Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 15" Intel Core i7 16GB RAM, 512GB

Don't buy a laptop with Windows 11 – I don't know why Windows is keeping update systems while they cannot make their current windows run smooth like apple. This is maybe my last Windows laptop. I previously thought Microsoft system can run well within its own system. However, the problems keep coming out. When I already use for 3 years, I feel sick for this laptop. The screen brightness will automatically change, even you don't allow it to change to the environment. The time zone will change frequently as well. And when I realised these problems, it already does not allow users to change back to Windows 10.

A brilliant laptop - but Battery Life Uh! – OK this laptop is brilliant - I love the feel the features the speed the touch screen and even Window11 doesn't seem too bad on this machine. BUT Microsoft specify the battery life (in the sales material) as being up to 17 hours for the 15". I know they always tend to over rate the time possible, for instance if Apple says 17 Hours I would expect 15 or so under my normal human use. This laptop is giving me (on browsing, email Excel and low screen brightness) a maximum of 5.5 hours. Less than a third of the specified battery life.

I bought 2 (for work) so I can confirm mine is not an anomaly. One has Windows home and on has Windows Pro (Upgraded after purchase. Both are fully updated and minimum software bloatware on them. When I purchased them I did not buy an extra power source as they are very expensive and not needed if the battery life is as stated. Well I have had to change that thinking an buy one for home.

So in summary a great laptop with a beautiful finish and great functionality. But It has the worst battery life of any laptop I have bought in the last 10 years.
