite relaxed safety laws???
